I have NEVER met a more rude and disrespectful cashier as I did today in my hometown Safeway deli. I was trying to explain the debit card reader wasn't instructing me to do anything ,and cathy( deli worker) actually scowled at me ,and yelled that there wasn't anything she could do. In all my years of shopping at malls grocery stores, ect.. all over Oregon ,Washington, and Montana, I have never met a more rude cashier, and of all places in my own hometown !

Customer service was excellent! Met one of the employees named Lisa who was so kind and helpful. Made a deep connection with her on a personal level, while she was still able to preform her duties, held a meaningful conversation and really enjoyed spending that few extra minutes speaking with her. That's what it's all about. You never know what kind of effect you will have on someone with just a greeting and a smile. Thanks Lisa for making a lasting impression on me. I hope next time we are in town I get to see you!

Watch your receipts people. They over charge in just about every time I shop there. Sometimes its one item and sometime more.

Great place. Friendly staff. Free fruit for kids under 12! Fruit and veggies were fresh. Prices were decent.

I come to this Safeway very frequently, and I am very upset about the treatment from your girl cashier with the purple/pink brownish hair. Every single time without fail, she never greets me, never tells me my total and never hands me my bags. She just stands there and glares at me until I end up having to look at the screen to see my total, and reach over the keypad for all of my stuff. I’m not asking for utmost enthusiasm from her I would just appreciate it if she acknowledged my existence for once. I try to only go over there during the daytime because I absolutely dread getting her as a cashier. The first time I got her I thought well, maybe she’s just having a bad day. But for that to happen for months on end is absolutely ridiculous. Please, either have her get her attitude in check, or FIRE HER!!!!

In 25+ years of shopping at Safeway, I never knew it was possible to check out with a cashier & never say a word! This chick obviously didn’t want to be there, & was intent on making every customer she came across not want to be there either. Such a shame.

Safeway is a really solid grocery store chain. This Safeway is no exception. They had a very nice and fully stocked deli section. A very nice and complete produce area. The whole overall store was tightly packed with lots of great options. The staff was super helpful and welcoming. They all asked me how my day was going and wished me safe travels. It was a really nice personal interaction.

They charge a dollar over walmart prices on every item in the place. And workers aren't very friendly! Valley Market is a few cents higher priced, but WAY BETTER SERVICE! Well, new staff more friendly lately ☺️ The new crew they have now are Friendly and Helpful Now Days! Veggies were in pretty bad shape, found only 3 🍅 tomatoes that were decent enough to buy, red onions soft, some poor quality! Update is vegetables got fresher, but grocery prices just keep going up and up!

Nice friendly community market. Excellent selection and really fresh produce. I was super shocked when we entered even the small floral selection was perfectly in bloom. Store has tried to get as much selection as possible in the small area so isles are a little tight. Staff was super friendly even though we were clearly tourists.

Store was clean, as usual. Check out personnel are friendly and nice to deal with.The only detrimental thing with Safeway is the way they pack their bags...so full and unbearably heavy. I always have torn bags and a mess. Bags can weigh as much as 18 to 19 pounds, which is just way too heavy for me!

It was fine it's a small safe Way good service except in the deli not very friendly I don't know what she was doing reading a book or reading a newspaper but it was hard to get her attention so I didn't get anything in the deli

Picked up a few items and went to get some chicken from the deli counter and waited 10 minutes to order but the deli guy couldn't bother to stop talking to take our order. The people he was talking to wasn't even getting anything from the deli. I wonder how many sales you lose because of him. I'll never be back.

Nothing more impressive than walking in this store and watching 3-5 employees standing alongside the bldg smoking & yakking. Just another day of hard work at Deer Lodge Safeway!

Needed to pick up prescriptions from the Pharmacy inside of Safeway it's quick and easy and the pharmacy staff is wonderful especially Crystal and Allison. When I have to wait a little bit for my prescriptions due to the volume of people that also enjoy Safeway I like to stroll around the store and pick up things that I need that are on sale.

Small Safeway but still good selection of produce, snacks, seafood, and really everything else. Grabbed some grapes and milk, no self-checkout lines but nobody was in line for checkout anyway. Quick grab and go!

Recent change in management shows. A little less attention to detail as of late. Strange placement of items. Staff seems less motivated to perform at a high level. Few local options keep the store relevant.

Nice small town Safeway. Food selection was good. They had a good produce and meat selection. The service was excellent as it is in most Safeway stores. Parking was good. Nice store!

Shop here every time I need groceries. Best priced and way closer then walmart. Plus easier to navigate and not so darn big. Does not take forever to shop

Everyone here is very nice and very helpful prices are halfway decent when you buy the sale items but look at the dates on your fresh produce not the produce but your Dairy and your Meats like you would do it any other store when they have sales the sales are really terrific it's time to stock up

Smallest Safeway ever but it provided an aux cord on our road trip when ours died. Very friendly location. Very small town feel and I loved it.

I wasn't able to get any deli meatsbecause they said it was closed for the night at 7 and they didn't have any cut or wrapped for the customer so I was disappointed
