Just returned home from my second trip to The Wilson in Big Sky and I LOVED it! The hotel is well located in town center (a short shuttle ride to the mountain) and the breakfast included really helps get you on the slopes early. The best part though was the staff! Brandon, one of the shuttle drivers, and Russell, the captain of the team at the front were both awesome and really made the trip special. From being super helpful, to great conversations on the way to and from the mountain (and the Riverhouse) to just being all around great people - they made the trip extra special and made the hotel feel like home. I am looking forward to my next trip to The Wilson and hope they are both around then too! Thank you!

Second time here, first time in summer second time in winter. Nice extras such as crafts for kids, hot chocolate in the afternoon, board games, heated outdoor pool and shuttle service to the ski area. Plenty of comfortable lobby seating to sit by the fire to watch football while having a beer. Great walking path behind the hotel and through the trees. Very friendly, efficient and hard-working staff during breakfast. The breakfast changed daily and had sausage and biscuits, French toast, GF options, extra toppings for the coffee, etc. We would like the pool to stay open later; 10pm is early for a vacation spot. It's also very pricey, with no breaks and no upgrades even for Bonvoy Elite gold members.Walkability: Right in downtown Big Sjy, accessible to shops, restaurants, BASE for fitness, walking trails.

Easy to park right in front, clean comfortable lobby with free coffee all day. Included breakfast was very good. We drove to Big Sky free daily parking, less than 15 minutes on a dry day.Walkability: Plenty of restaurants and great clothing outfitters walkable. Public ice rink as well.

EVERYTHING was great except the hospitality from the front desk staff. They never ever acknowledged my presence and simply smiled at me or said hi or good morning/evening. I stayed there for six nights and they were extremely nonchalant, except the lady with the red hair, she was cool.Every other staff department was cool and conversational (kinda, not really). The bell boys up at the summit and huntley blow these donuts at the front desk out of the water with making you feel welcome. The people in big sky are so hit n miss its sad. This is Montana, c'mon. Get with the program.Lastly, this is for corporate, the gym is so meh. Theres something like ten cardio machines and a rack of free weights... thats it. Throw a cable tower in there and a couple other weight machines and get rid of a few treadmills or bikes! At least get a pull-up bar. People can get their cardio skiing or hiking. C'moooon.Usually, I stay at the summit but I wanted to switch it up - no more. And I live over in Dillon so I'm not just a one-time tourist.

Great location and clutch heated pool, wish I’d brought a bathing suit. Breakfast was alright, nothing special but they did have gluten free muffins and bagels. Not many vegan options however.Main reason for the three stars is that our room felt kind of dusty.Rooms: Feels really dusty, my allergies were crazy

This is an upscaled Residence Inn. This large hotel is well decorated and very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast on the first day of our five day stay defiantly fell short of expectation, but the rest of the four days were fine. The food was about the same, but on the first morning, the food was left out for way too long, the eggs, the sausages and especially the hash browns were hard and chewy and not very warm. Other then that, we had a really good stay while visiting Yellowstone National Park. There were several excellent restaurants within a very short walk from the hotel and it even had a real good restaurant right on the first floor of the hotel. The whole place gave a very good vibe and should be considered by people who are visiting Yellowstone, which is about a hour away from the West Entrance Gate.

We spent our honeymoon/Christmas at Big Sky and we loved our stay! Trey, front desk attendant, was superb! He worked with us to provide the most amazing experience for our special weekend! The location is great, with multiple restaurants and bars within a short walking distance and a market just across the street. The hotel is also dog friendly and maintained excellent cleanliness. Sometimes dog-friendly hotels smell like a dog but not this one! The bartender Bayley, was also exceptional! Overall, we cannot wait to return and stay at this hotel again! Highly recommend!

This is a new Marriott hotel that recently opened. It is close to everything in Big Sky and offers first class accommodations. It is built in the center of a new shopping district that offers many different restaurants, shops and a grocery store. The rooms have a kitchenette and everything smells new. Great place to stay.Walkability: Many shops and restaurants within a 2 block radius.

Room is clean staff Ray and Bree were excellent.Breakfast is super and the staff at Breakfast were extremely accessible if anything extra was needed. The lobby is wonderful and so is the game room. Some updating is needed in the game room but nothing to drop a star.Laundry on site is a plus.I have stayed here multiple times. One negative for the hotel guest to look out for is the locals have figured out the hot tub is basically free to get into so they crowd it use it freely. This has happened on each travel I have stayed here.

This is a very nice hotel. The location is great, the rooms are nice, and the staff is very friendly (shoutout to the bartender for making the best margarita I've ever had); however, the shuttle service to the ski base needs restructuring. I know it's a new resort and some things are still being figured out, but the experience is currently very frustrating. This hotel has a lot of potential, and I'm hopeful they can tie up the loose ends to become a great option for Big Sky visitors.

We found ourselves temporarily without lodging. Trey at the Wilson Hotel helped us out and got us a couple of rooms at a reasonable rate. He was patient, gracious and accomodating. The Hotel was perfect and a great spot if you want and easy trip to Big Sky. With ski storage, two restaurants, Bars and shuttles to and from the mountain, this is a convenient place to stay.

We booked with the Wilson without knowing anything about the area. Dylan was able to help us so much beforehand get things booked such as Yellow Stone tour, horse back riding, airport transportation, and answered all of our questions. He also was able to take us where we needed to be with the hotel shuttle. The entire staff was nice and helpful. Very nice bunch and Dylan was super nice. The breakfast was good. Pool and hot tub were heated, I highly recommend staying here!

The first impression was very good, everything in the room was very clean and nice. The only thing I don't like is the room service, they didn't come until the third day, they just made the beds change towels and took the thrash out, but they didn't even clean anything, the table, the floor, the bathroom and everything else were duty as the way I left it. Also, they have to check out the sink pipes, since the water gets stuck very easily.Food & drinks: The restaurant's food in the area it wasn't that good, and it was very expensive.

This is a beautiful brand new hotel, very stylish, and in a great location in the Big Sky center near the shops and restaurants. The rooms are beautiful and spacious with a small kitchenette, and a large and very clean bathroom. The breakfast is ok, typical for a Marriott chain, not the best. They have a great hottub and heated pool area, it is very luxurious and it has wonderful views with the surrounding mountains. There is a shuttle that takes you from the hotel directly into the ski resort and picks you back up when you are ready, call them.Overall, a beautiful place that I highly recommend.

We recently stayed at The Wilson for 6 nights, the stay was absolutely fantastic! The hotel was clean and had all the amenities we needed and more. The king bedroom was large, with a kitchenette, and had a beautiful view of Lone Peak. The hotel has a well equipped fitness center, outdoor heated pool and hottub. Breakfast is served daily in the lobby and had a good rotation of hot and cold food (even after 5 days). The hotel is in a great location with multiple restaurants, bars and shops within walking distance. Big Sky Resort is about 10 minutes away, there is a daily shuttle running to the mountain, however space is limited. The front desk staff was super friendly and helpful. Our check in process was quick and efficient even though it was clearly a very busy day.If you're looking for a place to stay in Big Sky, this is it!

Hats off to Grace and Sean at the front desk. These two employees really know how to exhibit exceptional customer service. You can see that they really like what they do and that is passed down to the customer. My room was perfect upon check in, including a roll-a-way bed was in the room as promised. Grace even came through to help when my vehicle got stuck in the snow when climbing up to the resort. Perfect resort in an ideal location. Great experience all the way around. Thanks for keeping the Marriott name such a powerful hotel chain!!! Tom

The Wilson/Residence Inn was a big disappointment. We knew the hotel was in town, but we were not expecting to it to be situated smack in the middle of a parking lot (our bad; should have dug deeper). The “stunning” rooms, and even the location were not worth the price point. The views of Lone Peak from our room were beautiful if we looked past and above the cars and the main road (Montana Highway 64). Sitting on the balcony, which we were looking forward to, was pretty much a bust due to the never ending traffic noise. The king suite is on the smaller side for a suite, but it is sparkling clean and works well for two people, though oddly, it is missing a desk, coffee table, and side tables (would be nice to have one or the other). The bathroom is larger than standard with tons of hooks and towel bars. The half door on the shower is a disaster with water overflowing onto the floor. Who comes up with such a stupid design! The lobby is impressive with nooks and crannies and places to hang out. The hot tub is luke warm, but the fire pits make up for it. The breakfast buffet offers a good variety of hot and cold breakfast options (the better old style Marriott breakfast, not the pre-packaged new style).Customer service is fine unless you run into a snafu, which we did, twice, and which the front desk staff did not know how to handle in a gracious manner, other than to smile. Don’t get me wrong; smiles are nice, but they do not provide a solution.Considering all of the above, this so called “luxury” hotel, for the price point, is not a Marriott that we will be returning to.

I love this hotel! Beautiful and well maintained. Well appointed with great amenities. Friendly staff. Pool is nice and kept very warm! I also appreciate how well the layout was designed for the rooms. Lots of stuff in the rooms without seeming crowded and stuffy. Everything was in excellent condition.Lastly, location is really great. Walk out the back, and you are at the town center where you can shop, eat, and drink.

5 stars for nice building and room. One star for the nearby restaurant selection which is poor if out of season. Like $15 burgers or $50 Thai. The hotel's own restaurants were closed but the desk clerk misled me or was misinformed about that. If it's not snow season, you will probably have to drive or starve, and even then there isn't much to choose from that's open.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Wilson!! We stayed for several months and couldn't have been happier with our stay.Everything was fantastic, rooms are spacious with kitchens and full size refrigerator dishes and cookware as with most residence inn's, beautiful nature and trails surrounding you, and groceries a walk across the street, but what really sets this hotel apart is the amazing staff, that are like a big family always smiling and truly a pleasure to talk to and genuinely nice awesome people so helpful and accommodating, they will be truly missed, so sweet and loving with my baby (my 80 lbs doggy) I really can't say enough good things so I'll just end with Thank you all so much for the wonderful stay we hope to be back on another journey!

Great location. Beautiful hotel. Not sure what some of the reviews mean by it being run down. Great hot tub/heated pool area... Some rough customers, as the constructions companies and resorts put a lot of fly by the night customers up here. Another down side is usually Marriott does a happy hour and have a nice bar... This is the 3rd Marriott in two months I've stayed at that "isn't using their bar due to covid" but I've stayed at two other Marriott in the last month that are using their bar as normal. Very hit or miss for such a "prestigious" company.
