Not the biggest grocery store, but about the size of a Whole Foods. And pretty much the same type of food as a whole foods as well. A+ staff cleanliness and service. Very large parking lot with easy access.

As a former employee I would like to say what needs to be said. Where to begin, the cleanliness of the deli is laughable, sanitary buckets are rarely changed, mopping is only done in the back once a week (if that), and the constant mixing of food is genuinely concerning. I will say that as a staff we did what we could, but management made it impossible to do anything as a team. I would like to say that the management of the deli is not corrupt but it most certainly is. The quality of food and service is on a serious decline. Stepping aside from just the deli, the prices in the store are much higher than anywhere else. If you’re trying to be cost efficient this store is a definite skip!

Living in Helena all my life and doing our best to support local businesses, I am sad to say this store has been on the decline for quite some time now. Questionable cleanliness, questionable employees. Employees who are actually competent get chased out by poor management. Items sold in the store are super expensive. Baked goods were great a few months ago. Not so much now. Better off going to Winco or Super One, or frankly anywhere else.

Pamela In The food bar is amazing!!! She is so kind and that makes me want to come here more! Not only do I love all your yummy gluten Free food! It’s safe and I have no worries with me getting sick due to me having celiac disease. But Pamela is compassionate and kind. You can tell she truly enjoys her job plus making peoples day! What a great employee you have!

Good produce but VERY expensive. 2 small jalapenos are $1.33 and usually they are about 5 cents each other places you go. Oat milk was 5.50, and it's 3.48 at WinCo for the same thing. $2 for a single red onion. It adds up quick, I spent $120 for a week of food, and the next week I got the same amount of stuff (approximately) and spent $50 at WinCo. I understand it's all organic but it still seemed really steep!

My favorite place to shop, hands-down. Fabulous seasonal produce (all organic), eggs from local small farmers, and a surprisingly good variety of products for a shop of this size with new goodies in all the time. You'll never be bored. Try the juice bar!

This is a great place. There's a very wide variety of healthy foods, from veggies to granola. It's a clean, friendly environment and the staff are always very helpful if you have any questions. The deli is pretty great, always a lot to choose from. You can make a sandwich sort of like subway, and there's a good selection of baked goods

I LOVE their salad bar/deli. It's a great place all around.. Had a truly disheartening experience with an associate named Julie awhile back. We shared the same name(Julie)and mentioning this offhandedly while asking for direction to the stores Primrose oil, this person looked at me like I had literally offended her by having the same name..Or mentioning it? I couldn't tell you but she was visibly agitated!Then there was the product I was wanting. She begrudgingly marched me to supplement isle.. I told her that I was looking for the small bottle of topical oil,, not ingesting it.. She said to me "Ive never even seen that before" with the blatant inflection that I was making this up just to anger her!I attempted to tell her that I've purchased and repurchased this item here for years, but that the small fridge it was kept in was no longer there and had it been moved!?? But I was unable to get past "purchased and repurchased here" when I was interrupted with ..." Then you should know where it is?".I left the store immediately and have not been back.Nor have I been for months. Sadly.But oh how I've missed the salad bar and the OTHER friendly faced employees that know me.I should have told someone when it happened but I am so fully non confrontational ....Avoid an employee named Julie and you'll wish you had discovered this gem before...LOL

The staff are so friendly and super helpful. The bulk selection allows me to try just a little of a tea (VERY large selection of teas and coffee) or just the right amount of an exotic spice for a recipe for super prices. The bulk grains, nuts, herbs, etc... are awesome! The deli selection of salad bar items and hot bar, and soup varieties keep me coming back. I could go on and on about their supplements, cute hats, yummy olive tapenade, rare and fun fruits and veggies. Real Food is my favorite place to shop and dine! Highly recommend.

Mandatory masks in 2022? I would rather shop at Wall mart than watch this performance- the facade of safety, while suffocating speech, freedom and sovereignty. Wherever this is coming from, wonderful employees, just say no. There are a thousand places to spend your time, choking on your own carbon dioxide is the least of them. Be free like the great state you abide in. In the mean time- I will not be participating in this charade, nor will I be spending my allotment of Bideninflated grocery dollars here.

Eating here for lunch is always great. They have a great selection of food you can place on your tray or go-box. The staff are friendly and can make you a sandwich that can be very delicious. I love going here as the food is usually healthy and helps you not make poor choices. The prices are also responsible.

Good selection, very good produce section, but overall prices seem a little high. Hot bar is always good. Great selection of chocolate, dried fruits, other dry goods in bins. I like this place, but I try not to get too much there cause it seems to add up a little quicker than some other places.

YUM! The Deli is wonderful! One of my favorite places to eat! I appreciate that the music is never blaring (like most places), they have a nice sit down area, bulk foods, great kombucha on tap, friendly checkers, and always have chocolate on sale!

They have one of the best lunches in town. I eat lunch here as much as I can. There's no doubt they have some of the best organic fruits and vegetables in town. Their customer service is A1. I don't go for the essential oils, the vitamins, or the supplements but if you do they have a great selection. I've never bought their meats but I hear great things about those as well. If you live in Helena or are just visiting and you don't know about the real food store you should stop in and take a tour.

I’m an advocate for healthy living and a practicing holistic dentist in MN. I support the right/freedom to choose and I am choosing NOT TO RETURN to RealFood Market due to the masking policies which propagate the fear based propaganda machine. Healthy living begins with unplugging from fear and removing the muzzle. I will be take my business to other organic food markets while enjoying my time in Helena!

THE place for good food and good service! Discaimer, I know the owners. During my last trip to the store, employees didn't know this. From checkers to stockers, everyone has a smile and happy to help you find anything. Food quality and selection, off the chart. Looking for the perfect - fresh spice, they have it. Awesome coffee, grinding station; they have it. Feeling down, take a walk through the store and be refreshed by smiles. A must visit and staple for your pantry needs.

Excellent selection of organic and locally produced groceries. Their deli (hot/cold) bar is fantastic. They update their hot item everyday and their salad bar is one of the largest I've seen. I highly recommend stopping here for lunch!

Over priced but Decent grocery selection. Have had a number of rotten vegetables purchased and don’t realize they are rotten until I cut into them (onions mostly).I don’t understand why they don’t sell any beer or wine. I would recommend they change this.It is appalling how much Saran Wrap is used on the to-go sandwiches...and how soggy the vegetable sandwiches are, why? Is it the red peppers? Very confusing and gross.Had a fresh vegetable Green juice once and I am pretty sure they added a sweetener. It tasted artificial. Do not recommend.Don’t like giving a bad review bc I appreciate the niche they are trying to fill in Helena but they need to do some work to bring the quality up.

I use to enjoy coming to this store, but with the Covid issues; I have a legitimate medical reasoning for not wearing a mask and the manager was extremely rude about it and when I ask for the owner’s number they just game me the store number. I’ll be sure to pass on to friends and family to go to the Natural Grocer from here on out. If your going to be an arrogant and rude business, then I don’t need to give you my money, a from a future potential customer. I understand protocol but working in 2 hospitals and still no virus and medical reason for not wearing a mask your fears are not a fact for attempting to force people to wear a mask. I’m sure you do just fine with out my business but Helena is still a small town.

Best bulk selection in Montana?The amount of bulk goods these guys have is amazing! Baking goods, snack foods, teas, herbs and spices, it's all there. Stuff I had never been able to find anywhere but the internet and it all looked pretty fresh and was reasonably priced. Their produce was really lovely too - I didn't buy a ton as I was just passing through town but what I did buy was very good. Hope Helena residents know what a good they've got here!

There's a lot of great organic and local food options here. And a variety of natural goods that you won't find anywhere else in town. A hot food bar, kombucha on tap, bulk goods, and tons more can be found here. It really is one-stop shopping!

They have great vegetable chili soup in the deli along with two other soups. The vegetable chili is my favorite. I also like that you can refill big jugs of water for under $1 a gallon. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking to keep and stay on a healthy diet.
