My husband and I went for the Valentine’s meal and the food was SO GOOD that I forgot to take pictures of the rest of the courses! We both agreed this was the best meal we’ve ever hand, not just in the Bitterroot but in our whole lives. You’re definitely missing out if you’ve never stopped at this little gem. Anytime we’re south of Darby, we’ll be stopping in for a meal. Thank you Shull family and Chef!

As a celiac it is always nice to be able to order something other than a salad. (That being said their salads are delicious. 👌🏻) They definitely know how to handle a good steak, but I was craving something outside of steak for a change.So I ordered the Pasta Primavera without the noodles for gluten-free option, and was pleasantly surprised when they added potatoes so I still had a starch! 🤤 PS my youngest got the kids Mac & Cheese and it was REAL Mac & Cheese not Kraft. Not hating on Kraft she definitely eats it at home. However, this little five year old lady inhaled the bowl making all the “This is soooo yummy and good” comments! 👌🏻☺️

Love this place. They have delicious food. My husband took me there for my birthday and I wasn't disappointed. Met the owners and they were really great people. Everyone there was really friendly. The atmosphere was cozy plus the night we were there they had live music which was really nice. Definitely recommend. I know I can't wait to go back.

Went to the Knotty Nymph yesterday for Mother's Day. Made reservations for 3:30 to avoid crowds. We succeeded in that, since there were only 4 cars in the parking lot. And speaking of parking lot, be super careful when you pull in, there are potholes that could decimate the front end of most cars, just as you turn off the pavement. Tried to order off the dinner menu, was told that was not avauntil 4. On Mother's day, the entire menu isn't available? Ok, whatever. My mom loves Patty melts, and my sister and I ordered burgers. My sister got the Buffalo stew, which was good. While waiting for the food, I noticed food residue, it just needed a damp cloth wipedown, on the table. Went to check out the cleanliness of the bathroom and the garbage cans were overflowing onto the ground. Came back to see mom's salad had been delivered. There was barely enough dressing to taste, because you could not tell by looking at it, there was any at all. When the Patty melt was delivered, it was so rare in the middle, a skilled vet might still have had a chance! I can understand a burger not being done, and get delivered, but the Patty melt was cut in half for presentation! We sent it back to be cooked longer. After it was brought back, we noticed it was on white bread. One of the defining characteristics of a patty melt, is the rye bread!And it was at this time, we were told their Patty melts were on Texas toast. Then it is a hamburger on white bread, not a Patty melt!I don't want this to be all negative, they did have Coke Zero, my drink of choice. However, the one refill, we had to ask the bar keeper for, since our waitress, never came back to check on our drinks.So, it is safe to say, I won't be back!

Wow is all we have to say!!! We drove from Stevi in a snow storm for their Valentine’s dinner special and everything was amazing. In fact, it was so amazing that I forgot to take pictures of the other courses, so all you get is a tantalizing picture of the appetizers! This was hands down the best meal we’ve ever had, not just in the Bitterroot but probably in our whole lives. If you haven’t tried the Knotty Nymph, you’re missing out on a gem and a half. Get whatever steak they’re offering, and definitely get dessert. Thank you Shull family and Chef, we will definitely be back!

We went here for our Anniversary while staying at a Vrbo near Sula❤️ Annie was our waitress and she was amazing….the food and whole experience was fantastic! We have been telling everyone they need to go here😏. Oh and free dessert on your Anniversary ❤️

Went to the Knotty Nymph today. Our bartender Geneva was absolutely great! She brokered a deal with the owner and our party to purchase all of their awesome hats! After spending well over $800 the manager decided that we were not worthy of being in the restaurant. Don't know why, kind of wish he had come to speak to us about why he needed to cut us off and send us away. We were not being rude and we were not being out of control. We were spending money and having a good time. We even had patrons in the restaurant come to us and thanked us for spending money locally and also wanted to take pictures of us with our awesome hats.Guess if you're from out of town you're just not good enough. I would love if the owner ship could contact me and get some more details. Could be any little place if the manager wasn't so ridiculous. He didn't even have the respect to come talk to us. He sent kitchen help to come talk to the bartender to let us know that we were not welcome anymore. Unfortunately after this experience we wont be back. I was so looking forward to this place being cool. 😢

Probably my favorite after ski stop between Lost Trail and Hamilton! There's a good food menu, and last ski season they were offering 2 drinks for the price of 1 if you skied Lost Trail that day! The atmosphere inside is awesome and eating in there is always a rich, mountainside experience!Parking: Plenty of parking outside in front of the restaraunt!

We have to share our experiences last night! The food was amazing, we had appetizers that were wonderful, fish and chips that were delicious, pasta very tasty, New York steak that was cooked perfectly, generous size steak, amazing flavor, and the special was wonderful too. Big thank you to the chef!!! Great job👍 Our drinks were great, bartender was so NICE! Thank you for the great drinks!!Our waitress was so NICE and FRIENDLY ! Thank you! Our company enjoyed everything and looking forward to going back! Thank you for the great food, drinks and laughs.The atmosphere is always comfortable an casual. Tried this local gem last night and it was phenomenal! Incredible service, our server was delightful and attentive. There were three of us and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their food. Highly recommend the steak sandwich, beet arugula salad & flank steak with vegetables & Ceasar salad. Flavors were A+, with ingredients that tasted fresh. Hats off to the chef! We will be back soon!

The Knotty Nymph is one of our go-to places for dinner when we have friends visiting from out of town. We love the atmosphere and the food is phenomenal! Our most recent meal was prime rib, mashed potatoes and asparagus - all of which were cooked to perfection. We ordered cocktails, making a few minor tweaks to a classic recipe, and they were very accommodating. They offered so many delicious options for dessert that we ordered 3 and shared them all! We can’t wait to go back!

Wife and I had a great dinner! My wife's steak was perfectly cooked rare as she had specifically asked for and my bratwurst was delicious. We were given complementary appetizers prior to dinner which was very nice of them. We loved the atmosphere and ambience of this place. We will definitely go back and we highly recommend them to others.

Wasn't all that impressed for the price. Our service was slow. The garlic toast was very dry. The salad was good minus the large onions slices. Took over 15 minutes to bring out our ice cream that was already melting in the cup which didn't even look like 2 scoops for 7.00!

Do not miss this dining experience. The best Pork Tenderloin I have ever had, hands down. Tender roasted potatoes and cauliflower for the side and the flavors were incredible. No skimping. Locally owned, friendly, professional staff does it right. If you are not local, this is well worth the drive. And the beautiful drive is a bonus!I will add photos next time!
