Don't let the word motel fool you (I tend to stray away from anything I see the word motel in, maybe it has to do with where I'm from?) because this is far from it! After checking out reviews and photos, I decided to give it a shot and I'm sure glad I did! My significant other and I stayed overnight at Mountain Pine Motel after arriving via Amtrak in the evening. The office staff was so accommodating (and they do allow 'After Hour' check in, you just need to let them know!) and the cabin was SO cute and cozy! The photos you see online are exactly what you get. The cabin was very clean and the bathroom was spotless! It does get quite cool during the night outside but the cabin stayed nice and warm. It's been 6+ months since our stay and my boyfriend and I STILL talk about how much we enjoyed our stay here and have plans to stay again when we return to Glacier in the future! 12/10! If you're looking for breakfast the next morning, there is a local diner in East Glacier across from the Amtrak Station that has delicious and filling food - make sure to bring your appetite!

First: The owners put a lot of care and hard work to make this thing work, and it shows. They are great to talk to and have a wealth of knowledge about the area. This is an old style motel that is well maintained inside and outside. Perfect for use as a base for hiking trips on the east side of Glacier National Park and parts of the Bob Marshall Wilderness.Rooms are reasonably priced and significantly cheaper than other lodging options along the eastern side of Glacier Park. They come with a decent size fridge and a microwave, as well as satellite TV if you have the energy to watch it after hiking all day. The bed is comfortable. This motel does not have air conditioning, but even on hot days you don’t need it due to the lower humidity and cool nights. It was 93 the day I arrived, but the room temp was a pleasant 73.I will definitely stay here again next time I visit the area, and strongly recommend this motel.

Spent a week at Mountain Pine for our vacation at Glacier National Park.Driving onto the property we were immediately impressed with how well maintained and nicely landscaped it was.The owner, Ryan, was very friendly and helpful. When we were checking in I asked if there was anywhere around that rented bear spray, he reached down and pulled out a can for us to use during our visit. The rooms aren't fancy, but they are very clean and the bed was very comfortable. Just what you need after a day of hiking! My friend forget her hairdryer, she went to the office to ask if they might have one. The lady at the desk gladly went and got one for use during our stay.On one particularly warm day we wished we had some ice to put in drinks. We went to the office to ask about anywhere close by we could get some ice. Ryan said "you came to the right place" and filled a gallon bag with ice from their ice maker for us to use.Be sure to try The Whistle Stop restaurant if you stay here.We would definitly stay at Mountain Pine again if we ever get back to Glacier and would highly recommend them if you are planning a vacation to Glacier.

The owner was incredibly helpful throughout the booking, during and after the stay. The rooms were tiny and I'm not used to Glacier prices but they seemed typical for the area. My only issue is there was a bit of a noise every time the heater kicked on so I would highly recommend packing ear plugs if staying in a cool season. I would stay here again!

Absolutely lovely stay! Gorgeous location, very sweet and kind owners. Easy access to Glacier Park, and surrounded by beautiful lodgepole pine trees.Loved having two separate sinks in the room so that my boyfriend and I could each get ready separately before my cousin's wedding. Also especially loved being directly across the street from Brownie's so that we could get coffee and breakfast sandwiches in the morning -- very convenient! The only thing I regret is not staying here longer, because it's an absolutely magical place and I can't wait to come back.

Truly a wonderful motel! The proprietor was is remarkably friendly and helpful. His hike recommendations were spot on and his knowledge of the area was super helpful. The location can't be beat for access to Two Medicine. Many Glacier and Saint Mary are only about an hour's drive. The rooms are simple and almost feel like a remarkably well-maintained time capsule to another era (though there are mini-fridges, microwaves, and LCD TVs). All together, I highly recommend - especially for the traveler looking for a cozy place to crash at the end of a long day of exploring.

We had a good experience during our one-night stay in East Glacier side. Nice, spacious, clean room and comfortable bed. We had a good sleep after 6-7 driving from Yellowstone park. We also love the environment of the motel. It's cute place 🙂Rooms: Specious room

My husband & I traveling from Wisconsin wanting to visit Glacier National Park. I did not see a room available for 2 in a row online but was able to book 2 separate rooms for 2 night stay. I called to confirm with the owner Ryan that this was ok. Ryan was kind enough to change booking to 2 nights in the same room and also confirmed there was accommodation for our trailer carrying our motorcycles very near, which it was. We were so pleasantly surprised on our arrival to this gem of a hotel. The hotel is meticulously kept outside & in our room. Pride of ownership is apparent throughout, very clean and though this is an older establishment it is maintained very well. And it is a short drive to a few of Glacier National Park entrances. Thank you Ryan for checking to make ing sure we had vehicle passes for the park too. Highly recommend staying here if needing accommodations in East Glacier MT. Refreshing stay compared to big chain motel/hotel.Nearby activities: Glacier National ParkWalkability: Breakfast, lunch, supper. Shops for souvenirs, food, art gallery, laundry

I booked Ye Olde House for a trip with my family and we were very happy with the accommodations. There were two full bathrooms and bedrooms, plus sofas, and a fully outfitted kitchen where we did some cooking. There were plenty of clean towels and bedlinens, which were easy to find, and a full washer and dryer unit (a huge plus! We brought our own detergent). Even with the cleaning fee, which was very reasonable, this was the most affordable place to stay that I could find in the area for a group of eight. Ryan was helpful in providing detailed instructions for finding the cottage since it's a little bit away from the rest of the property. We also enjoyed the outdoor picnic area where we could watch some of the friendly wildlife.East Glacier is about an hour from either entrance but both drives are scenic and go by quickly.

We stayed two nights here during our trip to Glacier National Park. The property and the rooms were very clean. Beds comfy. The staff were all very friendly and Ryan made several suggestions that were very helpful. Very convenient to get on the Red Bus tour at St Mary's pickup location for Going to the Sun Road. I would definitely stay here again.

LOVE this place! Stayed 4 nights. Owners are amazing and accommodating with great knowledge and suggestions of things to do and see. Our room was beyond what I ever expected!! Clean! Spacious! Comfortable! Room had a microwave, single cup coffee maker, mini fridge with upper freezer section which was great for us to freeze water bottles in for our cooler to take hiking! Felt very safe and had uninterrupted wi-fi, and DirecTV. Great location and value. I'll definitely recommend Mountain Pine Motel to anyone heading the GNP and my family will definitely stay here whenever we come back. Thanks so much!Rooms: Included microwave and mini fridge with freezer section! Two fans provided. Tv. Full bath tub. SO clean. Comfortable beds.Walkability: Across the street from a coin laundromat, a couple restaurants and a small convenience mart.

We stayed at Mountain Pine our first two days at Glacier Park. What a great little place! The property was well maintained, attractive, and inviting. The room was clean (no carpet!), the beds extremely comfortable, and the owners were very nice. It was a great location...close to the park and close to restaurants. We enjoyed sitting outside on the supplied chairs in the evening. I would most definitely stay here again. Thanks for a great stay!!!

This is a charming, well kept older Motel with beautiful grounds. Everything was very clean and in good repair. All the rooms were filled, but we hardly heard the other guests. The employees were fantastic. Ryan the owner and front desk guy helped us find hikes that were do-able even for an overweight, out of shape almost 60 year old. He told us where he had seen animals in the last few days and we were able to see 2 moose! He even lent us bear spray. I would stay here again in a heartbeat and recommend it to anyone looking for a quieter experience than the tourist circus of West Glacier.

booking my stay at the mountain pine motel was the smartest decision i made when planning my trip to GNP. its the best place to stay in east glacier, hands down. its a charming little place thats relaxing and cozy. its got all the amenities a person would need. clean linens, fresh towels, comfortable beds, quiet area and all the modern comforts like good wifi and good cable that help you relax after a long day of hiking or whatever youre in to. the motel is a family run business and ryan, the owner/operator, might be the nicest guy ive ever met in my life. he has a vast knowledge of the park and surrounding area, so if you have any questions hes more than happy to help. the whole vibe at the mountain pine motel filled me with a feeling of being “home”. i was sad when i had to check out. if youre planning on staying in the east glacier area youd be wise to book room at the mountain pine motel, its a great place to stay.

I've stayed here for 6 days while visit Glacier NP and would 100% stay again! The room was super clean, the environment was also super clean and well-maintained, it made me feel like coming to an oasis after a busy day's hiking. The prices are great too, as is the cancellation policy. There is no reason in my view to stay anywhere else when visit Glacier NP, if you are looking for less touristy areas!

If you're visiting East Glacier, don't hesitate to stay here! I booked a stay after reading the glowing reviews about Ryan's knowledge of the area and hikes, and he exceeded my expectations. He was considerate of our particular desires when recommending hikes, and he was clearly passionate about helping people enjoy their trips. That alone is enough reason to stay, but the hotel is also nice and comfortable, with extra touches like real water glasses and coffee mugs in the room, real coffee in reusable storage containers (instead of single use plastic bags), and a real spoon for stirring. The location is also cool with the Two Medicine entrance just a few miles away. We might not have even thought to visit Two Medicine, but we ended up finding our favorite waterfall of the trip out there.

This place was absolutely amazing!! My boyfriend & I had a pleasant time at our stay here. The owner was extremely helpful and made sure we felt comfortable. He gave us a lot of helpful information about the town and trails. This place has such a warm feel to it and provided everything we needed. It’s also at a perfect location because everything is within walking distance. I would love to come back and enjoy more time in east glacier village, the people are so kind. Thank you, again!! We had such a lovely time

My wife and I stayed here just one night after a long, exhausting day of hiking. We enjoyed a quiet, peaceful rest. The room we stayed in was not fancy, but it was clean and comfortable. The grassy courtyard in the middle adds a nice touch of serenity. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend to anyone as a great value for money option if you want to stay in East Glacier.

I was traveling by bicycle across the country, after riding “going to the sun road” I decided to take a break in East Glacier. This place was the perfect spot for a quiet evening and a fantastic break day! Super clean, and fantastic owners, I wanted to stay longer. Laundry, general store, and Restaurant is just a short walk from the property. This area has a more authentic feel, and was a highlight of my trip. Thank you very much!

From the moment we pulled up to the beautifully manicured grounds w summer flowers and creative signage, we fell in love. The owners were incredibly kind and friendly, chatting about photos on the wall and showed us to our room! The room was large, clean, and perfectly laid out for a family traveling together. Having two separate vanity areas was super helpful for getting up and out in the morning. Lots of places to put suitcases and luggage. Large fridge and freezer. Thoughtful amenities like glasses, coffee maker, makeup towel, and even TWO fans! Screens in the windows so we could enjoy a little fresh air. Beds were comfortable, and we all slept well. Our only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer! We hope to be back!
