My friends and I did not stay in a room at this Super 8 location. Our car broke down and we were stranded for a couple of hours. Chris, the guy behind the counter, made a huge effort to find us a mechanic and a safe ride. He even offered to ride us back to Old Faithful which was 2 hours away. We really appreciate the hospitality and everything they did for us. Would recommend

An economical, well-run motel in an ideal location, in Gardiner, Montana, just outside the North Entrance to Yellowstone National Park. The rooms are commodious, comfortable, and well-appointed. Upon check-in, you'll find everything in order.I recommend the blueberry and cinnamon-strudel muffins for breakfast. That and a cup of orange juice are sufficient to start your day of exploration in Yellowstone. If you wish, before heading into the park in the morning, you can pick up sandwiches 🥪 and drinks at the grocery store across the street. Later you can order buffalo and elk burgers at the nearby Cowboy Grille and the Corral.Location, location, location.Kimi and her crew run a tight ship and maintain a pleasant demeanor as they strive to accommodate herds of guests.I'll be back, folks, if you're willing to put up with me.

Our group of 4 got stranded after our car broke down and Chris, the guy at the front desk, was extremely helpful. He gave us shelter in the middle of horrible weather. He recommended a mechanic to come fix our car and we were able to continue on safely. I highly recommend this Super 8 for great hospitality and extreme friendliness. Peace. Love. Super 8. And Chris.

Come in the off season… we get a room in the basement next to the laundry room when there is NO ONE else here. Photo of our wonderful view of the sidewalk when the other side of the hotel faces beautiful Yellowstone. It also smells so badly of wet dog. Don’t do what I did, support small and book one of the other cute little places in the area.Noteworthy details: Basement, sidewalk views and wet dog smell throughout hotel.

Great for a Super 8! My wife and I loved that there was a spacious mini fridge with a separate freezer as we were traveling with her Service Dog who does eat a partially raw diet. Having a microwave, coffee maker, and plenty of outlets was also a major plus for us!The room, linens, and towels were perfectly clean and definitely provided a nice place for us to rest after our days of adventuring in Yellowstone! We also loved the convenience of where it was located!Unfortunately the only working ice machine was located in the main office which was quite a ways from our room and was inconvenient; but, we noticed there were signs posted for people to NOT use the ice machines to fill their coolers so we understood people had probably abused the privilege of the ice machine which is why the hotel probably shut all the others off.The front desk staff was amazing, kind, and very respectful of my wife’s Service Dog (which we greatly appreciated since that doesn’t happen everywhere we travel).Overall we would definitely recommend this place and look forward to staying here again!

What, this can't be a Super 8! Loved the non-carpeted room although they did say they had rooms that were carpeted. Although we didn't bring our dogs, the wood floor and doggie treats catered to pampered pooches. Bed was comfy and the bathroom excellent. Lobby had delicious food vendor and a really convenient store across the street. Was minutes from Yellowstone. Truly the nicest Super 8 I've ever stayed in.

Staff was friendly, room was clean, really close to the park. There is a store across the street that is really convenient and has everything. Star removed due to the walls being paper thin, hearing people party all night, lack of parking in the evening for everyone staying at the hotel and not being able to pull back our curtains because it’s on the ground floor and people walking by. Seeing elk around town is pretty common.

The room was clean, spacious, and the linens and towels were also clean! The cover behind the shower faucet was cracked most of the way around making the shower difficult to turn on and off, but it did work. The bathroom was a bit shabby, and just ok and standard. It was nice that it did have a microwave and refrigerator. You could hear the people walking above you abd sometimes next door but otherwise it was fine. The staff was friendly and the location to Yellowstone North entrance was perfect.Walkability: The local grocery was across the street. Also it was within walking distance of the rafting companies. Quick 3 minute drive to the center of town with the restaurants and shops. And 4 minutes to the park entrance.

Nice, spacious, clean rooms. Front desk staff was very friendly. I was happy to have a bigger separate freezer attached to the mini fridge instead of inside the fridge like most others because I was able to re-freeze some of my cooler ice packs. Great location in town near a grocery store, restaurants, gas stations, and of course easy access to Yellowstone National Park.

Nice for a Super8. Desk person in afternoon was very polite and courteous, and apologetic when we couldn't check in early (we arrived unexpectedly early.) When we had a maintenance issue, it took a while to get resolved because he couldn't get in touch with the maintenance person, but once he arrived, it was resolved quickly. Breakfast was simple, but nice to have. You are paying for the location - so close to Yellowstone - and it is right across the street from the local grocery store, so that was very handy.Rooms: Seemed updated.Walkability: Lots of things nearby, including restaurants and the local market.

Some of their rooms are located at a basement level, we had the displeasure of staying in one of these rooms. The walls are paper thin. This hotel was the worst sleep we had our entire week at Yellowstone. In addition, the shower was dirty, it had visible dirt accumulation all over the tub. Giving it two stars due to Gardnier being a great location and the fact that they are attached to a small business that sells some of the best tamales I’ve ever had, otherwise I would give them 0 stars. I would recommend you spend the extra money and stay anywhere else in town.

The location is great and staffs are approachable. However, we heard the walking, running, and falling objects from the room above us. We did not have enough rest. It is not a value of money. The ceiling board is so thin, we do not supposed to hear that sounds because it is disturbing and we could not sleep well. We complained this to the staff but said they were full and they could not let us switch rooms. They tried to talk to the room above us and after more than an hour, the running and falling objects stopped. It was around midnight. Never again we will stay at Super 8.Rooms: We heard the walking, running, and falling objects from the room above us. We did not have enough rest. It is not a value of money. Room is great, great location. But one thing, when you check in to this hotel, if the front desk tell you that you need to pay them $200 CASH for security deposit, that's a lie, this hotel doesn't require security deposit. Here is the full story. I checked in to this hotel four days ago, around 4-5 PM. It was a black dude working at the front desk, everything went well, but during the check in process, he told me that I need to drop $200 CASH into the security deposit, just in case any damage to the room. But I didn't have that much cash with me, so I went to the ATM right next to the door. Before I deposited any money, he told me don't worry about it, he would charge it to my card(or something else, he was mumbling). Two days later, I went to the front desk to check out and asked the lady who was at the front desk about how long it would take to get my $200 security deposit back? She told me that they don't charge security deposit, so I checked my mobile bank app, and my bank showed me that they didnt charge me $200, so I let it go, I didn't overthink about it at that moment. But during my road trip, I was thinking about it, I realized that black guy lied. First, he was asking for CASH, so even if i find out it was a scam, I don't have proof. Second, when I was going to deposit the money from the ATM in the hotel, he told me don't worry about it(changed his word). Third, when I checked out, another employee told me there is no such thing call security deposit in this hotel. Fourth, even though I find out that the security deposit was a scam, it would be days or weeks later, I won't return to this hotel just for that $200. And it's hard to prove that I actually gave him $200 cash.Yeah, I'm lucky I didn't get scammed, but I wonder if this happened to someone else already. Because $200 isn't that much for a trip to yellowstone, so it's hard to track.

The staff were kindly and friendly, the room was plain but clean, the breakfast was pretty much just coffee and simple carbohydrates, nothing special, but at least it was available, which is more than I can say for the far more expensive places I stayed in while on this trip. And we walked out of the building and there were elk eating the grass beside our vehicle. It was a treat!

The hotel is very close to the Park’s North entrance. Rooms and other services are good. They offer free coffee and freshly baked cookies at the front desk. Also, continental breakfast is offered. The room rates are higher in the summer season like everywhere else.Rooms: Average category roomsNearby activities: Hotel is located very close to the north entrance and 20 minutes to the mammoth hot springs

Jay hooked us up with our late night check in! He was an absolute gem. Awesome smile, so kind! This hotel was our little safe haven. We booked last minute because we were in over our head trying to find a campsite outside of Yellowstone and we were so tired from the day’s driving. The free coffee and muffins in the morning was a big trip booster too!

This is a pretty typical super 8. Clean and fairly quiet. Good prices, nice people. As mentioned the breakfast was pretty much juice and muffins, but they were good 👍Parking lot is very crowded. Which seems typical for the entire town.Very close to the park entrance.I’d stay here again

Room had hard floors, so we needed a broom to clean up... Comfy bed and good size room. Friendly and informative front desk staff. The guy maintaining the place was great with our dog, so 5 of 5 for that. Great little doggie area out back, but we walked around town. Good location with a grocery store right across the street.

Accommodated our tour group easily. Kind staff. Updated rooms. Cozy warm, spacious room w hard floors (no funky carpet odors!), clean, quiet, ample toiletries and linens. Allotted my party of 3 adults a set of joining rooms instead of just one. We appreciate the extra space and second bathroom to get ready!

This review is for the ice cream only.Nothing short of phenomenal!I arrived after the shop was closed, but the hotel clerk - bless him! - graciously opened the shop up to let me in on the treasure! The flavors were mind blowing - key lime pie, tre leches, Ferraro Rocher… and more! Even popsicles of some incredible flavors! Just an incredible selection and quality - handmade by the hotel owner.Don’t miss this place!

Located within walking distance to the park entrance. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Conveniently located near grocery stores and restaurants. Just beware...you are a long way from any discount stores or chain restaurants. Bring lots of đź’°. Not much for breakfast but better than nothing. Older A/C units are very loud. One of the most scenic views and that alone raised the rating to 5 star value.

They don't serve breakfast or have silerware available, only muffins and frozen food that you can buy. Check in is at 4pm and check out at 10am. Room were updated, no carpet, clean and beautiful view of the mountains.Overall would recommend!
