It's mostly clothes I think. But also a little bit of everything. I don't know if haggling is expected but some of the items seem a little steep. I had just suggested getting this kind of thing for a lady we know in her 90s, and there it was! Didn't get it though. Her assisted living neighbors might not appreciate it.

Sunday, Apr 28th, 2024 @ 4:15pm. One of the store employees keeps having her dogs with no leash in the store. The store employee, lady with purple hair, had german shepherd today. The dog was friendly. When was told to use leash, the lady blamed the dog and pulled the collar roughly, dragged the dog. Saw her 5 minutes later with leash, dragging the dog again while the poor dog crying. It's disturbing to see how she treats her dog. The dog didn't do anything wrong. This is the 3rd time the employee had dog with no leash in the store. On the 1st time, she had a small dog that kept coming to us and attacked my dog twice. She said her small dog doesn't like big dogs. Reported to the cashier that reported to the manager, but saw her again the 2nd time at different day with the small dog still with no leash in the store.

After seeing all the articles about how Goodwill is overcharging I went here to find a microwave. $45?! At a thrift store?! Went down the street to Goodwill and acquired a NICE microwave for $9.99. Shame on you Good Sam!

I used to really enjoy shopping here but over the years it’s gotten way too expensive. such a bummer since they are a large store with big selection. I wish they’d return to the old days where you could thrift for cheaper than buying new. Especially since everything is donated to them for free from the community, it unfortunately seems as though they’ve lost sight of that.

Lady in charge of housing assistance is on meth. She takes advantage of people who have recently been out of jail or are in extremely desperate need of housing and offers them to live at her house where she proceeds to exploit them, try to enter their space while they are sleeping and tries to make up random numbers about money they owe her.

My family and I have been donating furniture, clothing, and everything in between to this location for 22 years. Now after illness, loss of loved ones due to the pandemic and divorce has struck our lives, they won’t help US in return. They won’t return our calls. I’m a disabled single mom. We qualify for assistance. I’ve been applying for assistance for a mattress for my son but they won’t acknowledge us. Had I known how they treat their local donors in our own time of need, I never would have donated thousands of dollars worth of items to Good Samaritan in the first place.P.S. Does anyone know of an honest place in town where I can apply for assistance to get a mattress?

Only visited twice, both times we had a problem with pricing. First time it took over 15mins to get a price on a toy flute, which we never got. Second time we had a bookbag in hand that was clearly priced. It was taken back from us saying it was a employees. We dug out out of the rack in the first place. Very suspicious. Kinda sad to run a business that way. I won't be back.

Some good finds, huge store.BUT the first time I came in I found a lovely window chime that had five sections in a line but had clearly broken (missing loop to attach the 3 with the 2) but they were priced separately and when I asked about it they said that they were clearly two different items and that's the price if I wanted them both (about $14 all together) and the cashier even kept one to get for their daughter and put it behind the countwr before I even fully made up my mind if it was worth that price or had just wanted half of the item! Today I arrived at 6pm along with several others, triple checked the posted and online hours (close at 7pm) and the doors wouldn't open. I watched a few people knock and even peer in the windows, so I clearly wasn't the only one mistaken..not really sure what's going on but definitely a huge dissapointment.

This thrift store is the most over priced "thrift store" I've ever been in. They do realize that every single item they're selling came from the community as a donation right? Regulardless of community assistance, they only work with you if all other efforts of getting the help you need were exhausted. So basically a last resort & you will jump through hoops to recieve it. Thrift store is supposed to be a place where the community can shop for items that are on a budget or are low income. Idk how anybody would shop here with the greedy pricing of items.

Awesome!!! I went to find a nice frame....which I did cost me less than even a cheap Walmart one....and got a Patagonis R fleece vest for $2, like new cotton dress, pair of cozy boots that I was needing, a Packers Montana cheesehead sweatshirt and more!!!

Walked in today and was told that I needed to wear a mask due to there being “an outbreak” among the employees. There is no longer a mask mandate in Montana and I questioned why they were even open if they were so concerned about it. I was told “I called the governors office and you should too.” Talked to another employee who has always been really great and was told the 7 employees out were very sick.A few of the employees are pretty polite every time I go in but lately they have been getting more and more belligerent and rude. I have also heard one woman who I believe is the supervisor berate an employee who seemed to have made a small mistake.In the last 2 years their prices have been going higher and higher and many items are close and often over what they would be new. Many broken or unusable items litter the shelf at premium prices and there is no room for bargaining.I know they work with the needy in some capacity. I have directed some people in need to them and often the response has not been great after they have reached out.Many items are unmarked and when taken to the register I haven’t been able to buy them due to them needing special pricing and was told that’s the rules. I hate to see a once great store go this direction and hope they will turn around but, with other fantastic options in town I don’t think I’ll be going back here..

Loved my visit here. This did not plan to leave with over $100 having been spent but they have so much good stuff. I never find clothes I like but here I found an entire new wardrobe basically, plus jewelry and a new bag. This NEVER happens for me anywhere! Lots of gorgeous vintage books, workout equipment and pet supplies. Staff ladies were nice too.

I had been to this store a few times with no issue, but a couple months ago, we walked in and they yelled at us for not having a mask on and Montana didn’t have a mask mandate in effect. I was pretty off put by the tone so we decided to take our business elsewhere. I’m not one to leave reviews, especially one star but today, April 25, we decided to give it another shot…that was a mistake. Not only are the prices OUTRAGEOUS for a thrift shop, there was a wallet I was buying for my daughter that was in a $1 bin and when we got to check out the women refused to sell it to us. She said wallets are not $1 and although there was no price tag on it, would not sell it to us for the price of a wallet, which is $3. Just super disappointed. We will not be returning to this store.

DO NOT SHOP HERE!!!! This place is so over priced. They forget the definition and purpose of the entire Thrift Store concept. Truly. Their prices are so completely unaffordable I'm not sure why anyone bothers to shop there anymore. Their staff are unfriendly & they base selling the donations on what eBay has sold them for or has them listed as. WAKE UP. lower your prices and quit being so greedy. These are all donations. And you are pricing them outrageously unaffordable.

Multiple terrible experiences with rude staff. There is a male who works the front counter who really loves to argue about their own marked prices. I have also heard workers tell guests they cant help them, do not work there, or answer questions with zero to little tact. I even know an older couple who carried furniture out themselves because they waited for over 30 minutes for help. Unacceptable. How can you “do so much for the community” as i keep hearing, but allow workers to treat guests who fund your organization with such disrespect.Prices are not thrift store prices, they are boutique prices. I have found the exact same items they have on their shelves, especially electronics, at other store for less. It is also impossible to know if they really test their items, most probably get power, but they definitely are not testing for functionality on everything labeled as “tested.”If they could find volunteers and workers with much better attitudes, be honest about their “testing” of products, and at least be comparable to other thrift store prices across Montana (i have been to MANY of them), i would be more inclined to give them my money. Otherwise there are many other ways to help the community.

Very unprofessional went in for rental help almost a month ago. Still not paid called in was told not their fault if my family loses our home and that we should’ve made our appointment sooner. Very poor customer service don’t trust them to help you because if it’s up to them you’ll lose your house if you do. Forever never going to trust them with anything I already didn’t shop there after I got product that shouldn’t have been on the floor.

Prices are pretty high but the employees are fantastic. Often I'll find dollar store items marked at $3 or items with original tags still on it for less than the Good Samaritan price.

I went in first time and waited at counter ten minutes while they very unprofessionally fooled around. I was then accosted for being late. When I showed up for second appointment I had not even been put on the schedule and was turned away. When I was evicted police department reached out to Aura and she told officer she’d finally call me. Never did. Unimaginably unprofessional and should by no means be in charge of money to prevent evictions or manage housing.

I like this place, BUT. The donations dock is closed more often than not. If you get there later than 0930, you likely will not be allowed to leave donations. We have tried to donate on four separate days and they were open on only one of those days. And, yes, these were days they were supposed to be open (Tues, Thurs. and Sat).

Very disappointed with this place, they charged us $90 dollars for less than half a trash bag of clothes that should have been around $30. My husband checked out or else I would have questioned the majority of it. They classified a bunch of the clothes as “vintage clothing” and charged $15-25 for multiple articles of clothing. I looked back through our purchase and didn’t think that there was anything that would count as “vintage,” I mean, it’s a thrift store, if there is a vintage section fine, but I grabbed everything off the normal racks and expected to pay normal prices on them.

Do not buy anything electronic! They say they test it but they don't apparently. Maybe I got unlucky and someone didn't feel like it that day. I bought a vacuum cleaner yesterday that appeared in great shape. It was completely useless. Absolutely no suction, sounded horrible and smelled of burning rubber when used. I don't have extra income so spending money on garbage doesn't excite me. Of course they won't take it back or exchange it. My fault for trusting a used item but when it clearly states it works, I expect it to work! Won't be returning

I love good Sam s! They have lots of good stuff and a great staff. They do a lot good in our community! They have had to change with the times, but who hasn't? They do now charge a pickup charge, because people where calling for pickups and when they arrived. People had piles of garbage, not donations. The charge is also tax deductible, so I just pay them and figure I'm covering the truck's fuel, so they can use the money they have to help someone

Pretty good prices, the clothing area is always a bit overflowing though. I would definitely recommend $5 bag days or some sort of advertised sale on clothing as you walk in so they could move clothing out the door faster! Otherwise I'd give it 5 stars, it's pretty overwhelming!

Always a great deal on things you need...BUT the cashier ( short dark haired woman with glasses) needs to learn some proper manners-as my wife was looking through some clothing and the cashier made the comment: "you don't look like your in need"As it happens we were in need; having to come to Montana from Oregon because her father went into emergency surgery at the Helena hospital-we drove straight thru having not been able to pack anything more than just a couple of clothes.I find it disgraceful that an employee of this type has the right to make any judgment call on anyone that shops here.
