This lodge is amazing and is located just perfectly. It is also pet-friendly, which is a huge advantage. The staff is attentive and friendly. The pools and hot tubs are fantastic, and it’s amazing to be in a hot pool when the weather is cold. The rooms are good. The breakfast was amazing, probably one of the best that we had in similar destinations. One issues we faced was poor sound isolation, since everything can be heard through the walls and ceiling. Other than that everything was wonderful.Walkability: The mountain is right outside the door.

This place is awesome, perfect ski lodge. Rooms are newly renovated. Comfortable beds, nice bathrooms. Right next to the slopes, ski-in/ski-out. Solid 3 star in an unbeatable location. Cookies and hot chocolate in the evening. Evening events like movie nights and wine tastings. Friendly bar. Even though it was pricey in the on-season, definitely felt like it was worth it for our first time in Big Sky. Hope to be back next season.

The location is great, and that's what you pay for. The staff is kind but they are generally understaffed given the size of the hotel. The rest is disappointing and definitely not worth the price. The entire building is old, breakfast is disappointing and we had to wait 20-30 minutes every morning just to get seated. The cleaning staff don't make up the beds properly and don't vacuum the carpet. There is also nothing to do in the evening, aside from some old movies. Overall not worth the price and we won't return.

Really close to runs so qualifies for ski in/out. Very old bones despite numerous upgrades. That means you hear people next door and above. Get the top floor. Prices are top end all over.Rooms: Modernized for sure. Feel good. Pillows are lower end and small. Parking is weird. And the early morning trucks and snow plows are loud.Nearby activities: Skiing and more! Mountain biking in summer.

Insensitive management thinks about their business first and not the customer experience. We skied in some terrible skin snow that nobody warned us about, ruined our skis, cut our vacation short and when asked for a potential partial refund management laughed at my wife with a condescending attitude saying our nights are non refundable. I get there are some policies and we weren’t expecting a full refund but being laughed at for a bad experience really put us of - we won’t be coming back that’s for sure

Our room was nice there was plenty of space. I appreciate that there was a place to hang jackets and stash shoes. Wish there was a little more kitchen space in a room this size, we are in a huntley queen loft . We used the sitting area very little so that could be used for kiychrn or an actual patio or fireplace space , something to make the room nicer.I wish it had a microwave init instead of down the hall . Love the staff. They spoiled us. They were amazing with my daughter and had a surprise for us for valentines day.

Loved having greeters at door.Main Huntley building is too old should be raised and rebuilt rather than remodeled. The Elevator way too small and no ventilation.Women’s Bathroom by elevator across from ice and vending machines - no ventilation and hot like a sauna.Hallway third floor leading to rooms - no ventilation - too dark - floors thin and creak loudlyRooms - AC old & Very Loud that TV Volume has to be adjusted when the AC runs. Our AC unit had to have maintenance come up - remove it - drain the water that dripped all night.Bathroom - stench (sewer stench) came up from shower drain. Maintenance had to be called again to room and pour chemical down drain. The airflow in rooms was very poor - needed ability to run fan bc you couldn’t open window.Microwave - no microwave in rooms - big mistake.Refrigerator- way too smallSpace - poor use of space in room. There were 3 useless shelves above tiny refrigerator unit. Could have removed these and placed a microwave and taller refrigerator. But maybe Big Sky purposely omits these two useful appliances to push people to spend $30-$50 dollars for breakfast.Big Sky is ridiculously overpriced.Service people at front desk not friendly but it’s probably bc they aren’t comfortable in their roles - certainly not knowledgeable. Very frustrating. Also, communication gap with a couple where English is 2nd language.Colorado and many other states to vacation.

Excellent ski in ski out hotel. Nice breakfast but they could work on their breakfast service set up.Food & drinks: In terms of location, if you want to have restaurant food for dinners, expect to drive 10-25 minutes. It is good to have a car here.

Location is prime - 5 stars! The place is old and it shows. Yeah, there’s new sinks in the bathroom, but everything else is just old. We are on the 2nd floor and for some reason they decided to put dogs on the 3rd floor. We can hear their every move and when they bark, it sounds like they’re in our room. The barking dogs went on for 30 mins one evening. Parking is not convenient as you have to trek 5 mins, including 2 flights of stairs. The wifi is mediocre and really hit and miss. The hot tubs were great, but the jets were not working. Pool is 90°, which is great! The food is ok, but expensive. Nice employees and the free lift tickets are a great bonus. Probably will choose one of the nicer places next time we are in Big Sky. This place needs work and put all the dogs in one area, or don’t allow them.

Awesome facility and staff.Things that you need to be aware of if you go during ski season: 1. reserve a humidifier ahead of time or you won't get one and 2 the plan the time your are going to the included breakfast to beat the crowd (the line to get a table was the worst and sometimes the food was low). The breakfast was all delicious though. One of my favorite parts of the Huntley was the sunken lobby area. The staff made sure the fire was always gorgeous. Our group met a few nights there where we played games and had a great time.Kudos to HARLEY, JORGE, MEDELLA, ANNA (our housekeeper) !!!

This is an older building that they have done maintenance on and it feels very comfortable. The valet are ON IT and helped with the overall feel of confident efficiency with friendly service. They did an excellent job getting doors and helping everyone come and go.The coffee shop was less welcoming upon arriving. Nice space. I'll keep an eye on it over the remainder of my stay. The Chet did not disappoint for dinner or the breakfast buffet. Service was excellent and the food is so delicious.

Stayed at this hotel a month and an half ago for a job in big sky and firstly they didn’t have my room for me which was very inconvenient because I needed somewhere to sleep. Upon driving back home I realized I had forgot my new swimsuit in my room, so I called and they had me fill out a lost item report, the same day fyi. Never heard anything back from the hotel so I put another lost item report in about a week later. Still nothing and I know they had to have seen my swimsuit as they were cleaning my room out so 1 star service for me.

We had a lovely stay at the Huntley and a huge part of what made it such a good experience were the employees. Jake Baker was professional and efficient, all while making us laugh and feel at home. Nick O went out of his way to make sure we were taken care of, going above and beyond to make us feel like priority guests. Carter and Jake C were quick to assist with anything we needed. Keaton and Brooke were wonderful! Moya and Karina were also very helpful, making sure any and all requests were handled seamlessly.I appreciate the level of service the above mentioned employees showed us during our trip. It really makes a difference when the staff is so great! I highly recommend the Huntley for anyone looking for a hotel in Big Sky.

Upon checking in, we requested a room with a nice view and were denied. The staff seemed overwhelmed by the Yellowstone closure, which sucked for us since we already planned on being up in Big Sky. No breakfast, no discounts for anything. The front desk person let us know we got free scenic lift tickets but that the lifts closed at 4….we arrived at 3:35. We left our bags and car at the lobby and went over to concierge to get our tickets. The printer wasn’t working so they sent us across to another lobby area who let us know that the lifts don’t close until 4:40. The scenic lift was the best part of the stay. We finally went to our room and needed to shower for an event but we had zero towels in the room. The floor was dirty, the bed had stains on it and the shower had bugs (both dead and alive) in it. The blow dryer also did not work and there was only one working outlet in the room. I paid about $250 for one night and I was very disappointed. The advertisement photos for this place are EXTREMELY misleading. Not luxurious in any fashion. Would not stay here again.

I recently stayed at the Huntley Lodge in Big Sky for 4 nights. I was here for a work conference and if I am being honest, I was nervous to come here because of all the recent bad reviews. I am happy to share that I did NOT have a bad experience. My room was updated/modern and very clean. The staff was helpful and kind and I overall thought it was a excellent stay. You also can't beat the location. I would definitely return - a lot of the hotels are experiencing staffing issues & I think many who stayed here in the last few months probably caught the bad end of that. Thanks for a great stay in Big Sky!

Really nice accommodation, the rooms have been recently remodeled and are really nice. They also have a ton of general areas where your group can hang out in front of a fireplace on a comfy chair or couch. It's located within a 5-minute walk of the main lift area at the base of the mountain as well.Rooms: Rooms have been recently remodeled on the second floor and are very nice.Nearby activities: Well most people come here for the skiing there's tons of other activities around here to keep your busy on your days off.Walkability: You're within a 5-minute walk of many different restaurants, bars, and activities.

Unfortunately this hotel manager at check in has the worst customer service I’ve experienced. Not a friendly welcoming upon check in after a long travel day. I booked a queen room back in November, they gave me a “complimentary” upgrade to a handicap king room on the first floor. When asked to be put back in the queen room, it was awkward and uncomfortable. Although I was able to get back to the queen room after a lot of back and forth drama, it was handled extremely unprofessionally. Super disappointing but thankfully they have cowboys here to brighten the scenery.
