This hotel has over the top service and incredibly friendly and genuinely helpful employees - no matter their job. Some of the extra touches which really stood out: The ski valets bring your skis up to lift level, the bathroom has low lighting which automatically turns on when you enter the room in the middle of the night, the hot tub is huge and has a stunning view of Lone Mountain, every restaurant in the Summit has top notch and super friendly service without being intrusive, employees call you by name where possible….I could go on and on. We stayed here during the last week the ski area was open - a time when employees elsewhere might show a bit of “short-timers” attitude. We experienced the exact opposite of that (with over the top service and friendliness) everywhere at the Summit and Big Sky.

We had an absolutely amazing time! First time to Big Sky and we picked the perfect hotel. Staff was very friendly. Rooms clean and spacious. Food and restaurants were nice. The little things that I especially loved was the automatic low lighting in the bathroom as you walked in and the very large hot pool/tub. We can’t wait to come back.

The front desk hospitality service was the worst I have experienced in my years of travel. The bellman staff should work the front desk, as they made the stay worth wild. My wife broke her leg in the middle of our stay. The front desk staff was not helpful in any way. At the beginning of our stay they promised to help in any way we needed. I would think as a ski resort, stuff like this would happy often. But after the accident, there were many broken promises and overall a huge let down on our experience. This was our first time experiencing the Summit hotel in Big Sky. We will not be recommending this hotel to anyone.Other than the bellman, who went above and beyond. Everyone else let us down.

The location is perfect to have access to the resort and easy enough to get to the town village. Rooms were comfortable and the heated outdoor pool was fantastic. The staff was the highlight of the trip- from the front desk staff to all the valets - we were welcomed & assisted with all needs. Zach the valet gave us helpful tips for safety when hiking the area. Robert the bartender is extremely talented & made amazing cocktails.

I have stayed here many times over the past several years. The last time was March 2022 with a room rate of $600. In 2023 they are charging $1500 per night in March. Absolutely do not pay that. Nice hotel but my goodness not worth that rate. Go to another resort where that rate gets you an actual 5 star hotel which the Summit is definitely not.

This place had been such a staple in Big Sky over the years. Unfortunately the management team has just gone down the drain. There was a spa issue while we were here and they refused to open th pool at 90 while our kids were dying to swim. Gone are the days of customer service and 5 star experience. Tay the manager seemed to not even care about our experience.

We loved our stay. Our comments were;Staff is so nice, everyone is so happy and helpful. The rooms were clean and accommodating. The food was delicious, with good and ample portions. Bellhops/ski hops were very friendly and attentive. What a treat to have someone carry our skis up the hill. The older gentleman breakfast host made it fun. Breakfast servers were the best.Thank you for a great stay. We look forward to returning next year, hopefully, with extended family.Cannot wait to see and stay after room renovations (The rooms now are great, but excited for the future updates to be completed)Sent from my iPhone

The location is fantastic and a huge selling point, but there are very few good things I can say about this place. The rooms are outdated and the majority of the furniture is worn out, however the rooms are big .. if that's something you need. The breakfast is complimentary, but you definitely get what you pay for .. so a free breakfast comes with zero (and I mean zero) service. 4 days in a row, We would order breakfast at the Peaks and not see our server again until the food came. No water or coffee refills, not even a "Can I get you any salt or pepper etc ...". My food came with a check to sign and what felt like a "hurry up and eat so we can move the cows through the trough". The transportation staff is top notch. We were very impressed with the efficiency they displayed getting us to and from our dinner reservations and excursions. The pot stickers in the Carabiner Lounge were excellent, probably ordered 10 servings throughout the trip. The cleaning service and in room service is atrocious, and if you call down in need of an item .. it may or may not show up. We actually had to call down for toilet paper (yeah..) because the cleaning staff failed to replace it. When I say we had to call down, we actually had to call down twice, you would think that would be an item that someone would get right on .. nope. I got engaged on this trip and would like to come back because Big Sky will inevitably carry a significance in my life forever , so if they can improve we would do so, I just don't see it as a premium experience as it is billed at the moment, plenty of other ski in/ski out options in the country will jump ahead of taking this vacation again.

The place could not be more conveniently located, the staff has been very attentive (maybe too attentive) and the rooms are gorgeous with the most storage space of any hotel room I’ve ever stayed in. All of this could not overcome the paper thin doors between our room and the adjoining one. There was a young family next door and it sounded like they were in my room. It’s perplexing that they would invest so much money in this hotel and leave this critical detail unattended. The front desk clerk laughably explained that the hotel is 25 years old and the walls are getting thinner. Also, the climate control leaves much to be desired. If you stay here, bring ear plugs.

Came here for conference. Bed was Murphy bed and it's mattress was quite uncomfortable to sleep. But the room has nice mountain view. The restaurant here was one of the worst services. I left without my breakfast which I ordered over 50 min ago and manager of the restaurant did not address this.Add. Hotel management addressed the restaurant issue and their service was much improved next day.

Who in hell has music going over all the loud speakers at 6AM? The entire village had the most horrible music that started at 6AM and lasted for an hour.Add in the 2AM helicopter flights they have going and this place is worthless. Who is making these decisions at this place? What a joke.

Where to start. How about the women who work at the concierge desk are amazing!! Any issues that we had, and there weren't many, were taken care of in a timely manner. The rooms are great, beds, pillows, views, can't be beat. The breakfast is terrific and there is def. something for everyone. Walk out to ski in the morning and the people working at the ski corral are beyond helpful. The restaurants in the hotel are all great. Try the fish tacos, you won't regret it. This year will be our 3rd consecutive stay. We use to go to Snowbird and stay at the Cliff Lodge, but no more.

We had a great stay! Service was nice and helpful, and the rooms were very comfortable. We were on a skiing trip, and the ease of skiing in and out was a big plus. Ski valet people were always nice and helpful. One complaint I have is the Wifi, which was really slow almost all the time. The single wifi network is open to anyone at Big Sky resort, which made it really slow. I think it’d be great if the hotel had its own network for people staying there! Other than that, we had a great stay!

My family and I cannot Say enough great things about The Summit, and it’s staff. We hotel hopped throughout Big Sky because we came here on a whim with nothing planned or booked, and stayed in the majority of what we considered to be “nice” hotels, and the summit has taken the cake in so many ways. We ended up cancelling the reservations we placed as safety nets with other hotels, and kept coming back to the summit, night after night instead. The staff has been effortlessly, and amazingly helpful and incredibly nice! The amenities of the condo room with kitchen and living is all the difference in the world, especially when traveling with kids. Will recommend over any other short term place to stay in big sky to any and all family, friends, and strangers planning a trip to the Big Sky area!!! Thank you so much to the staff and team at the summit during our stay!! Y’all have truly been over the top kind, welcoming and wonderful!!!!

Spent 2 days here. The views of the mountains was fabulous. There was a major reconstruction going on and the nearest parking lot for the hotel was about 1/2 mile away or for $15 a day you could use the valet parking. After parking in the available lot and walking back to the hotel and having to have to go back to my car, I opted for the valet. Getting to any of the events at the other areas and The Huntley was difficult because there was no clear path to the areas. Walking back to the hotel after dark was sketchy because the makeshift path they had made was through a grassy area that had no lighting. I loved my room, the burger I had in the restaurant was very very good as we're the fries. The people working there were top notch. Always friendly and helpful.i enjoyed the whirlpool and I could see how in the winter that would be great. I will be back next year and I hope they have the parking situation taken care of. For as expensive as this place is I would expect not to have 4th rate parking or at the very least a shuttle to and from the back lot.

Great location. Thats it. Worst customer service I've experienced at any ski resort. One or two exceptions but rude staff pretty much across the board. You're made to feel as an inconvenience. Very limited options for food and drinks as well as limited menus at all. No priority given to guests staying at hotel either. Rooms are horribly outdated but renovations are coming. The staff all need some customer service training.

We checked in around 8 on Friday, the service seemed good. The room was very nice.. We had valet park our car and the next day went to get my sunglasses out of my car and all I got was a case with no sunglasses. When I told them someone stole my glasses I was met with you had to have misplaced them. Management at the front desk did nothing. They have 0 accountability at this resort. For a resort of this stature I would have thought they would have security cameras. What ever you do, do not leave anything valuable in your car guaranteed it will not be there when you go to look for it. 5/30/19 update. In my opinion the mark of a great organization is how they deal with problems and I have to say the the Ownership and Management team at the Summit have responded quickly and have done a great job . They got back in touch with me and gathered more information having to do with the problem and made it right. Anyone in business today understands things can happen and how you take care of it really says a lot. Ownership and Management at a the Summit resort deserve and get 5 stars from me on this. Thank you !

I get that the Summit is the flagship accommodation at a world class ski area. As such, it is of course going to be expensive. Unfortunately the Summit seems like its expensive just to be expensive. Its hard to not feel like you overpaid. That said, the service is outstanding. You can sense that they have truly great team. I hope the owners upgrade the facility to match the exceptional staff they have running it.

Beautiful accommodations, with convenient ski in/out access, pool, ski valet, restaurants. Close to everything important here. Only downside is that they practically force you to use valet parking because the parking lot is so far away.

Room is big. Good size kitchen. Nice large sofa bed. Comfortable mattress. No water bottle provided, which is quite rare for such an expensive hotel. Nice warm pool and whirlpool. Steam room is quite clean but not hot enough in my opinion. The breakfast selection and quality are quite nice. Service is good except for the cleaning service, which is not as thorough as we liked. Every shops closed early around 5-6pm. Very inconvenient for travelers.

Awesome hotel with great employees they are all so friendly and quick to respond. I recommend staying here for your family vacation it is right on the slope and has some of the best restaurants in town. Right on the slope ski in and ski out. Not to mention the bar men/ bar bells at the front are amazing and some of the most friendly people. They give great honest reviews and are always willing to help out. I honestly enjoy talking to them every morning they are very down to Earth. The hotel though should be buying there cowboy hats tbh they deserve it. Bar also is fantastic get Joe or Casey they are super friendly and amazing bartenders!

The hotel is ran more like a timeshare. The front desk is kind, but if you ask any kind of question outside of normal check in they can’t really handle or know how to answer.
The room was big, but needs updating. The furntire was old and dresser drawers didn’t open well or were broken.
At breakfast they get very jammed up and have a hard time seating people even if there are many empty tables.I had an issue where our skis were misplaced, and no one really wanted to help us except for the manager Derrick who was very kind. It’s the only reason I give the hotel another star

Best 🎿 in 🎿 out location in Big Sky! Luxurious hotel with great food options and the best mountain jacuzzi I have used. Get in where it's warm and walk out in the water to the outside. Full bar service available too from the jacuzzi! Rooms are large with great bedding.. .. Only underground garage in the resort so your car is always warm and ready to go... Always helpful ski valet and bellman at your service to help you with your needs...Take the plunge and discover Big Sky...
