This was a really nice place to stay. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, and very good showers. It’s a small town so you get get most places on foot. It’s maybe a two minute drive to the north entrance of Yellowstone. Hotels are expensive in this area but I liked place a lot and it was reasonable in comparison.Walkability: Small town, you can get most places on foot.

We enjoyed a cottage in September 2023 and it was such a pleasant surprise. Yes - these cottages are old. But they are super clean. The linens were all crisp and white. Bathroom was immaculate. Bed was comfortable enough for a hotel bed. Shower was HOT and water pressure was good. Staff super friendly and helpful. Location cannot be beat. Would stay here again.

Cannot beat the price. David and John are pleasant and helpful. The grounds are maintained very well .Cozy and comfortable, couldn't ask for more. Best kept secret in town. Nate and John where very helpful and and treat you like family and fixed us up with all the things we need . As seniors and all of our travels in US this was delightful.Rooms: Spotless well maintained.Safety: It's like a small town almost forget to lock up.

The cottage was cute and clean to stay in., with parking right in front of the cottage. It had all basic amenities including microwave, fridge and coffee maker. Location is very close to Yellowstone NP north entrance. We were shown a high price while booking which we paid, and soon after that the price dropped so we ended up paying 15$ extra due to this.

Toilets clogged very easily. We rented a 2 bedroom one, their was only an ac unit for one room the rest of the unit was an uncomfortable 80 degrees or higher. Also if you want to spend $200 + to sleep on the world's most uncomfortable mattresses as you prepare for an awesome day in yellowstone, be my guest! Your back will surely hurt. The only redeeming thing about this place, is the fact that it's in gardiner. If you can get any other place, please do!

Great location (can walk to all dining, etc in Gardiner) and cozy cabins. GREAT price. Staff was very helpful and clearly cares a lot!Gardiner is a great place to base for the park, especially if you’re hoping to see wildlife in the Lamar Valley. It’s a less busy entrance (vs West Yellowstone). It’s literally right by the park entrance. The cabin itself was very small but worked for two of us. The bed wasn’t super comfy but it worked out fine. Appreciated the fridge, full size coffee maker, privacy (since we had our own cabin)? view out our window of the hills and excellent water pressure.Loved watching elk right outside our room in the morning! (Less so watching people harass the elk 🤨)Highly recommend the local grocery store, Gardiner Market, down the road for a variety of food options, and the Corral next door for amazing Buffalo/elk/beef burgers!

Nice, affordable cottages that were very clean and the inside layout made surprisingly effective use of the space. Our cottage had a fridge and microwave. We also had a very good Wi-Fi connection the entire stay. Parking is available right outside of the individual unit, which made loading and unloading the car easy. The property sits up on a hill, so you actually get a nice elevated view of the surrounding mountains. Location is within walking distance of just about anything in Gardiner.Property management and employees are unbelievably kind. We visited in mid June 2022 when flooding closed off traffic in and out of Gardiner. Management came around and offered frequent updates on the situation and even organized meals for the guests. Hard to express how much we appreciated their generosity during this time. I will definitely stay here whenever I’m in the Yellowstone area in the future. Hope this review helps others to consider staying with them as well.

Comfy, cozy, old and dated but a nice stay close to the North Yellowstone entrance. Friendly staff and local kitty. Parking is limited and tricky. Small shower. If you’re heading out early make coffee to go in your room. Nothing is open before 6am in town. Close to restaurants and shops. Only a few room have a view.

We have been staying at Hillcrest Cottages in Gardiner Montana for the past week and we could not be any happier with our cabin. The cabin is neat and clean and very functional. The cabin has a nice front porch with views of Electric Peak and Yellowstone National Park.I highly recommend Hillcrest Cottages if you are looking for a place to stay that is not a typical motel.

I wish I could give better than 5 stars. I just happened to arrive on the eve of all the flooding. Upon finding out in the morning my water was not working I found out that the main water lines in the town had been contaminated by the flood. So they provided clean well water. When it became uncertain how long we might be there they DID NOT keep charging me for space. Rather they provided a breakfast for the guest and said we were welcome there until we could get out. I have encountered VERY FEW accommodations that sough to care for their guest like staff of Hillcrest did for me. I would HIGHLY recommend them. The cottage I had was peaceful, private and had everything I needed. They also had very strong internet. Thankfully 😅 I got out a couple days later. I wanted leave something for other travelers.

We are a family of four and We spend two nights, and really liked this place, it seems very small from outside but is spacious inside and you can ask for things you need at the front desk. The elks visiting is an extra bonus!! I wish they had an outdoor fireplace and and kitchen exhaust if you want to cook something. Other than that this is a strong five star

Made a last minute reservation here before a backpacking trip in Yellowstone. Great place to rest up before a big hike, clean and simple rooms, and easy checkin. Bathroom was fully stocked and air conditioning was a plus. Liked the little house vibe. We loved it so much we came back for another night! Highly recommend

Pleasant surprise! Visiting Yellowstone can be very pricey. This place was so reasonable we were a bit skeptical. It was super clean, plenty of room, 10 min from the NW entrance at Roosevelt arch and the amenities were great! Small cook top, gas grill, small fridge and microwave. The staff/owners were helpful, checkout simple and wifi strong. Thanks for a great stay!

Unit I stayed in: Basic little cottage with 1 queen size bed (3 pillows), nightstand, tv with cable, WIFI, kitchen table with 2 chairs, mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker, stand up shower, toilet, sink, sample size shampoo, conditioner and lotion provided along with fresh towels. Not much room to move around but good for 1-2 people to sleep and spend minimal time in. Great location, gas station right there open very early with a nice selection of coffee for early morning animal watching.Staff was friendly and pleasant, wore masks and provided hand sanitizer. Unit was clean and tidy. For the location, it was worth the price. I would stay here again (1-2 days max- because if the size of the cottage) and I would recommend.

This was the perfect place to stay. It is clean, the owners are friendly. It is a great price compared to all the other lodging choices. It has a beautiful view of Yellowstone as well as the town. We had deer and elk walk around our cottage in the evening and gorgeous mountains right in front. Would highly recommend this place.

We're just leaving this place and had a wonderful experience here! The cottage was super clean, and the proprietor very family friendly. There were lots of fresh towels, coffee microwave stove and sink in the room, with a washing machine nearby.Plus the views from the little patio were gorgeous. We'll stay here again next time we're visiting Yellowstone.

It is cottage/cabin style motel. Staffs are helpful. Rooms and restrooms are small but quite and you can see Yellowstone National Park entrance from your window. Don't expect it has resort services or mattress.

This is a great option for a budget conscious stay outside Yellowstone and probably the best value in Gardiner. The location in town is convenient, and the room was large with a comfortable bed. It's not much to look at, but it has everything you really need for a stay like this.

Adorable and very clean, even during COVID. Great service, I have to drink decaf coffee, asked a very friendly front desk clerk to trade in my 2 reg coffees for decaf and was given 3 decaf. Room is tiny but very clean, windows were open, little front porch with a bench to sit at night. Walking distance to restaurants just down the street. Better then the somewhat dirty hotel we stayed at in Kalispell. Stay here if they have a vacancy!

We stayed in 5 different hotels on our road trip and this was the best place of all. We stayed in Cabin C and it had 2 double beds, a little bathroom and kitchenette with a toaster so my grandson could have a english muffin before hitting the road. It was clean, quite and peaceful which the 4 other national chain hotels were not. It's in walking distance to downtown Gardiner and a few blocks from the grocery store. We would definately stay here again.

Affordable, cosy, clean, friendly. The staff lent us bear spray for free. Elk and deer wander right next to the canyons and the location in the center of Gardiner is very convenient. Highly recommend and would stay here again in a heartbeat!
