Do not let the outside appearance of this diner scare you away! It’s beautifully outfitted in modern rustic inside with artwork on the walls. It was very clean and the staff were friendly. Typical local cafe food but they also have cold bottled beer.

Extremely surprised by the great food quality in this little cafe, off the beaten path. A golden find! The 'homemade' items are truly homemade and delicious. The young lady (high school senior, who loves basketball) provided terrific service. She was personable, friendly and extremely attentive. Suggest they work on the exterior appearance - a little paint would sure help. Inside needs to be brightened up and welcoming. First appearance is dark, dingy. - decor is very dated. Some brighter paint on the walls and better lighting during the day that can be dimmed for evening, dinner service. They were closing at 2pm when I was there, due to staff shortage, so check first. I bet some outdoor seating, a little area with a few tables and umbrellas would also be a plus and present it as more inviting. Might attract more travelers to give stop in. I'll stop back!

My wife and i stopped here for breakfast this morning on our way from Great Falls to Billings. This place is fantastic!Perfectly cooked sausage patty with a mound of hash browns, eggs and toast. My wife had 2 sweet pancakes and 4 strips of bacon. All for less than $23.00.This place is a must stop place on the way to Billings for Breakfast or lunch. It's just past the rest area headed into town.

I've read an article forever ago about Loco Creek Grill, restaurant has the best hamburger in Montana. At the time I was a delivery drive and always wanted to try them out. Long story short, stop being a delivery driver to working behind a desk. Never got the chance to go back to Harlowton. But this passed weekend I was camping @ Deadman Basin and luckily was close enough to finally try Loco Creek. Let me tell you it was worth the wait. I did not have a hamburger. So, I can't say if it was the best. But we had half a steak sandwich and half a Philly cheese sandwich ( 2 separate orders, shared. ). BOTH WERE DELICIOUS!! The steak wasn't seasoned much and it didn't need to. Cooked perfectly and was delicious. Philly, was juice and it came with au jus. Which was a 1st. But great! If you're in the neighborhood stop by Loco Creek Grill. Try a hamburger and them what you think.

Funky rough exterior, country local cute interior. The beer batter french fries are incredible. The FU Burger is one of my all time favorites. Fantastic Ultimate Burger is a 1/2 lb. Bacon and Mushroom fully loaded burger. Unlimited soft drinks. The wait staff was great. If you missed lunch there, it is your loss. We will be back, if in the area.

This is a hidden gem in the middle of nowhere! The buffalo chicken sticks are unique and delicious. The burgers are juicy and have lots of fresh toppings. Great prices and cozy atmosphere. We will be back again on our next trip through

I've eaten here for a long time as family and business has brought me to Harlowton. It used to be a plain mom and pop sort of place, but in recent times it's been remodeled. The atmosphere is pleasant. The waitress we had on the last visit was pleasant, and attentive. I wish I could remember her name, so I could give her props. I got a blt that was tasty, but my friends both got ribeye steaks. Totally should have done that! They looked awesome, and they both were raving about them! So if you are coming through town and are hungry, hit them up, and buy the steak!!

They seem to be serious about cleaning. Much nicer and cleaner inside than you might imagine from the outside.This is the kind of hometown cafe where you can order a simple meal without a menu and get exactly what you expect. Good portion size, fair price and attentive service.I did not experience any poor service as some others had mentioned.I will be back.

Omg, their chips are spectacular. The fries are great too of if you want something to eat with ketchup. Burgers are good, the raspberry salad with chicken was fantastic.Service was slow (it was somewhat busy) and our waitress was taciturn, but for the middle of Montana this place was a real find. We'd definitely eat here again.

The dining experience at this restaurant for my wife and I was Super Terrible! We walked in and the waitress ignored us for about ten minutes and there were only two tables sat with a total of 5 people, other than ourselves, on the restaurant. The cook came out of the back area, saw us and told us we cold seat ourselves anywhere. We picked a table and waited patiently for the server/waitress to help us. After about seven minutes a local came in and was seated and served a beer and the waitress sat and talked to him. After approximately ten more minutes the waitress brought us a menu and asked us if we would like something to drink. We ordered our drinks and she left. About fifteen minutes later we received our drinks and she asked for our order. We asked a few questions and she was unable to answer them. So we ordered desert, onion rings and our drinks. My drink came in a dirty, mineral coated MASON jar. When our food came, onion rings and two pieces of pie. One apple and one chocolate cream. The Apple Pie was almost frozen cold so I asked the waitress if she could warm it up? She said ok! She brought the pie back to us semi thawed but still very cold. I asked for another drink but in a clean or “to go” cup. She went and got the drink and stopped by the register to charge me for another drink, which the menu clearly said had free refills. She gave us the Bill and left. I went to pay after we ate the only edible item, the onion rings, and we couldn’t get the waitress to close out our ticket. So the cook came back out and closed out our ticket and I gave her a five dollar tip and the waitress a fifty cent tip.We left one of the worst dining experiences we’ve ever been served.

Good food. Large portions (you won't leave here hungry). Fair prices. We had the chicken fried steak and the breakfast burrito, both were delicious. We also had a wonderful waitress. We will definitely stop again.
