The outside was a little bit scary looking so I was bit apprehensive but other than that, this exceeded my expectations (typically stay in hotels but Glacier is expensive). The room we got was large and clean, including the bathroom (It was huge and included a soaking size tub). The kitchen had everything we could think of (there was even a toaster, microwave, slow cooker). The front desk was super nice despite all my questions! The front office has a mini breakfast spread with oatmeal, tea bags, milk, cereal, snacks/pre-packaged snacks and lent us bear spray. Some cons: It is a mini fridge so your ice cream perhaps won't be super cold but it'll work and a watermelon probably not going to fit. I will note they do have a last check in -time, she gave me a call to remind me.

*4.5 overall rating.Wonderful experience overall. This is our second stay here, and we will stay again. The rooms are very clean and look to have been recently renovated. The rooms are also pricey ($200 per night in September) but spacious and 12 minutes from Glacier National Park. Room service is provided but only upon request. Lucinda was excellent and gave us anything needed, including local restaurant/activity recommendations. She also gave us bear spray since we did not bring any along. The drive to East Glacier takes around 2 hours and 15 minutes if you take the Sun Road.

My daughters and I really liked this motel. It's got a vintage vibe and has great amenities, including a dining table, a kitchenette with all the supplies you might need (including plastic utensils to take with you if needed) and a huge bathroom. We really appreciated the grab-and-go breakfast options. If I come back to Glacier, I'll definitely stay here again.Noteworthy details: There is a grocery store across the street and several restaurants nearby.

Great room, very comfortable and cute. Our flight was delayed and I felt really guilty about our late check in..sensed some annoyance about it, which i get, it was late. Ultimately still had good service, but maybe an after hours check in process with lock boxes/codes would be helpful for staff and guests. Appreciated the breakfast stuff and that the office staff offered for us to take a couple boxes of cereal and milks for the next morning after I mentioned we were leaving at like 5am.

Probably the cleanest motel I've ever stayed at. The proprietor was very nice and personable. There's free coffee and grab-and-go breakfast, and when I visited they were offering to lend bear spray for free (you have to return it) for safety purposes! Add in secure, reliable wi-fi and a sublime bathroom and this place is a gem for its price.

I’ll definitely come back here next time! Super CLEAN and cute UPDATED rooms. Free wifi. I’m fairly picky about hotel rooms and generally find them icky, but I feel very comfortable here. The location is great for Glacier visits!

Decent Motel at a convenient location. Room large enough and comfortable. Mattress old, creaky and lumpy. A little noisy. On the expensive side. Considering how hard it is to find lodging in this area and the high prices around, not a bad choice.Nearby activities: Close to Glacier National Park.

"Squeaky Clean" caught my attention as we decided to stay longer in the area and started looking for a place to crash. This beautifully located motel was indeed squeaky clean and in good condition. The bathroom was roomy, carpet was clean, the beds comfy and the hostess friendly. Glad they truly had bragging rights about being squeaky clean.

I stayed here last year in September. It was really quiet at this time of year, with only a handful of others staying. The lady at the front desk is really nice. I was happy that they allow pets in the rooms, just not on the beds, which is understandable! There is a small grassy area in the back to walk your dog around. The rooms, beds, and showers were clean. I would stay here again.

Stayed here as we were passing through headed to Glacier National Park. Decent price for the location, and they have a lot of rooms which means they usually have availability which was nice for us as we were looking for a place last minute. Rooms were clean, the people at the front desk were nice yet a little sarcastic (my sense of humor) and overall a decent spot for the night. The walls are a little thin - so just a heads up if you're a light sleeper. We didn't have too many issues, just something I notice after staying in so many motels. My only other complaint was that the pillows were a bit flat (and they didn't provide many extra to supplement) and I could tell that the sheets were polyester or some other form of synthetic fabric as they didn't breathe that well. I struggled sleeping as I woke up hot during the night a few times even with the AC on full blast. Overall a decent spot for a night's stay while passing through. Good value for the area.

The lady at the front desk is very nice and accommodating. I had a great experience at this place. Had to stay there unexpectedly on a holiday weekend, and the price was very reasonable compared to everything else around. Great location, and you can get your bear spray from the convenience store right across the street for $30 instead of $50 like everywhere else!

Visited during the off-season so was given an upgrade to a suite (the front desk attendant noticed we were traveling with a7 year old) which was a nice and convenient surprise. Rooms were clean and the kitchenette was well stocked for cooking.Only complaint is that the sidewalks were very icy as there were no rain gutters so all the snow and dripping eaves froze on the edge of The sidewalk.Overall a good experience.

What a gem! We had an updated room (nothing like most of the outdated pics online). Very clean rooms. 2 comfy queen beds, small kitchen with all the items you need to make a meal, table & chairs to eat at, smart TV & wifi. They have roll out beds for an added person. Walking distance to gas stations, grocery store & restaurants. Very close to the entrance of Glacier. Quick pre packaged breakfast items (oatmeal, cereal, etc). Would definitely come back!

Cheapest lodging we found for the date we needed. Google took us the back way to it. Host/Receptionist was very welcoming and accommodating. Wish the Wi-Fi Password was left to parents to decide, as to whether or not it should be given to a child/teenager. Room was very clean. It had a fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. Sink and bathroom had soap/shampoo/body wash dispenser. Room was well provisioned.

The room was good. Clean and a good size to accommodate 4 guests. The hotel was also pretty quiet and pretty conveniently located. But the drains were really slow in both the sink and shower, and the table is such cheap particle board that the surface is seriously warped from moisture from past condensation, I guess. Also, the ice machine only worked for the first 2 days (we stayed 4 days/5 nights), and they only offer 2 really flat pillows for each bed (so bring your own pillow or you'll have to suffer through the increasing back pain). The breakfast is definitely old-school "continental." They only offer cereal, plain milk, some instant oatmeal packets, canned juices, and a few packaged pastries (but high marks for the variety of juices offered!). The good news is that they let you pick up your breakfast the night before if you're setting out hiking early, and you have a fridge in your room, so you can run to a grocery store and buy something a little more substantial like yogurt and fresh fruit to help make your breakfast more balanced and hearty. So, all in all, for such a small motel, it was good enough. But, it's basically a $50 room in a $75 location. For roughly the same ~$150 total/night, though, you can actually stay INSIDE the park... But only if there are 2 people or less in your party (because the lodge rooms are much smaller and only sleep 2 for that price). We had 3 in our group, so that's why we went this route, instead.Overall, I would have only given 3 stars compared to other places we've stayed (including in the area around Glacier NP), but the willingness of the staff to accommodate our late flight arrival for checking in (we didn't know that would be a problem, not having had that issue with even later arrivals elsewhere), AND letting you pick up your breakfast the night before (we have had that issue elsewhere)... definitely raised them up a bar in my book. Some of the small motels like this aren't nearly as accommodating.

The Motel was really clean and the room was brand new. It has two beds (fit 4), tv, one table with two chairs and a small bathroom. Location was amazing, close to the park and has a grocery store and a gas station really close. The breakfast is basic but it can be picked up the day before to head up early. We had a wonderful experience and it clearly exceeded our expectations!

My travel partner says 3 stars, but I'm writing a 4 star review. Considering this is a budget motel near a national park, it delivered adequately for our needs. Pretty cheap. Pretty clean. Pretty close to the park. Good parking. Safe. Near gas, grocery, and booze. We were glad we brought our own pillows and personal care products. Otherwise adequate.

This place is ok. Our room was dated and the beds were not super comfortable. Our walls were paper thin and we could hear the baby next to us crying. The carpet in the room looked old and definitely needs to be replaced. I chose this place because it’s close to GNP, a grocery store, gas and a short drive to restaurants. I think I paid a premium booking over a holiday weekend. I would stay here again, but it’s nothing special.

In A Nutshell:-Mini Golden Inns Motel is the perfect place for you to stay if you want to be close to Glacier National Park.-It's about 25 minutes northwest of Kalispell & about 15 minutes from the West Glacier entrance.-It's in a small town called Hungry Horse (aka the Best Damn Town in the West) that is divided by Highway 2.-I really liked the room which was very clean w/ the parking right outside the door.-I felt safe & secure the entire stay.-The lady who works the front is very sweet & kind.-You can get free coffee, there also laundry detergent/dryer sheets & bear spray (cheaper than renting at Kalispell airport, so my advice is to rent it here) available at the front desk.-If you like huckleberry jam, this town & all the surrounding towns have plenty of jam!-There's a small grocery store, breakfast diner & gas station directly across the street too.Overall, I highly recommend staying at this motel b/c it's very convenient to everything you need for a great trip to Glacier National Park.

Great location if you’re visiting Glacier NP! Staff was friendly and rooms were clean (although a little outdated). Water pressure was good, they had some breakfast items, there is a grocery store nearby as well as a gas station. Overall good place to stay!
