This park is lovely! The people are friendly, the grounds, restrooms and laundry are clean and well maintained. The location is great for accessing the North entrance to Yellowstone. This is a plus after a great day spotting animals and seeing the wonderful geothermal sites.Stop by and spend some time here. You will be glad you did.

We stayed in this campground for two nights while visiting Yellowstone NP and we absolutely loved that place! The owners are very nice and helpful, showers and toilets are spotless clean, and the campground has a fantastic location. Being on the side of Gardiner, it's in walkable distance from shops and restaurants, but at the same time, you are in the wilderness - you see only mountains, hear only the river, and you see elks walking around there all the time (in fact, the elks grazed on the grass right next to our camper at night!). We will definitely stay there again when going to Yellowstone next time! Thank you! :)

Nice location, close to the Yellowstone entrance, about a mile, very quiet and nice view to the Yellowstone River. A bit pricy (100$) for all services but it is close to the Yellowstone Park and other attractions and it was the same price as the Fishing Bridge Campsite we had in Yellowstone with a bit more room. Showers and washrooms were clean. No grill for RV site and no fire allowed. It was great to sleep with the sound of the river. Overall, a nice stop.

We had a pretty disappointing stay here. To start, the woman at the front desk was all but helpful. We were then told that we had a camp spot on the river. It was definitely NOT on the river. Instead it was next to the bathrooms and dish washing area. Please see the pictures I provided. If you are in campsite A or B, you will not be on the river. If you need a spot close to Yellowstone, this could be for you. All camping and RV sites are basically touching so if you're looking for space, this is not the place. It's high volume and high turnover. The only thing redeeming about this campground is the cleaning crew. They did a fantastic job keeping the showers and bathrooms clean. They deserve 5 stars.

Worst experience ever. We made reservations in JAN/FEB for a family vacation. The owner called my daughter the day they left to tell her she could not camp there with a tent-one over a jeep. Then told us our son could not put up a small tent for himself on our site at night. They let my daughter stay then unplugged her small cooler and all of their food spoiled they brought up from AZ while we were visiting the park. We had to find a campsite in another location for our son which cost another 450$ for the week. Very rude people. Ruined our family vacation we planned for over 9 months. We are a military/police family. The disrespect for people in general is unacceptable. Heard from other campers as well. DO NOT STAY HERE.

This is one of THE BEST campgrounds we have stayed at!! From the views to the cleanliness of the bathrooms and showers, it was amazing! We saw elk and their babies every day just across the river, and also in the campground :) We give 10 stars to the managers, Gary and Kathy. These people are so wonderful and kind, something you don't see much of any more. They accommodated us in every way they could and were just the best! We also met Linda, another manager, who was also very kind and shared so much info about the area!! Honestly, if you want an awesome experience, book your campsites at this place. Wish we could have stayed longer!! <3 Bill & Lynn

Excellent location with immaculate restrooms! I mean they smelled amazing and are super clean. Extra nice that we had electricity at our tent site as well, esp since our mattresses kept deflating. I had the best night's sleep in a week of tent camping. The sounds from the river felt like we were at the ocean, and we woke to the sound of beautiful birds chirping.

Reserved a tent site. No internet at all! Also no electricity which contradicts from what was stated on the website. The site was located directly next to the restroom. Convenient but also no privacy if someone walked by to use the restroom. The restroom is incredibly clean. The staff was really rude and have little to no communication skills. The main reason I give this RV park a 1 star. They made my stay extremely uncomfortable and unpleasant despite the beautiful view.

Other than a very nasty experience with the manager, the RV park is fine, with enough room, and a killer view of a river if you get the right spot along the fence. If you don't, then you get a view of a gravel road and a dozen RVs double parked with gigantic Pickup trucks, blocking half the road and any chance of a decent view. Both pull through and back in spaces are offered. The restrooms are clean and well maintained.Word of warning; there is a rule of one vehicle per RV spot. This seems to be very unevenly enforced, with a drivable RV and pickup able to share a spot and block half the road, while two cars and a van parked together, well out of the road, is not allowed. I admit, 3 cars is probably too many to a spot, but this rule was only applied to us specifically and not the half a dozen other people also broke this rule, and we were told of this at 9pm, after the sun had gone down. One of our group had to leave and drive half an hour in the dark to find some public land to park on to sleep, while the double parked pickups were allowed to stay without a peep. You can avoid this issue by only bringing one or two vehicles, with at least one being a pickup truck.Nearby activities: Nearby town has a variety of excellent restaurants, and the park has good driving access to the less trafficked entrance to Yellowstone.

Nice park, spaces are a little tight, to be expected in a prime location with land at a premium. You think you are protected from the weather being situated down in a valley of sorts, but you are not. If leaving for the day, no matter the current weather, roll your awnings up, and secure outdoor matt's, and lighter camp gear. The "campground rules" advise you to do so as well. The winds move in fast, and strong down thru the river valley.Nearby activities: A good jumping off point to enter the park. The first 4 miles from this entrance are the winding-est. It gave me motion sickness, which I'm not a typical sufferer of. Take it easy hear, the rest of the park isn't to bad. I would consider staying in the park next time to avoid this 4 mile section altogether... if we were to have a lengthy stay. I seen vehicles of all sizes and types go through it, can be tight, but doable for the less intimidated driver.

nice place. the guy staff, gary, was rude and extremely unfriendly, do not recommend. I was walking my dog he peed on the grass of my RV site on accident, the dude throw a huge tantrum, he was saying how everyone would be looking at it and having no manners, while no one else cares and it's just grass, you can't see it and it rained really hard that day which just wash it away. do not recommend solely because of the guy staff!!! felt like he was watching us the entire time, a real creep.

This campground is at the river bank and you have to descend down a narrow, gravel road to the campsites. Campsites themselves are very close together. Right now I have some super noisy neighbors and other than the river itself there’s no view. Atleast we have full hookups and the park provides a list of tv channels. Campfires are not allowed. There’s no trails nothing much to do here other than park.

Everything we needed in an RV Park. We were left stranded by the incompetent fools at the rv park up the hill. I called and left a message at Yellowstone RV and the next morning received a call from Linda who found a spot for us and saved our vacation. No complaints at all with this place and the staff is outstanding! Thank you for your help.

A really nice RV park. All the facilities are clean and well kept. The only drawback is the price, it's a bit steep for a tent only site ($55/night), but showers are included and the spots right on the river are really nice. It's close to the road, but since it's down below the road, there isn't very much road noise.

Great location, beautiful mountains on both sides and nice Yellowstone River.Full hook-ups and 24 hours shower, can't beat that!I chose this location out of many specifically because of the river in the back to fish and unfortunately I was told that we cannot fish in the location. To me, that's a huge negative point as campers usually want to be able to have some fun, specially if you are from Florida and is used to the great outdoor life. This place would be a 5 star if I didn't fish, but won't be an option for future trips anymore.Hopefully my review helps you make the right choice for yourself.

This was a great place to stay while visiting the northern parts of Yellowstone. Easy drive to Mammoth and not far from the Lamar Valley. The folks were nice and our site backed up to the roaring river. In June the river is less blue than pictured, more brown from the snowmelt, but still mesmerizing. And a raft of tourist will go by every now and then. The facilities were clean and well priced. Had nice showers and got a lot of laundry done quickly.

We stayed here in August 2021. This was a location close to the entrance to the park, but it also had great views in its own right. Nice campground with nice shower facilities. What made this place stand out for me was the way they helped me with a reservation problem. I booked well in advance for a RV site as well as a camp site. I received a call from the campground a week before my scheduled visit and they wanted to know if I wanted to cancel the remainder of my nights because I had missed the first night. WHAT????? Turns out I had put down the wrong dates for my RV site in my reservation request, my tent site was correct. They worked with me and got me a spot during a busy season for all the days I needed! WHEWWW! They didn't even charge me for the missed first incorrect day. I appreciate them greatly for going out of their way for me.

The location and proximity to the north entrance and Gardiner MT was convenient. Each RV site had power, water and G/B dump., picnic table, no fire pit. Tent sites had standing grill and picnic table. The restrooms and showers were clean and well taken care of. The host was nice and helpful overall except when the next door RV left their 2 dogs alone in the camper yapping all day (get back around 10pm), every movement or sound set them off! Our dogs just stared at them. Host said they would contact the owners but nothing changed. Since it is right next to Yellowstone river where rafters would occasionally row by and wave if we were looking out. Ours was was looking down at the river. There were elk that would come by across the river. Would stay there again if neighbor does not have dogs. Would have given 5 stars if the happy barking was taken care of.

This was our 1st time at this RV park we really enjoyed it. The grounds are well kept, they water the grass daily, they have 2 locations on each end of the park with dog potty bags & a trash can, a nice small playground, laundry & shower area, & free wifi. We got a spot that backed up to the river it was beautiful to sit out the back of the camper hear the river & see occasional river rafters go by. We even had a little bull elk show up early in the morning right outside our camper. It's just a short drive to Gardiner & Yellowstone.

This small and basic campground is conveniently located near Yellowstone National Park's North Entrance. The sites are spacious and the ones on the water side have a spectacular view of the Yellowstone River with no obstructions. The prices were reasonable and staff friendly. I would stay here again and highly recommend.

Tom and Tammy were warmly welcoming, and super helpful. They were visible in the park every day we were there, ready to assist. The campground itself was perfect -- right on the Yellowstone river, with pronghorn grazing on the opposite hill, and elk making a trip through the grounds. Bathrooms nice and clean; I didn't wait once for my shower. Thank you for helping to make our trip a terrific vacation!

We spent 5 months in Yellowstone RV Park last summer, while working in Mammoth Hot Springs. The park sits right on the banks of the Yellowstone River and is very convenient to the north gate of the park. The park mangers were very friendly and always willing to help. The facilities are very clean and the park is well maintained, although it is a little dusty when the winds blow down the valley. We would highly recommend this park, if you wish to base your visit via the north gate.

We spent 5 nights at the park in our Motorhome. The manager and his wife were extremely helpful. Restrooms and laundry room were especially clean and welcoming. It’s a great central location if you are heading to Yellowstone or the Tetons. We would stay again if we were in the area. Highly recommended!

Great views and a location very close to Yellowstone, but the wind here is crazy! We couldn’t leave the awning open the entire time we were there and the wind kicked up so much dust from the gravel roads that being outside wasn’t fun. If you plan on being out and about or in Yellowstone NP most of the time I’d say this is a good park, just don’t expect to hang out outside at the campsite for very long! If the wind and dust wasn’t an issue I’d give it 4 stars.

This campground has amazing service, location, staff. 5 stars all around! My husband and I brought our dogs, they have dog friendly potty areas and lots of places to walk them around! Beautiful views! Our power hitch actually broke down when we were leaving and the staff helped us with tools and helped my husband get it fixed while it was raining. So helpful! Will definitely come back!
