My young rat was gasping for air. I called caring hands and they got in in for an emergency visit. The doctor (I forgot her name and I'm so sorry) was amazing! Very agressive in treatment and diagnosis. My rat had pneumonia. Dr did an xray and prescribed two antibiotics and albuterol. 24 hours later the my rats health did a complete 180. She's breathing normal and making no sounds. I'm very happy with the service and humane treatment of my little sick companion. Caring hands is very caring indeed! Thank you for caring!

I went to them 10 to 11 years ago when I was concerned with the health of one of my cats. Sadly I could not continue to go with them at the time, recently returned when I had another cats health decline and they have continued to be kind, caring and respectful of each pets needs. This still was present on a Friday afternoon when they were very busy, they did not make me feel rushed at all. Great staff as always. Will continue to take my business to them.

Friendly people, and they tell you what the charges are to let you decide what you need or can afford. They are moving to a new larger facility, so that will be nice, and they are open at least one Saturday a month. That is quite helpful for those of us that work most of the time on weekdays!

I trust them with all my pets. They are caring, honest, and friendly. The staff and doctors are very knowledgeable and have taken great care of my pets. I love caring hands and they truly have caring hands and hearts.

My cat was super sick so I took her in and they told me how much it was going to be. They didn't say I had to pay up front right away. So when I went to go and pick up my cat, they wouldn't give me the prescriptions Or anything it was pretty much just or you cant pay hundreds of dollars right now well here's your cat back if she dies It's on you because you can't pay. They didn't even try and help with a payment plan or or anything . I have always paid my bill on time up front and in full. This one time I couldn't do it. Not the kind of service I want for my pet. OH yeah then when I went to pay they had all these other fees added on that was not discussed. Do NOT like this new management. Will. NOT be going back.

Over the past few years of taking my animals here I never got “ caring hands” Vibes from any of these ladies but wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt . We’re all human and we all have bad days, but when it’s consistently, I will choose to walk away. Especially when it comes to my animals! Having multiple animals, I have spent more than $5000 at this animal hospital. About six months ago, my dog had a lump in her nipple, She had surgery to get it removed and the lump was to be sent in for an exam to see if it was cancer or not. That cost me about 2,000! A month later goes by, and I never received a call whether my dog had cancer or not. ( Every time I called, they didn’t have an answer for me because the “ Veterinarian” had to call me…) calling multiple times with a month going by, I finally get to the point where I demanded my pets exam report And was not going to accept a call back. what took so long caring hands? And giving me false information on the time would take? Not okay. Like I said, we all have bad days, so I forgave them. Taking my other animals in for their check ups, Caring hands had a bird they were caring for… The girls working were SO unbelievably awful to this bird. Expressing to me a customer that The bird was “so annoying”, saying “shut up” to the bird multiple times & laughing at this poor bird, that’s clearly needing their help!! After seeing them, treat that bird that way, and expressing it to a customer that has left their animal alone with them, I definitely would NEVER leave my animal alone with them, even if it was the last pet hospital in Billings!!I was terrified that my dog had to stay the night in the past & was wondering the things she had to go through with them…Three days ago my animals had a vet check up that ended up being $500 dollars, & my other pets, had check up appointment this week. I never once received the reminder text of their appointment ( They’re constantly screwing up the text messages And my appointment times But I’ve always forgiven them). I unfortunately missed the appointment today, I got a call from a lady who worked there, she was so unbelievably nasty and rude, and was demanding I put down a deposit for their next appointments. ( I laughed due to I’ve had to wait hours out in their parking lot with having an appointment because they’re so unorganized )!I gave you guys $500 not even three days ago,But you’re demanding more money from me from an appointment I did not mean to miss, You girls scheduled it wrong And this has not been the first time you have done this. I have looked over your guys mistakes multiple times, Yet God forbid I miss an appointment due to you guys scheduling it wrong and you want to take more money from me. I am very disappointed with the staff that works here. The customer service is disgusting especially when I’m spending thousands of dollars a year with you guys. This hospital is absolutely filthy, and messy as well. If you love your animals, don’t take the risk please, take them somewhere else.

Staff is fabulous and Dr. Herron is the best. We trust these guys completely with our whole menagerie of fur/feathered/scaled children.Plan to wait on hold for a minute when you call, because the client ahead of you is getting the same total and complete focus and patience you'll get when it's your turn.They have compassionate and honest care, and patiently help with nail trims or weight fluctuations, offer great boarding services and are up front about treatment options and costs.Artemis (my lab mix) ate a foam ball at 5 mths old and Dr. Herron acted quickly and expertly based on symptoms of "looking sad and not eating" to find, assess and remove the blockage and a piece of intestine. I think Art knows how much she needed the rescue, and 4 yrs later, still loves going to the vet.

We love Caring Hands!! We met them when we unfortunately had to put our 15 year old beloved dog to sleep in 2023. Oh my gosh, they were so supportive, caring, kind, compassionate, patient, and it felt like they loved my dog too, even though they'd just met her. They treated her with respect and kindness, even after her death. Six months later and we have a German shepherd/bloodhound mix who's 6 months old. She is a rescue from Rez Rescue Montana, and so since she was spayed a little early, she had some...umm...girl problems lol. No need to subject unsuspecting Google users to the details. Lol! Also, Rez Rescue is a great organization, and I am not in any way insinuating that our dog was unhealthy! Just had some issues with her girl bits folding the wrong way from being spayed at a young age, which was necessary. Anyways, we had already decided our new dog would be seeing Caring Hands when we got her, due to our good experience from before with them. We went in for our dog's "girl problems" got the same vet (Dr. Erika Cantamessa, DVM), and she had the same wonderful, caring, sweet, loving nature to her. She's incredibly knowledgeable and takes the time to bond with your pet before she even begins her examination. I can't tell you how nice that is! I won't say who we used to see before we found Caring Hands, but it's a well-known veterinary clinic here in town. They would just come into the room, say hi to us, and begin their examination right away, and our dogs wild be so nervous because this stranger was poking and prodding at them. With Caring Hands, we found that our dog's nervousness was eased by Dr. Cantamessa's naturally-sweet nature, and how she sat down on the ground to meet our girl. She petted her and gave her a treat, and our dog immediately fell in love with her and was wanting her attention over ours, even! We loved it! After that, she did the examination, and our dog had already figured out that she can trust Dr. Cantamessa--so, even though our dog wasn't fond of the exam itself (girl stuff lol), she didn't fight it or struggle, as she knew in her doggy mind that these are good people and it was somehow necessary. After the exam, our dog turned around to Dr. Cantamessa for more pets, like she trusted her and was saying, "I don't know what you just did or why, but thank you for taking care of me!" This veterinary clinic is also VERY fairly priced. Our last vet was outrageously expensive; even for a simple checkup. For the amount of compassion and knowledge this clinic has, we were surprised at the fair pricing. It's an amazing place, who clearly cares more about the animals than charging out the a$$ for services. We will bring all our future pets here, and have told all our friends and family about them so they can consider switching vets, too! Thank you, Dr. Cantamessa and your amazing nurses, too!

I have waited to write a review over this platform. I am still in the midst of having care performed on my pet to get him back to health at another clinic. I am heart broken on his experience. This encounter with Caring Hands has put a toll on my perosnal health, my financial stability, and my dogs health (most importantly). I wish they would have taken my concerns more seriously. I have been going here for probably close to 10years. And mistakes were made on thier part. And then accountability, transparency, communication became the straw on the camles back. Please consider other options for care, knowing that the frequency of these mistakes have become more apparent over the last couple of days. We all make mistakes, but it's what we do after mistakes have been made, is what is important.

Most recently I brought my border collie in to get looked at after being bit on the neck by another dog. They worked us into their schedule same day. She was in rough shape. They took great care of her and kept me in the loop all day while at work. They called me about surgery, drains, and medicine - all in all going to be under $400. They also let my dog stay over night at no charge because the sedative hadn’t worn off and they didn’t want to send her home. We had 3/4 follow up visits to check the drains, remove them, and to check her again (working us into their schedule same day!!!) because there was still a good sized bump - ALL FREE. I recommend you guys to everyone I can. Thank you for caring about our loved ones, and being such a great vet with your focus on the animals and not the $$$!!!

What a wonderful caring place of business! We took my daughters dog there as she was having sudden health issues. They were able to work us in between appointments. Listen to our concerns, answered our questions and help to to stay with in our budget. Sadly we lost our fur baby later that day. But again they were so kind and caring and worked us in again in trying to help us save her. The compassion of the whole staff during this horrible sudden tragedy was so Heart warming. They allowed us all the time we needed to grieve in the moment with our baby. Thank you all so very much! Their prices seemed fair Not outrageous like some. I want to thank them for the wonderful treatment they gave my daughter with her dog! I will definitely be giving them another try for regular care when it’s not such a stressful situation.

I don’t know what is wrong with people but $500+ to put a dog down after it went after the neighbors cat is ridiculous. When I told the that that is outrageous price they told me my other option is to go dump him on the side of the read somewhere…. Wow just trying to figure out options here and this place really doesn’t care about animals unless they are getting their outrageous pay! I’d suggest travel to a small town where they still have to care not only about your animal but also about you as a person!

They have been my fur babies doctors for over 8 years and I am so thankful for them. My dachshund recently passed away and Dr. Herron(I hope I spelt it right) and Anya(also hoping I spelt it right) made me feel very comfortable with the fact that I was going to lose my boy. Anya is amazing. I've never met someone so emotionally involved with my fur baby as I was and to know it was his favorite German vet tech meant the world. We love you Caring Hands. Do not recommend for giant breeds. My mastiff was feared, which is definitely not something you want from a veterinarian. Mastiff’s are a very vocal breed and all the other vets I called all acknowledged this. His vet now, all understand how to handle his breed. It was suggested we give him a sedative before every appointment to “not stress him out”. Honestly, after overhearing the staff call him aggressive and whispering not to look him in the eyes, this was obviously for their comfort. They were not looking after my dogs well-being. After a call from Dr. Herron, I was still willing to give them a try since we’ve been coming here since 2019. Emailed pictures of the lump that concerned me per her request and after 3 months, no response. The lump turned out to be a benign tumor, so glad I’m not still waiting on her response. I should have known better once they started having me give him his Bordetella. My dog goes to day care, has grooming appointments and listens very well, I just don’t think they know how to handle bigger dogs here.

My last visit was in the summer of 2021. The waiting room is pretty small and animals often interact with each other- so not great for animals that hate unknown animals. I also was planning to move abroad with my pet and because of the error of this place, the documents weren't processed in time and a mess was created after they assured me they could take care of it. I contacted them multiple times with plenty of time leading up to the departure and had to leave my pet behind at the airport because they promised to get me all the documents on time but didn't. It was a very sad experience. I wish they just told me the truth of how getting a pet ready to go abroad was just above their abilities instead of promising and not delivering. I've been back in Billings for over a year and I've switched providers because of how poorly that was handled. I originally visited once before and it was a very basic routine checkup that they handled just fine. These guy can do the basics but that was one of the most unprofessional experiences and wastes of my money, I have ever experienced.

I love them! However it is clear that they will not be available to be there when the worst happens. My dog has cancer & I need a vet that will come to my home & put my dog down when he starts to suffer. I need this option so I am in search of giving my dog grace when the time comes. They are also very expensive nurturing my puppy they will throw in complementary nail filling but that’s funny at a price of $700.

I had an initial appointment today for my dog. After dealing with 2 front desk staff that were beyond unprofessional I walked out without even seeing the vet.Update: They called me 35 minutes AFTER my scheduled appointment because they finally realized I had walked out. I understand emergencies take priority, but there was no mention of a wait when I checked in. Also, they are the ones that had called me one day prior to my scheduled appointment and asked me to move it to this time. I should have known the experience would be bad. When I called to schedule my appointment I was on hold for several minutes and the receptionist was rude then. Really good customer service you got there. 👍Update: A rude response and the time of the phone call from them on my phone proves they were 35 minutes late. But no surprise considering it's from this place. What a joke! Take your pet elsewhere!
