Just bought a humidifier from here… must have been a previously owned one that got returned cause when my boyfriend and I opened it, it was dripping wet, had brown stagnant water in it, even the papers that came with it were wet/water damaged. When people make returns please check the product inside first before putting it on the shelves. Seems like that’s what you’re supposed to do and they didn’t care enough to do it. On our way to return it now. Thank god the guy at the counter we bought it from insisted we take our receipt after we initially declined it.

It would be GREAT if they stocked milk that wasn’t expired! this is the second time in the last 2 weeks they’re trying to sell expired milk. !!! WTAF!!! Says MAR 03 ..today is the 4th. You might say that’s only one day. However, the fact is it’s beyond the date no matter what!

Decent selection of goods for being a small town, prices reflect that. Wonderful staff, clean and laid out well.

I was at Stein's last year when I was visiting from Ottawa, Canada. Prices then were expensive in relation to the price of groceries in the capital of Canada - Ottawa with 1.2 million people. Now back this summer, a year later 2023, and the store is now a Watson's Market. The prices are even more outrageous at Watson's. Price gouging is out of control at this store. They are taking advantage of people in this small community who have very little income; they should be ashamed of themselves. The US dollar cost me $1.36 and yet your groceries are more expensive that Canadian groceries stores and also the goods have to travel further to Ottawa. Example: cherry tomatoes $5.59, back in Canada $1.99. Cob of corn $1, Canada .49 cents. Watson's is all about "profit".

Prices are high for a small town where alot of people don't make or have much money. They got us by the balls and obviously don't care. Everything is always about money.

Nice little grocery store with fair selection of goods. Raw meat & baked goods selection could be a little better, but overall the selection was nice. The staff is friendly and happy to answer any questions you may have, or suggest some cool things you wouldn’t have thought of normally.

Had what I needed at the currently high prices... Some shelves were a little bare, but this was the day after independence day, a long weekend holiday. Clean and ordered.

If you can cook, this store has a great price on Spice Supreme Spices. Quality spices at a low price and just the right size containers to fit perfectly in most spice racks.

When I went into stein's for craft soda, I admittedly had a little trouble finding it. However, when I inquired about the lack of sugary drinks to an employee, they lead me into a backroom behind the meat counter where I was graced with the presence of such fine vintages as the 1977 piece, "Gush Rush" from a since defunct local brewery, "Brewster and Sons Brewing Co.", I've only heard tales of. If you'd like to see said hidden grail, go to the meat counter and ask for Richard.

The employees here are great, friendly overall. Other than bread everything we have gotten here is as expected. The front food area sells great chicken strips. So good. The meat here has great prices. We can usually find everything we need here.Update: They now have a bread I love, the French Bread loaf, there is also a sour dough variety (a sliced bread not the French bread, although that is really good as well). Quality has been much better lately.

Excellent selection of food, great customer service, deli & take out section, amazing garlic butter, easy to navigate isles, regular sales, sales coupon books at check out and they will apply every available coupon, even if you don't bring your own coupons. When you do being your own, they will return you're coupons after checkout so that you may use them again on another shopping trip. I highly recommend Stein's for all your grocery needs.

They have almost anything you'll need in a grocery store so Eureka is lucky to have them. Prices can be a bit high but factor in the distance from any large city and I guess it works out. They have a deli, bakery and meat department with weekly specials you can check out for deals.Huge alcohol department, but only sell beer and wine and all grocery needs can be met here. Clean and friendly service.

Most of the staff are very friendly good people. The owners however suck! They keep their prices super high four times higher than any other grocery store their produce is wilty and not good at all. They treat their employees like second class citizens! They cater to the Canadians and they make the locals pay the locals are hardworking Ranchers. And hard-working people there are 3rd Generation folks here that are too old to pay that price they're on a fixed income they happen to be the ones that built this town. And the people that bought Steins are from Idaho they don't have to worry about their groceries they could care less.

As a member of a growing group of local craft soda enthusiasts, I was severely disappointed to find such a poor selection of craft soda pop. Even the smallest of stores I've been in carry the smaller craft sodas like Jones. I noticed that they do have gigantic industrial sized tubs of mayo, mustard, and ketchup; they also have the biggest jugs of nacho cheese and salsa I've ever seen. So I guess if you have a need for huge amounts of these things you're set. But for a soda person, the selection is absolutely appalling. I urge you, Mr. Stein, to up your soda game. Thank youCJ

I, frankly am appalled. As a collector and avid drinker of a variety of small brand and niche sodas, I was appalled and disappointed in the lack of niche sodas and beverages. I have a group of over 100 people in my niche soda club who also live in eureka and we all want steins to carry more bottled soda selections. Perhaps dads brand. That’s a good one. You have Henry weinards but that’s all. I am frankly appalled. I wish steins would carry those niche sodas. My friends will also be leaving 1 star reviews shortly.

Pretty big store but the produce prices were higher than average. They have water refilling which was also higher than average. The only thing cheap was the beer! I found some good deals on local brews.

Large selection of items, but noticed have tendency to raise prices with Canadian/tourist impact. Young cashier's, count your change, even with register telling them what to return, still make mistakes. Not the friendlest cashier's, very moody. Friendly one time, can't even say hello next time. Parking can be a challenge, having tourist pull in with boats, camping trailers, lot can fill fast. Also if you are leaving once up on grade waiting to turn onto 93, can be a wait.

For a small town grocery store, this place is pretty impressive. Prices were pretty reasonable, the meat was good quality, and the beer selection was great.

Customer service is sorely lacking at checkout. There is maybe one visit out of ten where the cashier acknowledges our presence. The hard-working folks in the deli and meat departments deserve kudos.

Great place full of great people. About what you would expect from a small town grocer. Prices can fluctuate pretty significantly, but when stuff is on sale it's usually a really good sale.

The niche soda selection has really improved. I’d encourage the local soda connoisseur club to give it another go.
