We reserved a room with 2 beds. When we came it was given to somebody else. Money was charged. The solution was given: Spent 1 night in single, then take all our things out at 11 am and wait 3 pm to get checked in in the 2 beds room. 1 day of our vacation was wasted.I said I don't want to waste my morning waiting while they're solving the problem they made. They said it's not their problem, it works only like this.Looks like they don't understand how the reservation works. Be careful.Noteworthy details: No wifi. Bad management. Don't care about clients. Don't know how the reservation works.

I, for one, do not like leaving negative reviews, but because so little information was found regarding places to stay, I'd like to give everyone a heads up who is considering staying here. Firstly, if you're not familiar with the area, it is difficult to find because there's 2 properties, so it'll send you to Dancing Bears Inn. The receptionist at the Dancing Bear Inn was friendly, directed us to where we needed to go, and pulled up a picture to make it easier to find and checked us in. The door was wide open when we arrived after 9pm, since it was nighttime, it was difficult to see the state the room was in till the next morning. My pillow had stains, the floor had stains, their was mold in the kitchen above the sink, water damage under the sink (it was open and visible, I wasn't looking for faults), debris and dead insects behind the same sink (only one in the mini lodge), spiders on the inside of the windows near my bed (no I'm not scared of spiders I left them there simply stating as evidence of the room not being cleaned). Spiders in the restroom, the vinyl flooring was lifting from water damage in front of shower, there was a sign near the shower door stating the hot water needed to circulate and to let it run for 15 minutes or so which I did and it was still ice cold I ran the water for 45 min before toughening up and just getting it over with. The shower stall was small, and for my ladies, shaving was difficult. There was no phone to communicate with staff, no smoke detector, no wifi (good luck if you have kids). We were supposed to stay another night but decided not to, we left that afternoon. We took a video of the room, if I can remember to ask for it I'll see if it'll allow to post it.

We had a very good experience here. Really nice 2 bedroom apartment like airbnb room. 2 beds ,a bathroom and full kitchen. Everything we wanted and needed. Staff was very friendly and accomidating to our needs. We showed up very late at night and the office clerk was so nice and helpful for waiting up for us to arrive. Thanks a bunch for the good stay and affordable nice venue!!!

They do NOT refund your money nor can you find a working phone number to talk to someone. I had charges on my card on my June statement. Was given 4 different phone numbers from some software place that doesn't represent the hotel - the hotel just uses their software whatever that means. Someone at this hotel has stolen $911 from me and I am not a happy camper.

After going to Dancing Bear and being extremely dissatisfied with the upgraded house we were supposed to rent we were sent here to their sister facility. These cabins are very outdated. Windows and door falling apart. Junkyard in back of cabins. Cabins stink of deodorizer which I got rid of then stunk like mold! Mattress with spring sticking up and listing to the side, very uncomfortable . Heater didn’t work in 1 cabin we had. Chairs stained. Shower made for a short person! Had to climb over the person on the outside of bed no space to move! I do think the housekeeping couple tried hard to clean .Breakfast sandwiches frozen with frost on them.I would not stay here again!

We were very impressed with this stay! For just over $100 we were provided with a comfortable and very clean room, with a television, deadbolts, fan, bathroom with shower, separate sink and vanity area outside of the bathroom. The cabins have a small porch and a fire pit to get to know your neighbors or roast some marshmallows, etc. A very basic breakfast is available because their lobby is quite small and couldn’t accommodate much more, though the thought is definitely appreciated. The woman at the front desk is so sweet and kind, it seems others also agree with that opinion. She really does a nice job. The cabins could use a little updating and repairs, but that is to be expected with cabins this age. We stayed at Stanton Creek Lodge for nearly the exact same price and not only was our stay horrific, but it didn’t include any of the above mentioned amenities and it wasn’t as close to the entrance to Glacier. We felt very safe and secure at East Glacier Motels, we would most definitely stay here again and wish we had booked both of our 2 nights in Glacier here. We absolutely will next year when we are back in the area. We highly recommend this stay!

Wife found dead bugs in the cabin. Not the worst nor best. Bed was uncomfortable. Washcloths were stained or still dirty. Cabin didn’t have a TV as advertised. Not a big deal, but it may matter to some. Nice people around, but the room was not worth it. Management is difficult to get a hold of. Fast WiFi near their office though. Nice fire pit area. Plenty of parking. Cabin has a kitchenette.

Gave our room to someone else. Had to cancel our trip early due to an emergency. Was offered a refund for the days we had to cancel and a partial refund for our room being given to someone else.Still have not received a refund of any kind and turns out we were over charged by $50/night compared to the priceline receipt. No one ever answers the phone so good luck getting anything resolved.

We were supposed to stay here on July 3rd, 2022, because of snow and going to the sun road still being closed in Glacier National Park, we cancelled our trip and are trying to cancel our reservation, but can't get a hold of anyone, the website said we can cancel for free but we were now charged for the room. Reading the other reviews , we were upset to see that other people had almost the same issues, now we're on the phone talking to someone at the hotel and he says he doesn't have a record of the reservation, AFTER my friend's credit card had already been charged a few months ago....we went through Booking.com also....he's now telling my friend that we booked at the 'sister' hotel....no working phone numbers to contact the 'sister ' hotel or working email to contact anyone there....we only found a phone number after I found this site and a different phone number that someone posted here...he says he's going to talk to the other manager and saying they're 3 weeks into new management and trying to deal with what they left behind

Seems that the quality of each room/cabin varies greatly. We were unlucky and stayed in an older one that had little to praise. The room was filled with bugs, the toilet leaked on the floor, wallpaper peeling off the walls, etc. It’s understandable that the accommodations in East Glacier aren’t the best but for $179 a night I expected something a little cleaner. If I had to do it again I probably would have just slept in my car.

Owner is a crook, beware! I was fully charged on booking prior to my arrival with an overcharged price. When I asked for explanation the property stopped responding. I've cancelled my reservation for free, but never got my money back. Booking.com service is horrible, so do your self a favor and avoid this one.

I was debating for a while about my review: what to mention and write about this motel, how I should rate my one-night stay and experience, would I recommend it to others or not... With my family we spent a night here in early July 2018.The sole reason I gave 3-star and not 2 is the owner of East Glacier Motel and Cabins. Although at first she seemed a bit surly, but she actually is super nice and helpful, and works really hard to satisfy her customers, made them feel happy and comfortable during their stay. We booked a room in the Cabins, and once we arrived and wasn't completely satisfied with the "authentic cabin experience", we discusses our options with the owner and ended up making a deal to switch to the motel rooms, that made our stay much better. We decided to switch to the motel part because the cabins are too small and simple. For four adults the beds were extremely small and uncomfortable, the room doesn't really have any storage space and could be labeled as a 1-star motel. Old beds, old refrigerator, old wall painting, two garden chairs outside, but clean bedding and room, running water and electricity. We wanted more, and wasn't happy with the authentic cabin. The motel part was much better. The rooms are significantly bigger, and although a bit old as well, but more comfortable. We didn't have problems with the hot water, and the wifi was fine during our stay (but slow, and completely out in the morning). But the beds - although they were clean, same as the rest of the room, - but are too old and worn out: as others mentioned in their comments, the mattress are in an extremely bed shape: are uneven and simply uncomfortable (so my brother ended up sleeping in the floor instead). The breakfast was fine, nothing fancy or too healthy, but not the worst I have ever had. To simply put, the rooms are really overpriced: you need to pay a lot for a truly simple experience, but I guess the closeness to Glacier NP explains it.The location of the motel that "saves" it: really close to Glacier NP and to the actual "downtown" of East Glacier Park -- i.e. walking distance to stores, to the Amtrak station, and to restaurants. Also, there is a public shower at the other side of the street, almost next door.Altogether our stay here was fine: for one night it's better than sleeping in a car.

My wife and I were visiting glacier for our fifth year. we love staying in East Glacier park village because it's centrally located. Our reason for visiting the park is to go and enjoy the outdoors. We stayed in one of the small cabins. It was very clean with basic amenities. These are old and rustic but have updated interiors. If you want a place to hang your hat after a long day on the trail you have found it. If you need a swimming pool and and personal attendant then the lodge is just a couple blocks away. The staff here cares about you. And will do everything to make your stay enjoyable.Thank you so much.

Gordon on the front desk was terrific. Friendly, enthusiastic and helpful. Cabin was basic but cozy. Location was excellent, easy access to restaurants and shops, as well as Glacier National Park. Grill for guests was great, gas or charcoal! Obviously the place is a work in progress but going in the right direction. Gordon tried hard to meet our needs.

i wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. two friends and i were supposed to stay there, but we had to leave due to a medical emergency. we spoke with the owner and we were promised a refund minus the first night since we left around 5pm. after calling back multiple times with no response, he finally answered and was incredibly exasperated when we tried to confirm that he’d be sending a refund. we still haven’t gotten our money back, and our visit was in august 2021. he still won’t answer our emails or calls.i should also mention that these “cabins” feel more like sheds. ours was literally leaning to one side, and i’m honestly glad we had to leave.updating in june 2022 to say that we still haven’t received our refund because they said it was “already issued” – we would’ve remembered getting four nights worth of money back from this place. a waste of time and energy (and $500)

We had made reservations to stay here from August 3-6, 2017 for a family reunion. I had confirmed we would arrive mid afternoon on the 3rd. When we arrived at 5pm our room had not been touched, still needed cleaning. When I asked to use a restroom, non available but offered for me to use the one in the unit we would be staying in. Upon entering I noticed the room had not been made up at all. We left and came back approx 6:30 and the room was ready however it smelled HEAVILY of bleach and we had to open the windows and door to air out, burned our eyes and throats. The dishes that had been in the drainer when I earlier entered the room were still there and not moved. I did not trust they had been cleaned so I looked for dish soap, non in the room....hmm dishes had been washed?? Also the sponge on the sink was well used, not new. Bathroom had only a well used sliver of soap, no new bars, no shampoo, only 1 partial roll of toilet paper. The stove burners had burnt food in the trays. I had to go to the local store and purchase dish soap as when I went to the office to get some they did not have any..... Room was not cleaned on the 2nd day even though it should have been, that was ok.Thinking they were just overbooked for the help they had. The place was comfortable and we did have a bungalow with 2 queen beds, 1 bath, a living room area and full kitchen with microwave. Beds were very comfortable, sofa pretty broke down. Pots & Pans were well used:). I did send them an email regarding all this and never got any response, even after following up with them.

Gordon was very nice. I was visiting for a family reunion for two days two months ago. While I stayed there I had seen people return for lost items. However, mine were stolen by staff. (Along with Gordon's head set) I tried to contact the owner multiple times as I was a local and even employed here once years ago. The first time I called they identified my things. The next time they were missing. Pink brand clothes- two pairs of leggings and hoodies an expensive cocktail dress and my bathing suit. All gone because poor staff. I called multiple times and was even given the owners number two months later, nothing. I'm a new mother and struggling to return to my pre pregnancy weight and needed to be reimbursed as I can't afford what I used to.

This place is terrible. We reserved a room for two nights and after driving 18.5 hrs, we arrive and were told that they called us and we confirmed that it was OK to move us to a different TOWN and room. This call never happened. And thank God for the other better and more reliable lodging options nearby, because we refused to stay with them after that happened. We were told we were refunded and that better be the case (will be checking asap). Aside from the trouble when we arrived, after we booked online, we were told this place didn't exist. We were getting calls trying to scam our credit card info as well. Very sketchy place. DO NOT BOOK HERE.

My husband and I spent 4 nights in a cozy little cabin. Not fancy. Simple and clean. Friendly staff. Hot coffee on the morning with basic breakfast choices to grab and go. Location is close to park. A few mom and pop places to eat and shop along the road. A great place to stay and relax after a long day in the park.

We stayed a night here in September 2016. It was a neat little place. Cheap, clean and safe with free breakfast. Nice workers. Close to restaurant and store. Only compliant was the bed was terrible. Worn out and uneven. My mom and I couldn’t quit laughing because she was much lower on her side than mine. It was worn completely out. But it was a fun and funny experience that made memories. Would stay there again 🙂

Man, I don't know what some of these folks here are saying cuz we had such a blastie! Gordon was just awesome and was hilarious. The hammock was a treat. The fire pit made our night. Also the Huckleberry Pie diner across the street was quaint and fantastic. We had so much fun. The room was average as expected by an 100 year old motel I assume. Loved it. We were in Glacier to spread my son's ashes and Gordon made me feel so comfortable. Hope ya liked the edible treat. We're coming again in August.

If you’re looking to stay in a luxurious setting, this is not your place. But it was just fine for our needs. A roof over head, running water, windows that opened and a paddle fan over the bed creating a perfect cross breeze. Check in and out was incredibly simple.

I'm sorry to have to say that I give East Glacier Motel a big zero. My husband and I made reservations for a total of 5 nights just 2 1/2 weeks before planning to be there. When he had a medical emergency (an eye hemorrhage) and we had to cancel, Andrea kindly said we would receive our money back. I offered to send a statement from the doctor, but she said that wasn't necessary. I received an email that said we would be receiving the full amount. But the credit card was never credited, I learned when our statement arrived. I called and they said they would look it up and call by that afternoon. They never called, and now they do not even pick up the phone when I call. If we receive our money back, I'll be sure to post it. BEWARE OF THESE PEOPLE. So far we have $668.75!

Sketchy place. We changed our reservation and they said they credited us for 1 day thru Priceline/ Booking.com but never saw the credit. Tried to leave a message for owner when we were there and they said she doesn't respond and doesn't respond to emails. Pricline also said they reached out to the property to confirm the change of reservation and they couldn't get through either. Would not stay here!!! Room was old and musty.

We booked this place through booking.com as they were new and didn’t have any reviews. As soon as I was charged, it came from Dancing Bears Inn (sister location). Looked up reviews and google and saw I was having the same problems of being charged early and overcharged. Seeming how most people requested a refund and never got it, I immediately canceled through booking.com because I know they will force them to refund us.I would not trust this place at all.

This place was horrible! Dirty room, tv didn’t work, Wi-Fi didn’t work. Staff, what staff? Man was not helpful at all. We decided to checkout a day early and we were told IF they could rent the room out we’d receive a refund. I called the next day and was told the room WAS rented and I’d receive a refund. Two months later and 5 phone calls to them, still no refund or a return call.

This is the worst motel that I have ever stayed at in my life. I booked two nights without seeing this place-big mistake. The cabins are tiny, the bed is extremely uncomfortable, small, lumpy and bounced with every movement, the carpet is frayed, the walls are damaged, the door and the windows have peeling paint, the shower goes hot and cold and terrible pressure, there is a heater that you cannot adjust where you are too cold with it off and too hot with it on. With the heater on, it is like being near a jet engine. The only thing to do with this really really awful place is tear it down and start over. On top of all of that, they had the gall to charge me $91 per night for this junk room that was maybe worth $30 per night. Definitely pass on this motel and save your money and aggravation.
