Alameda's Hot Springs greeted us with a rainbow! How thoughtful was that? This place has a beautiful, peaceful, fun and joyous spirit about it. Both times my feline fur baby and I have visited have been such a blessing for us.The rooms were squeaky clean. The beds were posh with super soft cozy sheets and bedding. Best of all, the claw foot tubs in the rooms I chose filled with that healing beautiful water to soak in brought such rejuvenation to my body and spirit I felt I was being blessed by Undines. My cat, Kaya, was thrilled to be able to go outside, explore the grounds, roll in the dirt and sniff at the flowers and just get her toes in some pesticide free and safe nature. We Both enjoyed and appreciated that. The people who work there are remarkably kind. I will look forward to my next visit and the next and the next.Thank you so much Alameda's and all the good people of Hot Springs for making our visits so nice and laid back.

Great place to take a relaxing vacation. Some rooms have soaking tubs in them and some do not. Be aware that when staying there there are no pools outside that are included in your room fee. Three tubs outside can be reserved for private use at $10 per hour and have to be scheduled at the front desk same with the sauna. The rooms have kitchen amenities and the yard area is gorgeous especially the little garden! Would definitely recommend and will definitely be back!

Really enjoyable stay. Two things to be aware of, the cabins are clean but a little rustic so the layout of things like lavatories might not be like a modern home or hotel, also the water at Hot Springs is pretty potent in terms of odor. Maybe that's part of the reported health benefits of a good long soak but if you are sensitive to volcanic odors this is good to know in advance. With that said Alameda's is a great place to stay and we look forward to returning often

This place was so relaxing. It is super un-pretentious so dont expect anything fancy out of your room. Its basic but has everything you need and is comfortable and clean. The star of the show was relaxing in the outdoor private tubs at night. I arrived late and they were kind enough to fill a tub for me so I could so soak at 8:30. Laying in the warm mineral water while watching the colors change in the sky was so lovely. The grounds were super cute with picnic table around and a deck. I drove an hour and a half out of my way to spend a night here and it was worth it.

This is an older building but the rooms are by far the best in town. It is quiet and you have a private outdoor hot tub available with the spring water. Additionally, each room has a soaking tub with spring water. Keep in mind all water in the room is from the springs. Our beds were very comfortable and we had a kitchen with small stove, fridge and small coffee pot. We were able to select from homegrown tomatoes and zucchini from the garden. The staff is great and responsive. The town is eclectic but we never felt unsafe. They gave us a small pamphlet with several great hikes. We ate our meals at Fergies and the food was delicious. This is an ideal spot for a few days of hiking, soaking and relaxing.

The rooms are old, historic feeling etc. I love it. Hate there is no tv, hate the putrid smell, guessing it’s the sulphur (mineral) water. Really hate the crackhead eyeballing my truck, and the crackhead smoking crack at the front door of the bar. This without question has to be the town that dreaded sundown. I’ll probably be up all night making sure someone don’t come in one of the 12 doors.Safety: Safety? Not anywhere close!

Really loved this place. The decore is dated, but that’s part of its charm. Stayed in cabin #3 with my partner and his 11 year old son. We enjoyed the deep, jetted tub with the mineral water. It was so nice to get off a 8hr road trip and be able to soak at our own leashes. Provided extra towels which was very nice. Also the fully stocked kitchen which I wasn’t expecting! It was so nice to have all the equipment we needed to cook. The front desk people were relaxed and pleasant. The beds were firm, but we found that we really liked that! We had our dog with us and the staff was really accommodating and welcoming. The door to outside was really nice! Worth the price and would totally come back again

I loved this place and wish I could go back. The cabins are ancient but they have big kitchens and comfortable beds and there are a number of hot springs to soak in the area, including one you can walk to.. The town itself has a great organic grocery and cafe. From our cabin porch we enjoyed watching the many resident deer. The staff were helpful and friendly. They encourage you to pick vegetables from the garden. I just wish they wouldn’t blast the air conditioners for hours while the cabins are empty.

Alameda’s is an adorable little gem. Our room was clean, smelled nice, and featured a lovely little porch. In the summer their garden is lush with vegetables and flowers, the grass is green and fresh, and baby deer frolic about wistfully. A short stroll from Big Medicine hot springs, this resort offers everything you need for a relaxing (and romantic) weekend getaway.

I loved the mineral baths in the room! Deep and the water was so refreshing. The whole place is just so peaceful, plants everywhere, happy people wandering about. I slept sooooo well in room number 8, almost 12 hours! Beds are very soft and comfortable. The suites are generously sized with separate living, sleeping, and eating areas. Kitchen was perfect for cooking. It's very quaint and old timy, but clean and cozy. Oh, my only complaint is it smells slightly of sulfur, but can't expect much else when the mineral water is pumped into your suite! I would have loved to have stayed longer, they even have a masseuse on site!

I have never stayed in any of the rooms but have attended several events and had massages there. It is a very relaxed place with kind people who work there and a lot of positive energy.Nearby activities: Blues Festival, Farmers Market, Music, hot springs, frisbee golf, hikingWalkability: close to the tiny downtown area, other hot springs, hiking trails, and the food and music venues in town.

We loved our stay at this charming, rustic place. We picked a room with an old fashioned bathtub and enjoyed soaking at least once every day. We picked fresh greens from the garden and cooked them in our kitchenette. Paul the owner was a great host, offering tips for bike rides and restaurants, and letting us use the land line. While the place is older it's very clean, and it's prices are low. We left refreshed after two nights at Alameda's

I love this place with the exception of the window blinds that didn't move or the shower with very low pressure (room#2). The water had a very strong sulfur smell, but that's to be expected in a town with hot springs.Hotel manager is very nice and overall I had a nice stay. Will definitely come back.

Summary: Hot Springs has poor cell service and the motel suite wifi is a bit spotty. After dropping roughly $350 for three nights I was charged $20 (not $10 like I expected) for late checkout. A disappointing end to an otherwise enjoyable visit.(FYI: I'm not sure the doors to the shared porch lock. I didn't notice until the last day or I would not have slept so well.)I was dealing with an impossible situation, communicated to the front desk and owner (I was trying to help my parents before leaving town) but felt like I could not leave because I would be disconnected from the call after working with TracFone for hours.I suppose there is no need for compassion when your rooms are full. Therefore they lost stars for what would have otherwise been a wonderful experience. Not the small town "hope to see you again" I was hoping for.Booked future visits to HS through Airbnb.LONGER VERSIONThe suite was lovely. I enjoyed the deep tub and mineral water. The view is so so. I didn't open the window shades all of the way because of obstructions to the beautiful mountain view.Without going into detail about my nightmare with TracFone, I was handling a frustrating situation for my parents (very, very frustrating). Once I knew it was going to run long I called the front desk to pay for late checkout which I thought would be $10.While dealing with the most frustrating phone call in my recent life (no joke), the owner knocked on the door. (The inside door to the shared enclosed deck apparently cannot be locked - I'm glad I didn't realize this until then or I wouldn't have slept nearly as well.) I was on the phone with the nightmare corporation (a whole other story) and explained what was happening (I was trying to help my parents with this issue before I drove back to Missoula and did not want to do this in the dark).Because of the poor cellphone service and spotty wifi there was one area in the suite where I felt I could be sure my call would not be dropped. I put my belongings on the front porch because I was afraid I would lose my call if walked to my car. I was fine with the $10 and felt that was fair. The additional $10 felt a bit like an FU (what am I going to do about it) after experiencing a frustrating and stressful situation. If I spent the extra 2 hours in the tub, ok. But the owner was aware that I wasn't trying to squeeze more leisure time out of them, I was trying to help my parents before I left town.

Old Town that time forgot about.Whole town In need of maintenance / repairs. Which makes this town affordable.Smells bad, Real Bad.. Water is soothing but hard to tolerate the smell. Alamedas needs to install their own outdoor hot tub or similar soak tub on site. No TV. No cell service Broken baseboard heaters = 20 degrees F. Outside. Can walk to Symes or short drive to the closest Hot Springs. Local cop was lingering at the pool unwanted. As for cabin 19 I wanted to repair electrical, plumbing, flooring, repaint and leave an air freshener. But I was on vacation. Best part was Wild horse's tarnished history (googled it). We Won't go back to this town. Also Bring what you eat drink and smoke. Town closes early and is closed Sunday??? Bars are open = Good luck with the cop.

I paid for 3 nights with my credit card but we could not stay 3 nights due to the strong smell of bug spray that was making us sick. I asked to be refunded my money for the last night we did not stay. I was told it would be put back on my card I waited a day or so and called and they said they couldn’t refund me because they lost my card information and asked for my card number and expiration I gave it and did get my refund back along with some charges in another country on my card a few days later causing me to lock my card and order a new one😡 my credit card company flagged my card and I could not purchase groceries. Do not give your card information to these people.
