The food choice is good and the store seems clean i just checked out with a cashier who had several people in her line. In the next line over, there was no one in line and while my cashier was bagging the groceries for the people in her line the bag boy in the empty line was standing there talking with his cashier and buying candy and not helping my cashier at all. His first intial is D.

Katie is an outstanding Cake Decorator and Designer, She goes above and beyond for her customers. She has never let you down, in representing Smith’s. My only Cake Decorator that I will go to!!!

Smiths is a nice store in a great location. They are suffering from the same lack of staffing that so many companies are. However, the younger gals who bag our groceries would benefit from a management pep talk. They complain openly about having to double bag our stuff and often within our earshot , preferring to overstuff the flimsy plastic bags. Canned goods are jammed against glass jars and so on , sometimes leaving us to finish double bagging our own order. They seem to be more interested in rushing off to chat with other coworkers. There are many other grocery stores here in Bozeman. Please don't make us take our business elsewhere

One staffed register open at any given time. Meanwhile they expect that the customer does their own labor at self checkout. This is an awful trend and should stop. It was once sold as a convenience. It was never nor will be convenient. Deli counter is ALMOST never open. Stuff is constantly blocking the aisles. Overall a very poor shopping experience.

Excellent order pick up, in the late afternoon and evening, LOGAN IS THE BEST!!DO NOT recommend morning pick up, the gal is rude every time. questions your purchases... "THINK YOU GOT ENOUGH SODA?"...and "WHY CAN'T IT ALL GO IN THE BACK? She has never NOT been snarky with me.

Don’t bother, only have 1 checker during prime shopping time. Self checkout system is a joke and always needs assistance from the 1 checker on staff. Selection of items is not good. Bakery, butcher, and deli all closed by 5pm. Many better options in Bozeman.

It's nice and clean, they have a lot of fresh vegetables and items that I like and their prices are good . I gave it a 3 star because one of there cashier's was not very nice. And when I call the manager, he didn't want to listen. So I called back and finally got someone that cared enough to listen. Be nice to people, smile beKind and respectful, like your job.

Just spent about $20 on a half pound each of Boars Head roast beef and turkey only to get home and find Smith's has been printing new 'Sell By' stickers and sticking them on top of the old ones. The meat I just bought had an original sell by date of yesterday 3/16, then was extended to 3/18 then 3/19 which is the sticker I saw when purchasing it. The meat is off color and texture and had to be thrown out. I'll be reporting them and never shopping here again. Absolutely disgusting.

I was just in this store and I cannot believe how terrible their customer service is. I waited at the deli counter for several minutes before either of the women at the meat slicer (8 feet away) could be bothered to acknowledge my existence. Finally, one of the women said in clipped tones, "we'll be with you in a minute", and she went back to running the slicer. I understand that everyone is short-staffed so I patiently waited. Several more minutes went by, as she grabbed different meats to slice, and every now and then the woman would look up at me with a look on her face that clearly broadcasted that she was annoyed I was still waiting. I finally just walked away. At the register, I asked for a supervisor. One was called and I waited several more minutes before leaving for good. I will NEVER shop here again. There are way better stores around anyway.

Everything in my list was in stock. They are doing a good job of keeping things clean. It's best to use a card to pay right now because of you use cash and don't have exact change, they'll add the change to your loyalty card somehow. Also, they are not accepting any returns if you left the store with the item, so make sure to get the right stuff or check your receipt before you go out the door.

Visiting from out of town and came in yesterday with my boyfriend and daughter, found everything perfectly fine. I forgot the cashiers name but I know she and Paulette were working together!! They both were extremely wonderful!! Conversation was soo much more then I regularly get from people. But they both were very kind!! Keep up the good work ladies !!

This store is my go-to. If I’m not looking for any specialty items, I’ll come here. Some of the best priced produce around and the deli and meat counters have some extremely helpful people working in there.Open late for those of us looking to score an ice cream sandwich at absurd hours in the evening.The pharmacist and techs are all very knowledgeable and attentive. Never had a single problem with them.The only reason they don’t get the fifth star is that since it’s a big chain grocery store, it doesn’t have a lot of specialty grains or bulk seeds and nuts for when I bake.

Very Very unprofessional work environment they worked my girlfriend until she went into pre term labor and would not let her leave on top of that Allyson the hr manager was having my girlfriend do her pump breaks in the bathroom and break room where other people walked in and saw her exposed and not following any of the doctors orders. There are three employees there with active law suits now. The meat freezer is beyond rancid with rotten meat and raw foods that should not be touching each other. They do not value there employees at all find a different place to shop Make sure to check the dates on all the food

Some of the best prices in town, especially on meats and seafood. A decent produce selection, but they have their "off" days when the majority is past its prime. Not a great selection of specialty items. Occasionally I won't find a certain ingredient and will need to go to a different store. Also, not a great selection of beer, although their wine prices are very reasonable.

This store is pretty good. They treat me and my Service Dog, Pi, with the utmost respect. Prices are good. I usually save 10% to 20% every trip. This is also the busiest store I've seen. It's like Yogi Berra said, "nobody goes there anymore, it's too crowded." I really like this store.

I shop here because it’s one of the most inexpensive grocery stores in town. They have a good selection in the isles, but the produce is lacking. I can’t tell you how many times I went to get bananas or peppers or lettuce and they’ve been out of stock.I try and go to the actual cashiers instead of self checkout, but the baggers and not great. Today my paper bag was overfilled. I had beans and marinara, eggs, and other heavy stuff. I couldn’t grab both handles with one hand and asked for another bag of any type to put some of my groceries in. The bagger responded by telling me to pick it up from the bottom which resulted in the bag breaking on my way to the car. I don’t think I will be using full service checkout in the future. I think with a little training on how to bag, I’ll return.I do appreciate the good prices and the benefits I get at the gas station in the same parking lot. Very convenient.

Selection and prices were fine. My bad experience didn’t happen until I went to check out. It was 9am on a Saturday and there were no checkout lines open! I had $200 worth of a cart full of groceries and had to do self check out. How is a check out lane not open at a grocery store??! Also they don’t take Visa so that’s a PITA. Not a great experience!

A store full of fake people ran by women who don't know what its like to get their hands in the mud. I would stay away from this store at all cost. any money spent here is mostly down the drain as this place doesn't have any soul or real people.

I just want to say that the staff this morning at Smith's brightened my whole day! After going to Rosaurs (or however you spell that) and Safeway, looking for fondue and just finding overpriced stuff (I did my research) a Smith's staff saw me looking and directed me to a new kind they had, which was on sale, nonetheless, and the BEST brand that my research showed. Then she took me to another staff person who helped me pick out the best kind of wine for the fondue. Then I was greeted by several staff throughout the store. And the checkout lady was so personable! I only shop there early in the mornings because of the traffic but that store really impressed me today...even when it's just a few days before Christmas and everyone is probably stressed. Thanks!!

Dani was wonderful during my checkout experience. I really appreciate her sharp attention to deal. She was able to spot an additional discount on an item that I purchased. She additional was adept in handling a problem customer who lost her mind during my conversation to detail. I wish I had it on video. Thanks Dani!!!!😀😀😀😀

I was wanting to pay my power bill and had to wait in line about 20 min because someone wanted to send money. A few people in line wanting to do that. I think it would be nice to have someone who is able to step in when needed to help out with those transactions that aren't requiring sending money. I personally felt like I was in the way of other trying to get checked out and leave. Having a person standby to step in would be nice and helpful.

I like their produce, love their pharmacy! Pharmacy staff are knowledgeable and I don't feel 'harassed' by their system and policies like I have dealt with at other pharmacies (ex.: doctor sends in a new prescription of a drug you've been taking for years and other pharmacies will make you speak with a pharmacist every single time. Why?! I could probably tell them more than they can tell me). Hassel free pharmacy.

Everybody was super helpful, an amazing selection of foods with different varieties and making meals up on the spot also great for quick in and out with well lit isles. Part of the Kroger umbrella so your Kroger plus card helps you receive discounts on items in store and gas.

I bought some vitamins on clearance and while I did expect them to be old I did not expect them to have the seal broken and partially consumed already. The product has a warning not to use it if the seal is broken so why does Smith's feel it can sell it to you? Also if they can't check something this simple I don't trust them to make sure my produce or meat is contamination free as well.

I have no issue with the store itself. Looks clean and the food is fine. But one of their customer service clerks must be prejudice toward non Caucasian people. I am a Japanese/Hawaiian American with a Spanish last name. Anyway on 3 different occasions I've watched this same worker greet customers in front of me, was chatty, and overall pleasant. Soon as I get to her, doesn't greet me, doesn't say a word, and doesn't even say you're welcome after I say thank you. This has happened 3 different times with the same treatment. If you're reading this, prejudice customer service worker, shame on you! Learn to accept that ALL the customers walking through Smith's deserves the same pleasant customer service even if inside you're filled with disgust. You're getting paid to serve ALL. Honestly have a meeting about these things with your workers. Or you're gonna wind up with a lawsuit on your hands just like Walmart.

The store is clean however the customer service at this store is horrible. The young man by the front door handling shopping carts was rude to me when I tried to take a cart from the entrance he was nasty and glared when I was just trying to get one shopping cart. As someone who has worked in customer service his attitude and lack of professionalism negatively affected my shopping experienxe and my opinion of Smith's. They need to retain their staff on basic customer service skills. If a customer is trying to take a shopping cart common courtesy says you give them a cart and don't argue with customers or talk badly about them which he did. I will probably shop either Albertsons or Safeway next time I'm in Bozeman as their staff is much friendlier and helpful. I don't recommend the store as their prices are not very good either.

I have always had trouble with this location, we just recently stopped in again against our better judgement, and the dude at the self checkout stood about a foot away from me the entire time even after I asked him to back up and social distance. I also saw several employees not covering their faces properly. If I have to wear a mask and wear it right, so should the employees.

Produce is always fresh.Decent meat prices.Friendly staff.Competative sales.Good health food selection.Whenever I have encountered an occasional bad worker there, I have never seen them twice. Usually save more money here than Walmart.
