I live out of town, and shop every 1 or 2 weeks. I purchased kraft sharp cheddar shredded cheese. Went to make a meal 2 days later and 3 bags all had mold. I didn't get back to store for 2 weeks. I was at the cheese area and mentioned to the worker there that I bought bad cheese 2 weeks before. And quite loudly he said.. bring your receipt and return. I told him I threw everything away, and no receipt. But it's OK, I just wanted you to know.And as I picked up more cheese right next to him 5 more where covered with mold.REALLY! Shame on them.Be careful

My bank reissued my debit card and it is tap to pay only and I was unable to check out at the register due to the fact that your stores do not accept to pay. This is a payment system that has been in use for 19 years now in the United States and your company still does not have the ability to tap to pay and I was forced to block the line for good amount of time for them to figure out how to undo the order and then I had to leave without my groceries. I am extremely disappointed and probably will think twice about coming back to winco foods even though you have good pricing but I can't pay for my food.

Customer for years, I brave the bulk nuts/dried fruits & grain bins. Phased out a bit while doing math in my head and had a Ms. Magoo worker with over sized owl glasses tells me to "ask if I had questions and that there are no FREE Samples". Three other customers were around and she seemed proud of herself & politely told her I have NEVER tried a free sample from bins, she huffed off with a "Whatever" as I tried to show her discreetly, I HAVE GUM in my mouth. NOW, I have a resentment toward a place I enjoyed shopping at. People seem to assume the worst Ieveryone and I didn't want to insult her with how dirty the bins are sometimes.Obviously taking a risk shopping these bins as it is, and how gross it would be to lift and eat a sample directly from. The accusation & experience has absolutely disgusted me & has forever tainted my good vibe go to grocery store.Really? Yea. Damn.

Parking was not the best, but parking has been bad at all the WinCo's I've ever been to. The produce I purchased was fresh. They also carry Shasta soda incase you wondered who carries it here in MT. It is Thanksgiving week and they had everything you need for a great feast. They were all working hard stocking the shelves at 2pm. Most of the stores in GF were out of everything, so we made the trip to Helena.

The black beany wearing night crew member is a huge creeper. He made my little sister really uncomfortable staring.Beware working night crew! The supervisor Jim has a huge chip on his shoulder and is extremely rude to new hires and likes to throw out insults and belittle you. When he is not doing that he is staring at the young girls in the store. Some of their product is left out too long before it's refrigerated and even molds! Low wage employees that throw out insults and snitch on each other. Beware using self checkout, the card reader could compromise your card information! I tried voicing all my concerns and was ignored at all levels. Big shout out to all the great people who work there as well. Thanks for all the hard work you do.

Along with great prices that routinely beat the other stores in town, the customer service is typically great. I appreciate how whenever I need assistance I can always quickly find an employee to talk to. All to often at big stores it’s impossible to track down help, not at all the case here. The only thing I would change about this store is the meat department. While the employees are kind and helpful in that area, there does not appear to be a butcher cutting fresh meat.

Clean, well lit warehouse style store. Green sale tags are usually the cheapest price in my small town. Shout out to the produce department. They successfully help me feed a 6’7” college soccer player who is mostly vegetarian.

We spend $1000 a week here at least , we love the products and customer service in produce, deli and meat department. Today we had the rudest cashier I have ever experienced! Kash T your rudeness to elderly customers is not acceptable . If you can’t handle the front, stay in the back. We will gladly take our business elsewhere if this is how you treat people!!!!

Winco used to be my favorite grocery store until they sold my 11 year old daughter a "$40" giftcard to Amazon with a balance of $0. The lady at the check out told her to come back if it doesn't work. Winco refused to refund the card and the corperate office won't return phone calls. Also loved it when I was bagging some bulk items and I realized one item had developed a hole in the bag during the checking process. The product was spilling out onto the conveyor belt. I told the checker guy and he said, "what do you want me to do?". I thought the options for good customer service were obvious but apparently not. Needless to say I am disguisted and take my business elsewhere now.

I love this place cheapest bulk store next to Costco, only reason my review is so low is just yesterday I ran into the most ignorant young lady, I can’t believe the kind of employees we hire nowadays, anyways she was a shorter young lady with dark hair her name tag said Neveah she was slamming cans on the shelf I stopped to ask about chow mein I got a “are u kidding me?” under her breath and a mean stare she then reply’s “can’t you see I’m busy” and find it yourself I’ve never seen such bad customer service I know a company doesn’t reflect one employee but how are you letting employees act like this, anyways hope I bring myself to come back and hope I don’t see her or meet anyone else like her

Of all the times I’ve shopped here, 10/10 times I’ve had a poor experience with a rude employee. I’ve yet to meet a kind cashier, as a matter of fact! Every encounter I’ve had checking out, the cashier was complaining about the way that I bagged items, the way that I put items on the belt, etc.The last cashier I had (didn’t care to catch her name, but she was an older gal with long brown curly hair) kept throwing her hands up in disgust because she seemed to be annoyed that I had a few bags from the bins that she had to type in the numbers for. I told her that if it was too difficult we can just put the bag of goods back and she began to yell at me saying I did it incorrect. They were labeled, correctly! I made sure considering how I’ve been scorned in the past for not doing it correctly. Boy I never made that mistake again! As much as I love shopping affordably here, I won’t be back! Which is a shame because I really do enjoy winco.

Best prices on almost everything and the quality is higher than Walmart. It’s all good food and I really appreciate the relative cleanliness here. This is THE place to get groceries in Helena

I enjoy this store. The cashier's are good and the people are nice. If they accepted credit cards it would be a lot nicer but that is a personal preference. They say they don't so they can keep costs lower. I just noticed one of my dairy products went up over a dollar per quart since a month ago when I bought it. This is clearly not their fault although it is their brand name. They are a good store with a large selection of bulk items which I personally do not use. If a person did I'm sure it's a great asset. They do have several in store prices that are good but I just think this store is average like the rest of them.

We purchased potato salad from the deli as a bit of an afterthought when we saw it was on sale. It was AMAZING!! I’ve tried several deli made potato salads and this potato salad is a 10+. Thank you whoever made it ❤️.

About the only thing they have going for them are decent prices for grocery items and the bulk foods. Their produce is always terrible, meat department is often disappointing, and they don't have a good selection of a lot of things. Their customer service is some of the worst I've come across. Most recent visit, the cashier didn't seem like he knew how to do his job well or have proper training to do one of the most basic parts of his job. He was very rude and when he had to call a manager to help him, he acted like it was our fault. Then the manager treated us like we were an inconvenience because his cashier didn't know what he was doing. They were both extremely rude and unprofessional. Most of the employees stocking overnight are usually very rude as well. It seems like they're understaffed and overworked (like everywhere else) and they take it out on the customers.

I have loved Winco for years and was so happy when they came to Helena. I love the bulk foods and Winco named products are excellent. Prices for meat are great and the meat and most other products are high quality. Customer service is great. The store is always clean and well stocked, even during covid. Really glad it is open 24 hrs again and doesn't seem to suffer from supply shortages. I miss the pizza seasoning that was discontinued 😢. But I love the Pershing donuts. You won't be disappointed shopping here and taking advantage of the sales.

I was at winco tonight checking out at 9:50 when the lady at self check out ran to my register and closed it as I put my items up . My friend was at the self checkout across from me so I told the worker I would use that register after . My baby began to cry so I went to adjust her bottle and the lady ran up to the register and closed it and told me I had to go to the back of the only line they had open with 6 people in that line with my screaming baby and friend who already checked out . Mind you it was 9:55.. was extremely rude and the minute she made us leave she ran to clock out . After working in retail for three years I have never treated a customer so poorly ...

This is my first time in a WinCo foods and it's my new favorite grocery store! After spending way too much money in a health food store last week and feeling ripped off, I was so happy to see very reasonable prices on groceries, and happily stocked up with the same amount of food as last week for more than half the price!

Night shift staff needs to be re-trained in how to handle long lines and possibly stressful situations. Cashier was outwardly irritated and angry, causing customers to feel that way. (Myself included). There was a card issue or something of that sorts that hung up the line. The cashier responded with being irate and impatient. Other two staff members seemed to be doing nothing to help really, finally someone hopped on a register. A customer in front of me alleged I cut someone in line (which I didn't) and the cashier didn't say a word to me during the whole transaction despite me trying to be friendly and lighten the stressful situation. I won't be returning for late night groceries ever again.Humans are still human, even when your busy. And we should be treated as such.

Night time employees seem very stressed and burdened by your presence. Stephen the cashier and Clark the manager i had during my last visit were very unprofessional and seemed to be having a bad night and needed to take it out on someone and I guess they like to pick the customers. Very disappointed with how they acted and I won't be going back.

Clean store, friendly staff, decent (not great) selection, good prices, but not everything is cheaper than other stores. I didn't like that they don't take credit cards and you don't find out until you're checking out. I also would prefer they had someone there to help bag your groceries so you could be in and out more quickly. Unfortunately for me driving from out of town, it wasn't worth my time and I won't stop again.
