During our visit to Yellowstone National Park, we stayed at this hotel for a day. Gardiner proved to be the perfect spot for exploring the park's northern region. The room we had was exceptionally spacious and tidy, and it included a full-size fridge and microwave. The presence of an outdoor sitting area with chairs and a table added to the overall amazing experience of enjoying the views. Furthermore, the affordability of the hotel makes it a highly recommended choice for accommodation.

We spent two days in this hotel as part of our trip to Yellowstone park. Gardiner is the ideal location to explore the northern portion of the park. It is within walking distance to restaurants and a grocery store. Our room came with a kitchenette with a full size fridge, which is ideal to prepare lunches for the day.The staff is friendly and the view is hard to beat. Highly recommended.

Great stay here. The room was good and the kitchenette was of great use to make some baby food and morning breakfast. Location is EXCELLENT in Gardiner and close to grocery store and the park entrance. The service was OK though. My main gripe was that the hotel did not get in touch with me re: their unavailability after 10pm for late check-ins. I happened to see that they are unavailable after 10pm last minute on my reservation and immediately tried calling in, but they were gone for the day by then (causing me anxiety for the next couple of hours). They did leave me check-in info in the envelope on the front reception door and I was indeed able to self check-in smoothly that night, but it did cause me unnecessary stress for couple of hours, which I think could've been avoided by better communication from their side.Firstly, most motels/hotels have 24-hrs front desk service (hence it's not a natural thing one would remember to check w/ hotel from your side) , but the the ones that do take off for the night, ought to communicate to the guests as a courtesy. Agreed that most would indeed leave an envelope with your name for late check-ins, but that little bit of communication really does make a difference in making the guests comfortable and avoid any anxiety/nasty surprises later (and in fact the next hotel we stayed in West Yellowstone did exactly that by reaching out to us re: late check-in, making us comfortable, and I really appreciated it). Hopefully, this feedback helps them improve on that in the future :)Everything else was good and I would stay here again next time (but this time I will call in from my side just to be sure ;) )Walkability: grocery stores near by

This is quite a late review. We visited Yellowstone park in July and decided to start our visit from the North side of the Yellowstone, so we picked the Big rock inn. Our whole experience was wonderful. The staffs are wonderful and courteous. The amenities are great, they have full kitchen and big refrigerator. Parking is not an issue at all. Thou the place is located on the major road, it is still considerably quiet at night. Major grocery store is only 5 mins walk and restaurants are just next door. I will recommend this place in a heart beat.

Best value for the buck!Location is close to the north entrance of the Yellowstone park, many restaurants and grocery stores. The rooms are clean and the view from the windows is outstanding. We were there in the Elk rut season and saw so many elks on the road just by being in the walkway/balcony. Will definitely stay in this place if we visit Yellowstone again.

Rooms are very outdated and very stale as there is inadequate ventilation in the room. The light in the room (that worked) were very dim so it was very difficult to see at night. Quality of towels was very poor. The front desk staff was friendly but this hotel needs a lot of work to get close to 3 stars. It is just not worth the price.

Our room smelled great, such clean and comfortable rooms. The staff is absolutely lovely. I am so grateful to have based 4 nights of our Yellowstone vacation here. The above foot noise / car door noise was noticeable in the early mornings but I am generally highly sensitive to that. Would recommend a fan or noise machine if you are the same. We would definitely stay here again in the future.

Room was very large and clean. Not fancy at all, but a good stay and a really good value. Beautiful view out the front door and super close to Yellowstone gate.I hesitated to give it 4 stars because they mixed up how many nights we were staying, and the person I was talking to about the issue was a bit curt with me.

I love the location and scenery this hotel has to offer! It’s located directly across the street from the north entrance of Yellowstone. The town itself is cute and has a lot of character. The rooms are huge and the beds are very comfortable. I would gladly stay here again if I’m ever in the area.

What a great place! So clean and I love the balcony where you can sit and have a nice breakfast. We had a kitchenette and it was perfect for cooking quick meals to allow us to spend more time in the amazing Yellowstone national Park. It was conveniently located in Gartner which is right outside the North entrance. The town has wonderful food.

Overall the room was very neat and clean - spent 3 nights there while visiting Yellowstone National Park with my family. Loved that they provided cutlery and cooking pots at the kitchenette. Courteous staff. Beautiful mountain views from the 3 floor balcony.

Cleanliness: 4/5Service: 4/5Comfort: 4/5Noise: 4/5Overall: A nice option in the small town. The only thing that left a sour taste in my mouth was that you need to call if you are checking in late otherwise they will release your room (seems a little greedy to me).The extended review...Cleanliness: 4/5 - The room had clean linens and towels.Service: 4/5 - Front desk was friendly.Comfort: 4/5 - The room was spacious and comfortable and I had a good night of sleep.Noise: 4/5 - Not very noisy at all.

Very nice desk staff. Big shower. Small nice full kitchen with all utensils. Not quite one mile from the North Yellowstone gate. Clean. Pricey compared to places in others areas of the US, but comparable to the area.

Wasn't excited for the price but we also understood that we were right by Yellowstone and that we didn't have a reservation. Rooms were great, big enough for us and the kids to spread out. Loved that they had tables and chairs right outside the rooms so we could sit and watch the sun set after a very long day of driving and exploring.

It's a little bit pricey for the weekend, but the rooms are clean, they are spacious, and they fit all of my needs while traveling into Yellowstone for the actual reason I'm here which was to take in the wonderful nature and scenery available.

Adam and the staff were extremely accommodating. Make sure that we had everything that we needed for our stay. Room with spacious clean well cap listed in the top 5 hotels that we stayed at over the last 50-day road trip. The view is exceptional. Highly recommend this property. Adam thanks for everything!
