If I could gather the 2 amazing beings that were there and take them home I would. They were so cute and so helpful. The bookstore was immaculately clean and extremely organized. Their selection of books was awesome, the selection of stickers are hilarious, and if they would have had a big comfy chair, I would have parked myself there and just hung out all day. I highly recommend this bookstore!

The Montana Book Company ("The MTBC") is a remarkable example of how Independent Booksellers help build local community. Social media saturates too much of our world now, putting screens up between everyone. Here you can drop the screens, rest your eyes on paper, and indulge yourself with quality writing. Love this store! A wide selection of books for all ages and interests, plus lots of other fun stuff like stickers. I love all of the inclusive signage, merch, and general vibe of acceptance from the staff. I look forward to many more trips to the MT Book Co ❤️

My favorite bookstore EVER! I love the owners and staff so much. We are always welcomed with a smile and book suggestions. I love their vinyl collection as well, and their jewelry at the front is funky and unique. I’m always walking out with something. I can’t say enough nice things about this wonderful gem of a bookstore. Just the perfect way to spend my day, and the have I mentioned the staff? Just amazing, lovely humans all around who are so supportive and wonderful.

Hands down the best book store I’ve been to in awhile! Was so unexpected to find this store here in Helena with the inventory it has. The employees are the absolute sweetest. I was very happy that we could support this bookstore while passing through town. Everyone in my family found books they really enjoy. They also have so many good pens, calligraphy sets, erasers, white out tape and so much more as well as great gifts for people of all ages! I HIGHLY recommend a stop in at Montana book co when in town!

I came here on 11/25/2023 for the first time.I was helped by the nicest person, I unfortunately did not catch her name. She was helpful, knowledgeable and just overall amazing!I joked that she was my new best friend (so if she sees this, you are amazing!!!!)I will definitely be going back!!!

Fabulous bookstore and a shining light in the community. Was thrilled to chat with Charlie, the owner. I moved from Helena about 10 years ago and was delighted to revisit this Helena landmark that has undergone a makeover that is delightful and inclusive. Be sure to check out the magnificent artwork on the outside of the building above the door. It will give you a clue as to the beautiful flavor this business imparts to the Helena community.

So much more than just a bookstore! MT Book Co is a community treasure. The people there are awesome, and the vibe is always friendly and welcoming. I never go downtown without stopping in, even if I am not book shopping, though I often leave with one anyway. They always seem to have something that captures my interest. If you haven't already, do yourself a favor and stop in to "The Loudest Bookstore Ever!"

We had a wonderful experience at the store. The staff was very warm, friendly and so knowledgeable. They were great in recommending a number of books for my 9 year old daughter, who is an avid reader. We left with a number of books and a list of even more we're excited to read! If we lived closer, we would be here regularly.

I needed a book, drove up and realized that this business is where they mind corrupt your children’s and possible steal them . They must get funded by the deep state. A women is not a man and a man can not have a baby know matter what you say or parade your store with.This is a horrible company, the state should shut this place down.revised: There is plenty of books that explain my exact review above but obviously you have not read any of them and don’t carrying anything of truth.

I went there for literature that was specious in character yet couldn’t find any. However, I did walk out of there with two marvelous gridded paper notebooks crafted from amazing Japanese paper.Seriously, have you ever written on velum? That’s what it feels like - smooth. If I was groomed, I was groomed to appreciate a well crafted page that takes graphite like you take the sacrament. The power of amazing paper compelled me to return and purchase more of this elixir.

This is the best bookstore in the state! The owners are lovely, inclusive people and the selection of contemporary and classic literature is on point. I live about 3 hours from Helena, but make it a point to stop in Montana Book Co. every time I am in the Capitol. I love this place!

By far best bookstore in Montana! Owners are friendly and the atmosphere is so open and welcoming. Great selection of childrens books and love adult book selection. Since the remodel look in the store has elevated from a great bookstore to a spectacular experiance. If you visit helena definitely stop by grab a book or 5 :)

MT Book Co is such a special treat in Helena! Stopping by this store and checking out the selection is always on my 'must list' when visiting Montana. I really appreciate the selection of books, especially the children's books! My nieces and I have bonded over reading, and it's always a treat to bring them in a grab some books.What's even better is if you are looking for a specific title, they will order it for you and give you a call when it arrives! I also appreciate that this store gives back to the community and really has strong ties with Downtown Helena and its readers. Something else that I enjoy is they are very active on social media, so it's easy to see what new releases are out each Tuesday and what is happening at the store.The other best part is that not only are the owners/employees incredibly kind, but the folks who visit are often very kind as well! It's almost as if you won't find a mean person in this store.

My favorite local book store. I also love their curated selection of albums as I love to collect records. I found Gillian Welch on vinyl here (have never found her anywhere else) as well as a couple records for my husband. One time I even came in and they had a bunch of used records where I was able to select FIVE for just a dollar! When we have guests from out of town we also love to bring them here.

Everyone seemed super friendly and very welcoming. Not only did they have many interesting books but also stickers and some art supplies. I ended up getting a sticker to put on my laptop and 2 rainbow colored pencils (which by the way if you turn them while writing you get a really clean transition between colors)

Large inventory of diverse books, best children's section in Montana, knowledgeable and friendly staff. The store is so very organized and clean. The staff are all readers and always have great suggestions for books. I love the paper and pen section too
