Had a fantastic time. The food was good but was light on condiments and even glasses for the soda. The server was busy but did a really good job of keeping up with everyone. It was father's day and the place was packed. The pig races was a ball. Spent 3 hours watching and betting and even won a few races. Everyone was having a great time and in a great mood. The staff did a great job of leading the crowd with fun and respect for those around you. I was very impressed with having a crowded place, alcohol, and lots going on, and not one bump from another patron went without an "excuse me" or "I apologize". I can truly say me and my family was happy to spend our father's day dinner and time here. My highest recommendation to stop in and have a good meal and a blast with the pigs! Thanks for the great evening to all the staff!Kid-friendliness: Lots of kids and they had just as much fun as the adults.

Found this incredible place after site seeing on the Beartooth Hwy. The bartender gave us the history of the restaurant when we asked. They raise money by having pig races it’s unique. We had the King Crab and it was hands down the best we have ever had and we have tried multiple restaurants. We even joke went to Montana to have the best King Crab. If your in this area stop by. When you pull up you can smell the steaks being cooked.

What an amazing experience just outside of Red Lodge. If you're in the area make sure to stop by Bear Creek Saloon. My initial expectations weren't high but wow, I was mistaken. My ribeye steak was cooked and seasoned to absolute perfection. Our server was very kind and made sure to check on our table on multiple occasions. This meal easily is up there with some of the finer steak houses I've visited. The pig racing out back is definitely an added bonus. Don't forget to buy your square and help contribute sending local kids to college.

Went to the pig races for a birthday party while visiting family. The bison steak was absolutely delicious. He'll salad was a surprise and also good. Great selection of local, domestic and import beers. Pig races were fun, drinks and food were pricey, but...tourism, and really it was good food all around, and it's really the only bar/steakhouse around. Good experience.

A wonderful and fun place for a unique experience! The whole family came and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. It does get pretty busy and crowded inside when the betting for the pig races begin. The menu doesn’t have much in the way of kids options, but we made it work! Overall, the experience is worth it and brought some healthy laughs for the whole family. Make sure you get a reservation as it fills up quick!!

Found this place online after visiting the nearby National Parks and did not disappoint, a real gem of a place. The bar area was very authentic / original, the staff were all super friendly and all went out of their way to make us feel welcome also explaining the history of the place. Didn't have a reservation but fit us in no problem, good selection of beers and we all had the bison steak which was great. Only disappointment was that we were on a tight schedule and didn't have time to stay for the pig racing. Would definitely recommend even if a little out of your way!

This area is pretty isolated and this place is the only bright spot in the area. However it draws people from all around, like us. Food was good not great but tasty. Observing the COVID standards well. Big draw is PIG RACES!! Pig the right pig and you may wLk away with some cash in your pocket like I did. All proceeds go to support local scholarships for local kids which is awesome.

PIG RACING 🐷 MUST DO WHEN IM MONTANA! This was one of the funnest, funniest and wildest things I’ve seen at a bar. If your anywhere near this saloon then look it up and get over there! Make bets at the saloon or amongst your friends and come out like a champ betting on these speedy piglets 🐖

Requested medium well steak that was on the rare side, almost too much so, but the flavour was good. It is extremely loud in the dining room and got more so as the evening went on….couldn’t really hear my husband talking. The service was good but it is a very busy place so they don’t really encourage you to sit around and have a second drink or dessert.

The food and our waitress was perfect. We enjoyed watching the pig races. The lady who was the hostess was completely rude to us telling us we had to hurry up and put our food order in. She was not hospitable at all. She told us we had to order for the group who was all watching the pig races, and who have not arrived yet. We asked her how do you expect us to order for people, we don't know what they want. Then she threatened to give our table away. She said other people were waiting for that table, which was a lie.

My first experience here went like this…Arrived 15 min early for our reservation and were told we’d be seated in 15 min. Nearly 35 min later we were seated.After waiting nearly 8-10 min our waitress brought us a water carafe and no glasses. We ordered at this time- fearing we’d likely not see waitress again.Another five to seven minutes and we went to the bar to request glasses.People seated after us were already enjoying salads and dinner rolls.We’ve emptied the water carafe and flag down a different wait staff person for a refill. Our bar drinks then arrive.The dinner rolls arrive. No plates. No condiment (butter and sour cream) basket. After a few minutes I go to the wait stand and ask ANOTHER wait staff person for the condiment basket.Our food eventually arrives. My guests’ sirloin and filet were tasty and tender. My prime rib looked a tad over cooked. Turns out- it was shoe leather and had no taste to it.Our waitress finally stopped to ask how was everything. Told her my cut was tough and to just charge me for the salad and potato and not replace the meat.Children were racing around the dining room unattended (I think the signs they put up all over about not leaving children unattended were just decoration) and bumping into our table and chairs.I’d go back but only for the pig races which were adorable!! I’m definitely not gonna attempt the dining experience again.Yes, they were busy. But! It was ALL reservations- they KNEW they were gonna be busy- so, that is no excuse.

You go here for the pig races and the atmosphere, not the food. The steak was barely seasoned, not consistent in its doneness (everyone ordered medium rare, some got medium, others rare, some actually got medium rare). My baked potato wasn't cooked all the way through and the salad came with a thick, warm, goopy dressing (gag). BUT you can easily stomach all of that for the pig races. They're cute and it's fun to watch them run about. I just hope they're treated humanely.

We ate here on a whim thinking it was a burger joint. We didn’t plan to go to the races because our family had been working all day. We were hungry! We left still that way. We didn’t do steaks because that’s not what we thought we were getting. Everyone had burgers and they came with a bag of chips none of the flavors were offered so my kids didn’t get to chose their flavor. I got a chicken and Greek. Needless to say, if you’re looking for something super filling go on by. This wasn’t it.

I gave a 3 to the food because, we went early and they should have had bison stake. We were very disappointed that it was not even 5 o'clock (they open at 4) and we all were going for the bison stake and they were out already. 😞🙄The waitress took our orders, we added crab legs to our orders. They brought us hot bread and butter, we were waiting for bread plates that never came so we started eating bread and then the waitress came to let us know that they were out of bison stake even though they had about only 3 tables with customers. We were very disappointed 😞. I thought, lets go get buffalo hamburgers in down town. But we were already eating the bread and my daughter asked what else did they have. The waitress suggested ribeye stake.We order 2 and split the plates 1 for my daughter and grandson and one for my husband and I and asked for plates to eat the bread and she brought them.Since there is a $2 extra for the split plate we thought that they were going to bring and extra plate but no, we got the salad on one little plate then the stake and the potato on another plate. So, why they charge $2 dollar extra for? 🤷🏼‍♀️⁉️I asked the waitress for extra plates. She brought us them with no problem.The stake was good though but nothing out of a good stake.
