Was unexpected when we walked here to eat. The older server that was cooking did a phenomenal job on our food. The kitchen was flawlessly clean. Pizza had a brick oven taste, which I love. She was our server, cook and busser. Props to you guysWe will be visiting again one day.

Going through Baker and needed to stop & eat. The only good thing about this place was the casino in the back, but didn't win much off that anyways. The pizza was $11 and it was awful. Just a bunch of cheese topped over ham. I was probably better off buying food from cenex down the block! Would probably try a burger if I came back. Three stars for friendly service!

Excellent burger. Caution they are half pounders so keep that in mind if you order a double.Salad bar is wonderful. Simple lettuce but potato salad, toppings are top notch.

Well here the goodOrdered a wrap. For 11.95. Freaking good loved it. Little small for the price... Good atmosphere. Waitress was friendly and busyBadOrdered a ham pizza to go while I was there. Pizza came back burn all over.. so had it remade. Got the second one and it also was Burt.. not as bad.. waitress said that typical for a pizza. I told no not really and for 12 bucks for a small.. so might want to do some training there or something idk. Got to my truck and I tasted bad not gonna waste my time just won't ever order another pizzaOnly other issue I had was I appeared some friend of the waitress was there and she seems to spend more time socializing with them then doing her job.. given how busy she seemed to be...I would return here.. if I come back here since it seems to be the only restaurant that open at 7pm on a Thursday night..

Food was spot on, chicken strip was fresh/hot and well trimmed. Mac and cheese was amazing! So hot I ate my chicken first.I actually took half my food for leftovers and the next day they were still great.Well done Heiser's. I do miss the broiled Chicken they had on the menu some years ago.The ladies behind the bar, were very attentive and made my visit enjoyable.

Passing through town we we're starving and chose to eat here solely due to a radio ad my husband always hears "best food in Baker". All I can figure is the ad must be a laughing joke in town, because it was hands down the worst food we've ever eaten. There was no possible bit of moisture left to cook out of that sysco burger, and the onion rings resembled angel hair pasta cut into 1 in strips battered, over fried, then slopped in fryer grease. Literally dug through the saturated breading to investigate if there was even an onion in there! While assisting my toddler with his chicken strips I cought myself looking down to confirm that it was indeed chicken, cause some bites you'd swear was a fish stick. On the road again, and my stomach doesnt know if it should attempt digestion, or to purge itself.... honestly would feel better getting this out of my body...Salad bar was decent though, and server was pleasant, but pretty sure Gordan Ramsey would have thrown his arms up, and straight up walked out....

I came in a while ago with a few girlfriends and did not enjoy my experience whatsoever. The food was great, that wasn’t the issue! But the service was god awful. Our waiter was a man in his later 40s probably, hat and glasses. I never caught his name. We originally sat at the bar and had a couple drinks but it quickly became unbearable!! The entire time, all he did was talk bad about working and was sure to let everyone know how much he hated being there. We decided to head outside and wait for our food, and when he brought it to us, that was the last time we saw him!!! He didn’t once come check up on us or bring us refills! Not a huge deal, but I just couldn’t get over how unprofessional and unhappy he was when we were in there sitting at the bar! I plan to come back for lunch soon, but I won’t hesitate to walk out if he’s there again.

My wife and I just stopped there for lunch on our way through. The help was super friendly. I had the tri tips with mac and cheese. The meat was fine. The mac and cheese was the worst I've ever had. The sauce was as runny as water and had no flavor. My wife's burger was fine.

Historic bar and casino dating to the early 30s and with reviews claiming great pizza. We were pumped!The folks were super-nice, beer ice cold, and patio novel and comfortable. But the service was spotty and the much ballyhooed pizza was awful in comparison to the big city Italian pies we’re accustomed to. The steak salad was made with iceberg lettuce (which I detest) not Romaine as the server claimed, and our gizzard appetizer never arrived. Alas…

My husband brought me here for my birthday lunch date. In a small town it’s fantastic to find a place with good alcohol, decent food, and prices. Our bartender/waitress Lisa was amazing! Super fun and made great drinks! Shoutout to the other lady that made my margarita it was good. If you get the chance, try the “Lisa’s tea” it’s SOOOOO GOOD!

I've been saying for over 20 years that Heiser's Bar has the best Pepperoni Pizza I've ever eaten. I was just back in town again last week and that was the first thing I ate. It's still the same great pizza it always has been.

***** owner was unprofessional and rude then told me I was wrong because she messed up an order. ***** would not recommend.I wish I could leave zero stars. I placed an order today. I let the girl know I would be placing a big order and she then tired to send me to a website so I could order online. I called and was already on the phone with her ready to place my order. After I received my food and returned home I realized a meal was missing. I under stand things happen and people mess up but this is where my experience with heisers turned bad. The owner did not like the fact that I said something was missing. I know things happen and people make mistakes but I had paid 115 dollars and tipped them 30. I let her know not to rush on replacing the missing meal because it was lunch time and I knew they were busy. When I returned to the bar she didnt even acknowledge me. She then started to complain that "they didn't even come get their wrap yet" she ended up leaving me a voice mail while I was sitting at her bar so I would know my order was ready. When she finally noticed me she started to say I was wrong and that the whole order was there. I politely told her no it wasnt. She was so unprofessional and rude. I wont be returning here.

I was driving through Baker late at night, passing through town on my way to Medora, North Dakota. While I didn't expect to find great dining in town and well into the night, I was tremendously impressed by what I found at Heiser's. The food was wonderful. I had a hamburger and my traveling companion went for the Philly cheese steak. Both were top-notch. The "onion tanglers" on the side were seasoned and cooked to perfection. Strongly recommend Heiser's for a weary (or just hungry!) traveler.
