Pioneer Lodge is the perfect location for your stay in Fort Benton. Nice, quiet rooms with a front sitting area facing the Missouri River. Stay inside and out of the weather with the view. Or, step outside and sit with friends, make new friends and just take in the air and scenery. Susan is an excellent host, and has a lay of the land as far as viking the sites. A grest stay!!

To begin with the owner Suzie is a hoot! What a great gal! The hotel is a treasure and and the history of this building is unique. We had the Lewis and Clark room and it was very clean and comfortable. It was great sitting out front on Main Street with a view of the river running past just a stones throw away, waving to and talking with the locals and passerby’s who stopped to look over the classic cars our group drove into town. It was a great experience and we all agreed we would stay there again.

Great location, amiable owner and quirky digs. We stayed here for two days-off from a hot summer fieldwork project and spent the bulk of our time hanging out at the hotel (pandemic times limit what's open in town). The room we stayed in felt more like an apartment with a queen bed, table area and bathroom on the main floor and two long twin beds in the upstairs loft area. Can't beat the location, has fridge in room and communal coffee/microwave, as well as coin-op washer and dryer. Good shower & beds. Proprietor is definitely a hub for the community and has a pleasant outdoor seating area in the shade for chats and watching the river across the street. Will definitely stay here again if we're passing through.

It's a roof over your head, but has serious shortcomingsI am fine with basic lodging when circumstances dictate, but this place has problems. The owner doesn't seem to care, seems like she is just coasting.Needed to stay in Fort Benton and the only other lodging is an expensive, boutique-type place so tried this. Rooms have no ventilation, they have been converted from some other non-lodging use in the old building. There is a shared microwave, which would be o.k., but it was shockingly filthy. Advertises that she provides a light breakfast. Instead a handwritten note states where you can buy food elsewhere. And if ya had to heat up your food in that microwave....I recommend not staying here unless you really need to.

Best place to stay in Benton. One hotel is over priced fancy but good food. The other needs a lot of work. If you aren't staying here, I'm sorry. It's the best option in Ft. Benton. On the water, dog friendly, plenty of parking, clean rooms, some 2 story rooms with spiral staircase, and a great owner. Not sure what else u want. Free coffee and muffins in the a.m.

Friendly, funky, fun... walking distance to everything in Ft. Benton. Accommodations are clean, spacious and, well... 'unique' would be the word. The view from the "living room" is fantastic. The price is right. The owners are happy and helpful. Recommended.

Second generation owner is nice and curteous. Rooms and layout are a bit unconventional and decor is definitely dated. Cost is higher than chain motels, but there aren't may options in Fort Benton.

It was better then the fort motel that's for sure. Nice lady runs it . Water was a little inconsistent but the bed was soft. Side note... There was a sign saying don't use the blanket on the bed... It was for looks only.

Funky and fun. Looks a little like an antique store in the lobby but the rooms are clean and comfortable. Super friendly people. And a lovely town.
