Just went to ace for the first time in years and bought a tool kit paid way less than what a local pawn shop wanted and got twice as much the cashier was great and service was amazing

This place is awesome! The staff is always so helpful, professional and friendly! They have a great selection of anything you can need for around the house plus they offer awesome gifts and cute household goodies. Recently discovered they have their own line of sauces and seasonings and they are fantastic as well! Be sure to join their rewards program also! We saved $25 on our last visit just from the coupons they give you, definitely worth signing up for!

I don't often leave a place feeling special. But today, two of the associates at the front register recognized me from earlier visits. That alone made this visit a 10/10 for me. I left feeling like I was at least important enough to be remembered. Signed up to the rewards due to the recommendation of the women at the counter. Thank you for what you do!

Love Ace. They don't quite have what Home Depot or Lowes have, but the staff ALWAYS make sure you are helped and satisfied! Our stores are very clean and check-out is usually quick and friendly.

Dear Readers,The customer service at the Butte Ace Hardware is horrible: The managers don't resolve your complaints.My experience: I bought a Box fan and asked if I could return the product if my wife and I weren't satisfied with it. After a week's normal use, we found out that the fan didn't have a weather guard for window use, so I called to ask if there would be any problems returning the fan. The customer service rep. stated that there would be no problem with returning the fan; however, when we went down to the Ace Hardware to return the product, they found every reason not to refund the money: The box fan wasn't clean enough or this or that: It had some normal use dirt that could easily be wiped down.I wouldn't recommend shopping at the locally operated Ave Hardware, which is individually owned, nor would I recommend the service across all tiers from management to sales associate.Save yourself some trouble and just go to Walmart, where they honor returns, and they ironically, have better service, which is saying a lot.Take Care,

Incredible friendly and helpful staff, great store hours, always have what we need! Absolutely our go to hardware store in Butte!Other hardware stores in Butte have competitive pricing but their employees don't seem to care if they have your business or not and treat you as an utter inconvenience 🤨🤷🏼‍♀️. We'd rather spend a little more for a much more pleasant shopping experience 😜

Absolutely the best hardware store available in Butte Montana. The staff is very courteous, helpful and very knowledgeable with all tanks hardware & paint related. This truly is the place which helpful hardware didn't know how to run a service-type store. Thanks for the great location and place to do business.

Every time I come into ace I get a feeling of easement. The employees are all very friendly and helpful, and usually ask if you need help just passing by. Best place in town for dowels, all thread, small project wood and screws/ nails. Unfortunately the vet discount only runs one day a month or else they would be getting 5 stars.

Buyer be warned Ace Hardwares have different return policies. Don’t expect to buy something at one Ace Hardware and be able to return it at another. It’s especially frustrating when said return policy is not posted near the registers or online. I drove an hour to return an item (after checking both my receipt which said the item was returnable and goggling the Ace return policy just to be sure as I did not want to waste my time)— only to be handled quite rudely by the store manager that they wouldn’t return the item. Nowhere near the register or on the store’s own website does it say they won’t return items. I would have be pleased with an exchange or a store credit. Instead I drove to Murdochs and spent nearly $400 on drip irrigation and hosing. The Belgrade Ace was extremely accommodating, so I’ll be returning my item there and purchasing more items from it. I will not return to the Butte Ace. They lost what was once a good customer. Looking for solutions to make your customers happy generates increased sales, positive marketing via word-of-mouth feedback, and loyalty. Now they get the opposite.

Never been so offended in my life. Took my friend to get some fittings and he got accused of stealing. Also said they just organized there bins, which was a lie.. to top it off was asked if I stuffed anything down my bra. Mind you I am thin wearing tight jeans and tight shirt wear the heck would I hide anything!!! Was told to leave or they would call the police and have them Escort us out. This man has M.S. so excuse him for being slow and a bit clumsy. I hope you never have a loved with M.S.! I will never go to this store again!

As a hardware store the Butte Ace store is great, and the employees are very helpful and polite. However, today on the wall behind the checkout I saw an item that I find controversial for a hardware store. It was a metal work of the 2nd Amendment. During these times of violence throughout the US, especially in the use of military style weapons to kill school children, the interpretation of that amendment is undefined. I am not against gun rights, but I have been in lockdown situations with school children more than once in Montana. Hunting and home defense weapons are acceptable, but to advocate for violence use of military weapons is not. Please use discretion on the items you display and sell in your store.

Stop in at the local Ace Hardware, in Butte, Mt. I have a disability, that keeps me from just about doing anything. I asked a Gentleman working, there could he help me, Went out of his way to come outside,,and find the correct hardware to install on my truck, to put my license plate on. Yesterday I went into Ace to looking for paint to refinish a desk. I interacted with 2 ladies and a gentleman in the paint department and all 3 were an absolute joy to be around. I asked a couple questions and when the 2 ladies didn't know the "best" answer they referred me to the guy. I thought that was a genuinely honest response and I appreciated it because they want my project to be successful and not just guess at what might work. After talking with the guy, he took special interest in my project, showed me some ideas to make it more successful and made sure I had everything I needed before leaving the store so I wouldn't have to come back mid project. I honestly have never had a noteworthy experience in a hardware store but this was different. I wanted to thank all 3 wonderful employees who helped me out yesterday in the paint department. Thank you so much for your time, honesty and expertise! You guys are the best!

This place is awesome! The jingle "ACE is the place for the helpful Hardware Man" is right! Ths staff here is amazing and very friendly and helpful! The place is BIG and has a lot of useful stuff! Prices maybe a tad higher than Home Depot but I'd rather give the money to the local guy! (There isn't a Home Depot or Loews in Butte anyway).
