I visited Bozeman last June with a buddy of mine and we were looking for something fun to do around the Bozeman area. We found Big Boys Big Toys on Google and decided to rent a couple four-wheelers for the day. The staff was great to work with and the trails were even better. Highly recommend these guys and I will definitely rent from them again next time I'm in the area.

Worst boat rental experience I’ve ever had. Boats beat up and complete pos, but judging from other reviews that’s common place for big boy toys. Trailer came with no ball hitch, which is ok, but not after I specifically ask and was told that it would come with one. Trailer ratcheting mechanism didn’t work at all, making draining, and dropping the boat very frustrating. One of the drain plugs provided didn’t even have a metal washer with it, the trailer connecting prongs were filled with gunk, causing none of the my lights to work. Worst of all, the damn anchor system DID NOT WORK. Anchor system repeatedly failed to hold the anchor when needed, and oddly enough also never seemed to allow the anchor to pull out enough rope. Not having a working anchor system on a drift boat is absolutely unacceptable, and extremely unsafe. Judging by the fact that there was a knot in the rope holding the anchor up when I first picked up the boat, big boy toys was clearly aware of the condition. Unacceptable. Do not rent anything from this place, they do not care about their clients.

*RENTER BEWARE* This outfit has no integrity. I was told a price, rented the RV, returned the RV on a Sunday when they were closed, per their instructions and returned it much cleaner than we received it (and had issues with the toilet). A few days later, after not receiving a final bill for charges, we discovered that we were over charged based on what we were told. I called and talked to the guy we had been dealing with throughout the process (Dean), I explained that he told me one price and we were charged much more and that we never received a final itemized receipt. He said he would look into it. After that, he never answered my calls or returned my voice messages.I then attempted to contact Cruise America and just got the runaround. To this date, I have never received a call back, a final receipt or an adjustment for being overcharged.

Rented 2 newish ATV’s for 2 adults and 2 teenagers for a day in November 2017. Great guys, helpful, friendly and very safety-aware. Equipment was great, safety and recovery gear came with, prices quite reasonable and lots of help offered with local trails. Thoroughly recommend these folks for all sorts of summer and winter equipment! We will be back. Thanks Jeb & Joe!

Highly recommended. Phil and Brian were great. We came in with a broken RV that was not even rented from them. Brian fixed it within minutes. When we told Phil we had not received an explanation about the RV when we picked it up, he offered to redo the tour. He explained all we needed, and even cleaned our windshield. All for no charge. Bith were extremely professional, friendly, and courteous. We will definitely be back.

Attempted to rent a Lund boat for labor day. Called four days ahead to reserve boat for two days and told them I would pick it up at 11 on Saturday. When I arrived to pick it up, he informed me that I would have to have it back by 7am on 2nd day or I would be charged another day, despite me picking it up at 11. After a bit of back and forth, he said he would cut me a "deal" and only charge me half day if I brought it back by 11. I reluctantly agreed because we had planned to do fishing over labor day. When I first saw the boat and trailer, it looked like something they pulled from a salvage yard, all scratched and beaten up. The trailer is too wide for the boat, the bumpers on either side do not rest on the sides of boat, so they had it held in place on the center of trailer with a beaten up ratchet strap. When we hooked up trailer lights, one of prongs was broken, so I didn't have a right turn signal. They said if I got pulled over, I could just tell cops, it was a rental! After looking over boat more, I noticed one of the fishing rod holders was broken. One of the employees went to find a bolt to fix it and never came back. So, after about 45 minutes of dealing with complete incompetence, I exploded and demanded my money back. After having a few choice words with the owner, they refunded my money and I left without the boat. They didn't inform me of the return policy when I made the reservation, tried to charge me $400 for a beat up unsafe rental, and completely wasted my time. I've never seen such unprofessionalism and I will never go back or recommend them to any of my friends.

Rented a car trailer and had a great experience, everyone was helpful and very nice. They made sure everything was functioning before I left. Trailer was great to use, I was able to winch my car into it with no issues. Straightforward, easy transaction. Will definitely rent from them again.

LIERS, CHEATS, FRAUD!!Put a reservation with cruise America and we're told we can pay for our deposit in person while we checked out which RV we wanted. While we were there, we were told there wasn't a price difference, so go with the bigger one. I never got the email saying I put a deposit down. Called Cruise America, they had no record of my deposit. Found out there was a price difference, but if we wanted to switch sizes, then we needed a new reservation. Tried getting my original deposit back and no one knew anything about it. I'd go in person as soon as they opened on Saturday and they wanted me to wait until their rush was done. Asked if I can be called back, no one ever called me back. Explained to cruise America, they wouldn't let me speak to a supervisor! FRAUD FRAUD FRAUD!!! Just called my bank and disputed the charge. Rudest, worst customer service ever.

We rented bikes from this company, we came first thing in the morning upon opening 7am and didn’t have the bikes ready until an hour and a half later. The employees avoided us and hadn’t a single clue on what was going on. Employees were frequently on their phones and avoiding us.We had a great time on the trails however upon returning the bikes no one came to help us.... so when we returned the bikes in good condition we took insurance photos to make sure we would be in the clear of fraudulent claims.Sure enough 24 hours later the company is claiming a 700$ service fee for repair of the perfect condition bikes.Do not go here. This business is a scam.

Rented snowmobiles for the weekend to take up to Garnet trail near Missoula. Supposed to be one of the best trails in MT, and is groomed. Snowmobile broke down 4 miles in, had to walk out at 9pm. Next day we found a person to help us get the broken one down. Long story short Big Boys Toys claims it was our fault because we used it on a trail that "is a little too icy." How are we supposed to know? There were plenty of other people on the trail. Not only did we pay almost 2k to rent the sleds, we had to pay another 1300 to fix damage that was caused by nature?Save yourself the money, AVOID BIG BOYS TOYS. Absolute scam artists.

Do not rent from this company. We showed up at 8am right when the dirt bikes should have been on the trailer and ready for check out. We waited an hour and a half for them to get another dirt bike ready. When we asked an employee for help she literally ran away from us. I tracked her down and asked for help again thinking she was busy and sent be to another employee who had no idea what was going on.After that whole deal we got our dirt bikes and had a great day on the mountain. However when we went to return the bikes at 4:45pm no one came out to check the bikes for damages. Thankfully we took photos of all the scratches on the bikes we rented just in case they tried to claim anything. The next day we get a call at 4:45pm saying a piece was broken for 6 times it’s cost to replace. Do not rent from these guys This is a scam.

I have used these guys before as they are convenient to my location. Called to see if they had a day use uhaul trailer available as they are a Uhaul agent. They asked if I wanted to use theirs instead. Curious, I asked the price. They wanted more than Uhaul did, so I told them I was not interested in paying more for their trailer. Guy on the phone then told me with a rude tone, "keep in mind that uhaul charges about a dollar a mile."I have rented from uhaul many times over the years and never have been charged miles for an in-town rental. Needless to say I went to another local Uhaul spot, and will not doing business here anymore.I don't appreciate being lied to.

Had an amazing experience renting a trailer from these guys. Not only were they incredibly helpful loading up in pouring rain, they were SO cheerful and courteous the entire time! They went above and beyond to make sure we were well taken care of. 10/10 would recommend.P.S. they also let us pet their very handsome dog 😁

My husband and sons recently rented dirt bikes, trailer and gear during our visit to the Bozeman area, and could not have been more pleased with the service and equipment we received. The team at BBT did a thorough walk through of each bike prior to leaving the store and everyone was aware of what damages, if incurred, would cost. Options were given for places to go, and they had a wonderful day of trail riding. Upon return, they did not nickel and dime us for anything. Joe and staff did a wonderful job, and we highly recommend them!

Right while we were in the middle of a snowstorm, our snowblower decided not to start. I called and spoke to a very friendly man named Joe who said that they could pick it up that same day (for a very small fee), repair it (and let us know before any major repairs were needed/done), and deliver it back. We had our fingers crossed it'd be same day turn around but considering it was already late morning we figured probably next day - at best. They picked it up at 1 (again, in a snowstorm, the roads were terrible), repaired it, and dropped it off at 5:30. Outstanding customer service and communication. Very reasonable price. We will definitely be using them for any future needs!

We rented 3 snowmobiles for the day for my father, mother, and sister. We were extremely careful with the rentals and owning a snowmobile myself made sure to take each one of the trailer myself. We went riding the deep powder and only ever tipped the snowmobiles over in the snow over 3-4 feet deep. Upon returning the snowmobiles they said nothing. THEN a day later we receive a call that there was damage on the snowmobiles and that we owed $700 for a snowmobile that had been tipped over on the pavement and badly scratched as well as bent handlebars (which the staff noted was bent before renting to us). We absolutely had no part in the damage done to the snowmobile and went to the shop to speak with the manager. Upon speaking with him we still had to pay $150 for doing absolutely no damage to the snowmobiles. I believe these people rent items and fake damage for more money. Would not recommend unless you want a bill for $700 worth of damage that you did not do.

I rented a drift boat for a family fishing trip on the Madison. As a former drift boat owner I was completely happy with the boat we rented. It does not have much dry storage and the trailer seemed to tow a little rough but otherwise it was well worth the $99 day rental.

Big Boys Toys worked to find me a truck on one of the busiest moving weekends of the season. They were friendly and helpful. Joe loaned me an employee to deliver my truck to my storage as I was by myself from out of state. I had flown in from TX and had limited time to move before returning to work. A very big thank you to Big Boys Toys. I'm a happy camper.

The crew and owner over at BBT are amazing. We have rented trailers in the past from them and everyone was so friendly and helpful. That is especially true when I had a last minute situation come up and didn’t need their c5 car trailer. I was expecting to eat a large fee but they were able to work with me as they figured the could still get it rented and got me out of my rental. I appreciate everyone here and we will certainly be back in the near future! If you are considering any other rental shop in the Bozeman area don’t! Come here instead you won’t find a better rental place in town!

I rented a U-Haul truck and trailer from Phoenix and dropped it off at this location after I was finished with it.The staff (Joe was on shift) do an amazing job of ensuring the customers are taken care of. I had a couple of problems with the trailer I was towing and Joe was able to take of the situation on the spot.Thanks again for the great customer service! Do not rent from them! We had a great time riding in Montana. The rental company was great, until we returned the sleds and they claimed we had done $500 worth of damage on one machine. We rented three sleds. The “damage” they claim was on the snowmobile track. We removed a single 1inch by 1inch piece of the snowmobile track paddle. When we rented the sled it had two damaged paddles, already. It’s normal wear and tear on the machine. The track is the part of the sled that gets the most use throughout the season. They claimed we had done all the damage. The riders all season before us could’ve of helped in the deterioration of the track and we were stuck paying for it. Very disappointed! Do not rent from these people.

Rented two bikes for the weekend. Both bikes had issues immediately after unloading them, one would not run and the other had both a clutch issue and was completely missing a rear brake. When we asked big boys toys about the issues they encouraged us to work on the bikes ourselves and when we returned them they said that we should have fixed the bikes ourselves and that the bikes are old bikes and are going to have issues. Very unprofessional, and after my father nearly had a bad wreck learning that he did not have a rear brake, big boys toys refused to offer an apology when I told them all I am looking for is an apology. If you are going to rent unsafe equipment it's going to catch up to you in a small town like Bozeman. I will not only not be back but I will be spreading the word about my terrible experience.

The mechanics here are great! Super friendly and knowledgeable people. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for parts/information to fix their own snowmobile or get a sled fixed for a better rate than summit or Polaris.

Rented mower for 2 days told them I was paying cash, hit my acct for charges the day BEFORE, got mower went 12 feet- clogged NO exit for grass. No side discharge NO bag provided. Called, after 3 calls-said come back and get "attachment". Went back, no one available to help me.WASTED 3hrs of my time driving/unloading/reloading and 6 trips of my gas. Lawn still needs mowing. NICE
