They have some rare brands of wool yarn and very knowledgeable staff. It was so easy for the clerk to find color matches for me, I didn't spend much time there. Friendly, worth the drive.

I love quality yarn and knitting. This hole in the wall yarn store is chock full of delicious yarns to make my knitting projects a total delight to knit and to gift others. A must stop for any knitting enthusiast or knitting-wanna-be. They offer free classes on Fridays too to help with your project.

Super friendly and helpful even for a beginner knitter. Very relaxed vibe. Jamie put two yarns together that are so beautiful, I'm going back on my way to the airport to get more. The cowl I was planning has just turned into a poncho! Huge selection. So fun to buy local yarns as a memento of my trip to Montana.Addendum: One year later...and back at Brave Dog Knits again while visiting MT in July. Realized I didn't buy enough yarn and gave them a call.Ya'll.Customer service is everything, and Brave Dog offers it without reservation (the same cannot be said for every knitting store in the area). I live on the other side of the country, my LYS is closing (horrors!), but I would rather talk to and order from Brave Dog than take my chances with online yarn purchases from the 'big guys.' It doesn't matter where you live - call Sherri and she will work with you. Once they get their website up and going, it will be even better. Support your LYS!

The space is filled to the brim with delicious yarn. There is a wide assortment of workhorse, cotton, specialty fibers in addition to hand dyed and locally sourced or dyed yarns. Prices are more than reasonable and great service!

Was exploring Columbia Falls while in town and found this place. I had the loveliest conversation with the two women inside working! They have beautiful knitted and crocheted creations for sale along with instructional kits, supplies, and of course yarn! Would definitely return for the lovely employees alone.

Sherry, the owner, is great to chat with. There is so many yarns and notions in such a small space. Lots of locally sources products. Tons of samples for inspiration. I'm so glad I stopped here. It's a fabulous store.

My only complaint is this store is on the other side of the country from me! Good quality natural fibers and a complete selection of Jamieson shetland. This shop matches the way I like to knit!
