It’s been nearly a year since I put in our wheelchair order. I directly ordered with the Ruff Rollin team to talk about measurements and customization. At first, they were communicating with me over phone. I received a few emails from them as well. However, after I received a note that my chair would be shipping in 2-3 days last fall, I never received the order. Finding the strange, I contacted the team about a month later. They apologized never shipping my order, saying that they were overwhelmingly busy, and things got lost in the shuffle - they told me that it would be shipping out that day, and I would receive tracking information within 2 to 3 days. Flash forward to the next month, now in the winter of 2023 and I still have not received the order. Finding this, especially strange after talking directly to the company owner, I called back again to check in. They told me the same that my order will be shipping that day, and I could receive tracking in 2 to 3 days after the carrier picked up. I still haven’t received this order, which is why I am now leaving this review. I understand that these are handmade and special order, I don’t understand why I have been misled to believe that there is an order coming. I would prefer if they would cancel the order or give me an honest timeline of when to expect it

Working with Lynzzie and the Ruff Rollin team was so easy and helpful! The rear wheel cart they custom made for our 15 year old pug has made daily walks continue to be possible for him, even as his back legs have failed. He seems just like himself when he is walking/wheeling down the sidewalk, attracting lots of happy attention from passers-by. The measurements were easy to take and the Ruff Rollin team was so patient with all of our questions!

Awful custom service, terrible experience, and never did get a functional fitting wheelchair for my dog. Dean did not follow through on anything like he said he would. At best it was incompetence, at worst it was flat out lies. Probably some combination of both.Do not order from this company, especially if you have a large dog. Tons of stress, waste of money, and zero help for my dog.Edits to response to RRs comments:There is nothing malicious about my review. I sent in measurements of 26.5 and 28 inches for height; they sent me a chair that maxed out at 26 inches. I sent length measurements of 23 and 25 inches; the chair they sent maxed out at 16 inches. It took over a month to receive anything from them, despite Dean twice personally assuring me when it would be sent and promising to overnight it. He did not overnight it.The second wheelchair was completely unsatisfactory - because they told me to use the saddle from the first wheelchair but then they used different sized clips, so it could not attach at all. There was no way too use it, so of course it was not satisfactory.They did not make every effort to communicate with me. Instead, they completely ignored my last email to them.

I wanted to like this company so badly. I read all these other reviews before ordering and was confident that I was choosing the right company. I called before ordering to ask about their turn around time and was told it was 7 days. I even had a employee call me back a couple days after i inquired to follow up. This to me made it seem like all these other reviews must be right and that this company was going to take care of me and my dog. At this point my dog can’t run and that was my goal in ordering this. He’s a larger dog so our chair was around $700 (shipping included). So I ended up ordering. After a week passed I called for an update on the chair and each call was being told it’d be shipped a certain day and the days came and went. They explained when it shipped a shipping email with tracking would be sent. When it eventually shipped I never got an email so I had no idea that it even went out. When it arrived it wasn’t functional. After a lot of back and forth I was able to send it back and they sent another. I finally got a functional chair over a month after ordering. Not even sure if it’s the right size. It didn’t have the same amount of adjustment holes etc. as the first chair but honestly I’m exhausted with this company at this point. Their customer service was probably the worst I’ve ever experienced. When you call you speak to what seems like a answering service. You’re never able to speak to anyone directly. They often returned my call the next day or a few days later. From what I’ve been told the company has new owners. So maybe that’s where the change has happened. I hope they’re able to work it out and continue to help dogs that need this product. I’m just considering myself out the $700 and learned my lesson I guess. I wish we would have had the same experience as everyone else in this review section.

I contacted Ruff Rollin' Wheelchairs when my Lilo was having difficulty getting around. She had her leg removed when she was a puppy and as a adult dog, she was needing some assistance. The people at Ruff Rollin' were not only professional, but very kind to both myself and my Lilo. We drove to the business and they spent time with us to get her used to her new chair. When Lilo passed away, they gladly accepted her wheelchair as a donation towards another dog that needed it. Thank you so much. I highly recommend this company for anyone looking for help for their family companion.

Our dog Li'l Ernst injured his back some years ago and became completely paralyzed overnight from mid-back down. The cost and danger (to him) of back surgery ruled that out, leaving anti-inflammatory shots as his veterinarians only recourse (at the time). We researched doggie wheelchairs in hopes that we could give him as active and enjoyable life as possible.When we came across Ruff Rollin, I was impressed with their presentation and sincere positive attitude about helping injured dogs. I was very impressed with their angled wheel design, as I had been looking at human powered wheelchairs used in racing and off-road use. Contacting them confirmed that positive feeling, so we ordered a chair for Li'l Ernst. It's one of the best purchases we've made! A quality chair arrived on time, and with plenty of customer support, assembling and fitting was strait forward and went smoothly.After adjustments and break-in time the little guy took to that chair as if he were born with it. We were back on our favorite woodland trails. Happy dog, happy dog parent!With Chiropractic care, the Ruff Rollin chair became the perfect "vehicle" for recovery (yes, recovery!) from that paralysis. We kept the chair in the event he would need it in old age, but though he lived several more enjoyable years after recovery, he fell victim to cancer. We love the fact that Li'l Ernst was able to have such an improved quality of life with the chair, we decided donate the chair back to Ruff Rollin in hopes that some other unfortunate dog (and parent) may benefit the way he did.Thanks, Ruff Rollin for paying for "return" shipping, and enabling others to benefit from previously owned doggie wheelchairs.John and Becky

Finally got our wheelchair after much hassle and delay. This company has a complete lack of customer service. In my experience, phone calls and emails go unreturned. Suggest shopping elsewhere. The base of the wheelchair is solid, but I am replacing accessories with more functional design to improve fit for my dog despite having invested in a custom wheelchair.In response to their response….I received ONE call immediately after this post with a voice message left stating they are understaffed and a small business. This message came from the gentleman who made promises that he didn’t deliver during the production process. Basically, I gather, wanting me to remove this post, but still no offer to assist with fit of chair or follow up about my poor disabled dog.

I’d like to say I think it’s heartwarming that people do this for our injured fur children. I’ve contacted Ruff Rollin to build a mobile chair for our 85lb tri pawd named Phoenix. He was maimed by mankind as a puppy and never knew a world with 4 legs. We will take a slow approach with him in his chair as we have 10 total rescues at this point and he does like to lounge around as the big teddy bear he is. The cart is a solid construction and fully capable of holding him. My only regret was not getting him one earlier in life although we’re getting along just fine with our slow introduction. I am extremely late to post this but it needs to be said! Ruff rolling is A1! The service amazing. The product amazing and sturdy. I live in Colorado so an off road wheel chair is necessary and these things are built tough! We had a few adjustments we needed to make and Dean was awesome at working with us being out of state. I haven’t seen my dog run in about 9 or so years and with her ruff rolling wheel chair she was keeping up with me on a skateboard! Dean and ruff rolling have really changed our girl’s life. We’ve noticed more energy now that she’s able to move more! Thank you dean and ruff rollin!

We are super happy with Ollie's new wheels and increased mobility. The WC itself is a very well made product. It took minutes for Ollie to acclimate to the chair. And less than a day to get in the water. Lynnzie and crew are super helpful and responded quickly to my questions. It took a few tries to get the fit just right, but Lynnzie is an expert and had us dialed in in minutes. We are very pleased and would highly recommend this company.

We've ordered several wheelchairs from different companies over the years as a rescue, and y'all have been our favorite and so very nice when we have had to contact you. When we needed a nut for a wheel that had gotten loose, you immediately put one in the mail. We've now ordered 3 wheelchairs from you and will be ordering our first full support wheelchair very soon.I wanted to share with you the story of Jessie. (For even more see her # on Facebook, #JessiesStory)Jessie came to rescue September 25th 2016 with very severe tissue wounds from dragging herself in the home she was in prior to rescue. Unfortunately, the vet's believed Jessie had been kicked as a puppy breaking and dislocating her pelvis. Jessie was left to heal that way without medical care and because of the way she healed she was left to always drag the same side of her bottom.Weeks of care healed the sores, although there was nothing we could do about the paralysis, and in November she was well enough to order a cart.Jessie was 1.5 years old when her chair was ordered. She's a Boston Terrier, and as typical of the breed full of energy and personality. She wanted to run and play and chase. The moment her wheelchair arrived in November she took off. She's fast and balls to the wall racing in her chair. She can keep up with just about any of them. She's played in the big fields at the rescue, marched in Washington DC, camped in North Carolina, and ran along the beach in Jeykll Island in her Ruff Rollin chair.We loved her chair so much we ordered her sister Maydell (paralyzed from being struck by a car leading to her surrender to rescue) one to replace the other she had.

Ruff Rollin' is the best. Shortly after receiving the well-crafted wheel chair they made specifically for my shih tzu Samantha, my dog passed away. She had had only a few days of trying it out at home, and never even got to use it outside. I called Ruff Rollin' and explained the situation. They advised me to return the wheel chair and said that if they could use it for another dog, they would refund the money. Wouldn't you know, within a few weeks I got a check in the mail!Ruff Rollin' makes a great product, they really care about your pet, and they care about you, the customer, as well. It's just about 4 years to the day that I lost my Samantha and when I think back to that awful time, one of the bright moments was Ruff Rollin'. I highly recommend them!

Ollie, our 2 year old corgi, has had Ruff Rollin' wheels now for about 6 weeks. We are hoping that after 8 weeks of giving his hip some rest (after a pulled ligament) he will be able to be strong for many years without the wheels. He adapted to the wheels quickly and well. He goes on long hikes and even swims with his wheels! The Ruff Rollin' folks were very easy to work with and they took great care to make sure that Ollie had the perfect fit with his back feet touching just 10% as per doctor's orders. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who is needing wheels for their pet.

Update: They sent a new wheelchair that fits so much better, we sent photos as asked over a week ago to see if we have it right. But didn't hear back. Our dog is finally getting the hang of using it.No support after purchase, have sent multiple requests to help with fitting and guidance. Basically we wasted $600 and our dog still isn't mobile.No tracking on shipment or notification on shipping, so you are left to wonder when your product will arrive. We waited 6 weeks to get the chair and had to call several times to ask about it.We based going with this company on the other earlier reviews. Something has changed and not for the better.

I adopted a dog that was paralyzed but came with wheels from Ruff Rollin'. Any time I had any questions, needed adjustments made or a part replaced, they made it very easy.Prompt attention, super nice people. There are other wheelchair makers for dogs out there, but this set up is by far the best in my opinion. Very lightweight and easy to get them in and out of.I adopted another paralyzed dog and she will be getting her wheels from Ruff Rollin without a doubt. You cannot go wrong with this company.

Overnight our dog, Ernst, lost the use of his back legs - unknown cause. Our vet recommended several websites for a wheelchair - one being Ruff Rollin. We received personalized attention over the phone and the wheel chair arrived very quickly. Within five minutes time, Ernst could maneuver the chair and was ready to join us for our daily trail walks, play and just hanging out. We added chiropractic care, and within a year he regained use of his legs and he can wag his tail now!! The wheelchair was an invaluable part of his ongoing recovery. He is one happy guy! Thanks! If I could have taken a picture of the sparkle in my dog (GSDX) Mindy's eyes when she realized that those wheels where giving her the freedom to move, run and play ball again, it would have said it all! She had become depressed because of her Degenerative Myelopathy and was not able to chase squirrels or play ball anymore and Ruff Rollin' changed all that for her. She was sick for 1.5years with DM and she used her wheels for the last 9 months of her life and you could have sworn they were as good as her legs. It made the last months of her life humane, comfortable and fun. It was totally worth the investment. She outlived the usual prognosis of 6months and I am sure that her happiness with the wheels as well as her natural treatment contributed greatly to this. We miss her greatly but we are comforted that we did the best we could with her until the very end. I highly recommend Ruff Rollin' - they took the time to answer all my questions and Sierra was very patient and caring.
