Got some jerky and sausage for my family for Christmas. Jerky was very flavorful and tender, you can tell it’s very fresh and natural. The summer sausages were delicious. Shipping was fast too! We also got some of the dog treats and those were a huge hit with the doggies. Can’t wait to try more from Hi-Country!

I drive to Helena to avoid this store. The little girls working there need to get off their phones and help customers find what they are searching for. At most they wave in the general vicinity and turn their backs to have their private girl talk. No respect for a customers time, I'd fire them if they worked for me. Least helpful shop hands I've ever seen, their knowledge of the shop contents is abysmal. Read jerky package ingredients carefully, bags are misleading and not what they say. Kids section is a joke, bunch of overpriced dollar store junk and very little for the boys. Large gaps in clothing and jewelry sizes. They do have a strange but lovely selection of foods, if you want huckleberry flavored etc ceteras this is the place to go. Know when it's time to pay you'll struggle to find an employee willing to help as shop employees are busy with their local teen gossiping. The businesswoman in me can't help but how many people just leave without paying with how little attention these girls pay to their jobs since they have no respect for anyone else's time. I come from a small town, girls like this are what make small towns off-putting to those who come spend their money passing through. Great falls and Helena are close enough, I drive there instead of going to this store. I'm guessing it's the owners daughter/s, but I don't know, they are definitely very secure in being very bad at their jobs. I don't like leaving bad reviews but the owner needs to know their shop isn't what it once was. Disappointed, to say the least. I really wanted to like that store since there isn't much else to do in town, but dang.... who decided high schoolers should run the place instead of adults that know what they are doing 😂 notice the empty shelving in a recent photo by another reviewer? Case in point. They aren't busy just lazy little gossip girls. Not the store it was even just a few years ago.

I remember many years ago how wonderfully addictive your jerky was, my mom and sister would send it to me when I was in the army, and I would always stop in Lincoln every time going through to visit and stock up. As a kid I always enjoyed the king B jerky and HI Country was even better. I'm not sure what happened but it's just not the same jerky anymore, I still buy from time to time but can't find that good strip jerky anymore. I hope maybe one day it will come back.

Since they deleted my post from their Facebook page, Google it is!The Flat style jerky used to be amazing, solid strip beef jerky. They have since renamed it "cowboy cut". I figured it was just an image update and ordered two 10 oz. bags, as I do multiple times a year. I received my order today and I am pretty sure it is just rebranded Jack Links, and it is gross. For twice the price, but the exact texture, chew (or lack thereof) and it is very moist and almost oily. You could eat this even if you didn't have teeth. I bought a bag of Jack's from the gas station and could not tell a difference, other than the Jack's was significantly cheaper. Hi-Country raised their price on this, but lowered their quality. I had a few good years where I found the holy grail of REAL beef jerky with them. Alas, they too have fallen to quantity over quality 😪

Maybe I just got a bad batch or something. But if you could cut back on the gristle it would be much better. The flavor is good.

The best jerky’s of anywhere in USA🇺🇸The gift shop has wonderful service and awesome peeps with excellent personality’s and info to help y’all with anything they carry 🤠Plus y’all can test a flavor or type if you’re not sure what to pick🤗😋There are every type of meat and flavors you could ever want 🎉Well I think so anyhow 😉 🙋🏻‍♀️Ps.They also have sooo many other MT goodies at their Trading Post ENJOY🍀🦋🐞

Greasy to the touch greasy to the touch greasy to the taste Will not be buying this again But there is a lot for your money A lot of what I don't know I don't care for shoe leather Really tough It had been dead for a long time
