We signed up our 4 month old puppy to the private training lessons. The team at Sit Means Sit in Bozeman is incredible!! Always super welcoming to our pup, and ensured we were aware when he was simply tired or when he was trying to push his boundaries with the commands we were giving him. Our pup can now successfully go to the dogs park, off leash, and listens to commands like a little champ. While we still have to be consistent and put in the work so he becomes excellent with his training, Sit Means Sit really helped us with the basics and understanding of how to effectively train so that it’s best for our little pup.

Helped my mini Aussie with his resource guarding! Came back a very calm and happy boy. Expensive but I don't regret it a bit, the resource guarding was getting to a point that I was worried someone would actually get hurt. No issues since, he sits and lets me take whatever I want and he just focuses on the sitting (:Adding some pictures I got of updates for the week he was boarding

Amazing staff!! After our first lesson our Mastiff puppies have gained so much obedience. We have completely new well behaved pups. We are very pleased with the training.

They train us to train our puppy, so we can keep her safe & she can do all the cool things with us in the future. I like that thier goals are to help us have a dog that adds peace and joy to whatever environment we're in, not unwanted distraction or nuisances. We appreciate all their recommendations from what to ler her snack on/chew on/play with to where exactly we want her walking by our side. It is a lot of work, but well worth it 👌

Sit Means Sit helped me train my 5 year old and 6 month old Golden Retrievers. I am so impressed with the results and couldn't be happier with the level of obedience from my two dogs both indoors and outdoors. The team at Sit Means Sit is outstanding and I highly recommend them for dog training! You won't be disappointed!

We dropped off a rebellious, no manners puppy and picked up a gentleman! We are so thankful for sit means sit and the structure, training and control they gave us with Saint! As we continue his training at home we are so pleased with his continued success and the calmness it has brought our household. 10/10 recommend!

We signed up for the puppy training package for our golden retriever puppy, Meatball. The results have been phenomenal, even just after our first one on one training session with the collar. We brought Meatball (14 weeks old) to Bridger Brewing and he was listening to his commands even when surrounded by other dogs. Even without the collar, he has been listening so well and is quickly becoming the ideal companion dog. We take him all over town and to all the dog friendly restaurants in Bozeman and people are amazed at how well he behaves. Each trainer is great and I can only imagine how enjoyable Meatball will be after he completes all of his sessions.

Our dogs have seen huge improvement since taking the 4-session course. The instructors were knowledgeable, very patient, and great at answering any questions we had. The e-collar has given us much greater freedom and peace of mind both on leash and off. We would definitely recommend Sit Means Sit for anyone who is willing to put in the work to establish a lifetime training relationship with their dog, and who wants to ensure their dog (or like in our case, dogs plural) can be obedient, attentive, and safe in Bozeman and beyond!

Everyone at SMS-Bozeman is wonderful to work with. They took in my first boxer when he was a 7-month-old bundle of crazy fun-loving puppy for board and train. I was not sure I was doing the right thing at the time. But after I picked him up and going home, I realized my puppy was still my fun-loving puppy just easier to work with and to go places with. This makes it easier to do more fun things. Jameson is now 2 and the big brother to our second boxer puppy. I was smarter this time and Bacardi promptly was enrolled in the puppy program at 8 weeks and the board and train at 16 weeks. lesson learned and the best thing I ever did, and I love going to my refresher classes.

I worked with Darin back in 2020 and he is phenomenal! Started going back recently for new pup and been working with Brenna and she’s incredible as well! I love how they train your dogs - it’s more positive reinforcement and gentle guiding instead of forcefully training. I wouldn’t trust any other company in Bozeman to train my dogs.

Our 8 month old Husky/Great Pyrenees puppy was getting to be out of control and developing aggressive behavior. As a mom of 6 I didn’t have the time or energy to train him myself. We signed up Remi for the immersive board & train. Just picked him up last night and I am so pleased with his progress! It’s like a different dog who actually listens and wants to behave! I’m excited to see how the next few weeks go. Watch not only his improvement, but ours as well as we learn how to keep him on track and enforce the lessons he has learned. The lifetime refresher lessons was a huge plus for me and reassuring that they don’t just abandon us after training him haha. Thanks Sit Means Sit!

We had our 3 month old lab at the time go through the week boarding training. This was really helpful to break the mistakes we were making which was using heavy treat training at the time. The staff is super friendly and gave us consistent updates throughout the week on her progress. Not only did they teach us the power of basic commands, but the why behind them and the long term success it will bring to her training. The program is incredibly pricey, but having the unlimited lifetime refresher courses makes it worth it in breaking any bad habits she (ultimately we as her owners) pick up over time.

I am forever thankful for Sit Means Sit. My dog Stella is so much more happy and confident with their remote collar system. It has made such a positive impact on my life and the life of my dog. She loves having “jobs” to do!My 7 month old rescue mutt from Washington was incredibly under socialized, anxious, and was very scared of people (especially men). Before Sit Means Sit, I tried medication after medication and nothing really seemed to fix the problem. It look my boyfriend 5 months and a week of living 5 feet apart for her to tolerate his presence. I also tried to do some at home training with treats, head collar, clicker, and more but she was not interested in anything. After going through private lessons she was a completely new dog. Through continued use of structure and the support of the whole team there, she now will greet people she doesn’t know(men and women) and I don’t have her on medication. They also boarded her for some further training where she learned how to soft mouth retrieve anything I ask her to. We are constantly complimented on how well behaved she is! My only regret is not starting training sooner. If you are getting a new puppy, they have a great “preschool” program to make sure your pup starts on a better paw than mine did. I will be taking all puppies in the future right to a consultation so they are better set up in the world.

I brought my very sweet but sometimes sassy pup to Sit Means Sit to get some guidance/training to help with her reactivity issues. I am not kidding when I say that the change that happened within the first 10 minutes of training brought me to tears (just ask Jamie, ha!). I now have the tools and support to give my pup the best life here in Bozeman. I cannot wait to continue the private sessions and see her grow into the goodest girl. I am so grateful and could not recommend this team enough. They were very patient with me and all of my questions and I am so glad I found them.

We've been with Sit Means Sit for a few years now. We did the board and train with our 100lb GSD, Odin. He has always been friendly, but was uncontrollable. Wrenching my arm while on leash, was a frequent occurrence. Running to "say hi" to other dogs, and not returning when called was another fun one (no one else thought it was fun - terrifying, was the feedback I got). After the board and train, I was confident in both his AND my ability to go out and not accost the general public. Haha! He was still his friendly self, and yet he listened! I knew how to maintain and regain control at any time. What a relief!Then... we got a puppy. I knew most of the things from our previous experience, but knew that both pup AND I needed some more learning. So we did Puppy Preschool and then through x4 private lessons. Not only were we able to learn the things together, but Odin was able to come along for some refreshing! Training the two together was actually VERY helpful. Our puppy, Freki, is the BEST boy. He comes everywhere with me off-leash. I trust him fully, in any situation.I LOVE MY BOYS!Thank you SMS, for giving my boys and I the tools to be the best we can be for each other! It's not just about the dog. We as humans have much to learn! If you love your fur babies too, I HIGHLY recommend SMS.

I didn’t know what I was missing out on! My lab was a terror until we started training. She used to have the worst separation anxiety to the point where she couldn’t even be left in a kennel. I would have to padlock her kennel but even then she would flip her kennel over to escape and then destroy my house. I would also get so frustrated on walks because she would pull on the leash so hard and trip me up. After we trained with Sit Means Sit Means Sit she’s a whole new dog! She loves her kennel, she walks beautifully on leash, and we can even go on off leash walks where she stays in a perfect heel. She’s still her crazy self but I can control her and keep her safe now, and we have so much fun!

I would be lying if I didn't say I choked a little bit when I was told the price of training but that hesitation lasted all of 5 minutes. Ten minutes into our first session I knew it was worth it. When I say worth every penny I mean EVERY. SINGLE. PENNY. The team at Sit Means Sit are professionals FOR SURE. They will blow your minds with the skills they secure. You cannot put a price on professionalism and expertise. I mean they did but you get it.Hey Mister no longer barks at every passing dog, person, car, fly, air. He listens, he stays, he leaves it, and he will stay in his place until we let him "go free". Hey is the goodest dog now and he deserved this training. And we are all better dog parents. Don't walk run to Sit Means Sit, it will be the best decision you ever make for your pup.

Had a great time working with the trainers over at Sit-Means-Sit. We just completed our 4 private lessons for our 1 year old German Shepherd. Came in with some solid groundwork, but these classes really helped drill in the commands and train us on proper use of the E-Collar. The trainers are super helpful and were always available if any questions came up. Would recommend to anyone out there looking for some quality training for their dog as well as themselves.

Just completed my first private lesson with our GSP rescue. Incredibly helpful staff and program. I can already see changes with my dog and really looking forward to completing all his lessons. The trainers are professional, incredibly helpful, and I instantly new this was the program our dog needs. Would highly recommend anyone that is on the fence to go talk to them.

A little over ten months ago I was able to bring my Rhodesian Ridgeback puppy home. Arrow seemed sharp but I could already see the stubbornness every one had warned me about showing even at a young age. I went through Sit Means Sit's puppy preschool and their private lesson program and the entire process was so seamless and easy. Arrow showed drive and understanding very early on and can now do more than I ever expected. The Sit Means Sit gals were so patient and knowledgeable and being a first time dog owner they truly helped me in making sure she was properly socialized and put in a position to succeed. So far she is an amazing adventure dog who was entirely off leash at just 6 months old! I am constantly complimented on how well-behaved she is for an 11-month-old dog! Can't recommend Sit Means Sit Bozeman's time and knowledge enough!!

We brought a new puppy home to an unappreciative 10 year old dog! I knew immediately this was above and beyond my capabilities in knowing how to create peace in our home. I had heard about Sit Means Sit and decided to give them a try. Not only are they expert dog trainers, they train humans to understand and work with their own dogs. I am very happy with the progress my dogs have made and highly recommend them!

Working with Sit Means Sit has been great! The staff was very thorough with my dogs initial evaluation and was clear about what the intentions of our training sessions would be. Sit Means Sit is a well kept, professional and well controlled environment with trusting trainers. After just my first session my dog and I both made major improvements! Jamie follows up after every session with a review of what we went over and how we can improve! I am also able call our trainer anytime if I have any questions or concerns throughout the week!

We are thrilled with the progress Tito made in just 4 lessons. He went from being a reactive dog to having clear expectations to follow. He is thriving and we are too! Thank you Brenna!

My 5 year old dog was being reactive on the hiking trails and has experienced a lot of anxiety during storms and fireworks. We were desperate and came here for help! Our experience has been wonderful and I feel like I have the tools I need to help my dog. She’s improved so much on the trail, and is settling in during loud noises. We look forward to continuing practicing what we learned with air means sit. Thanks for everything!
