Best place to stay near to glacier national park, 10 mins to stmarys and 25 mins to many glacier. Small campground unlike what you see in national park with roughly 20 sites and cabins. For first timer, this would be perfect to try out as you have showers, restrooms near and don’t have to worry on wildlife. Little grocery store, restaurant and bar with needed items.

It is a beautiful place with great people. The water is pure, and the vibes are just right. Don't forget to stop by for lunch or visit the store for that little something special!

Stayed here two nights while exploring Glacier National Park. We came during off season and didn’t plan ahead and the few campgrounds in the actual park were booked so we found this gem just 10 minutes from the exit of the park. They have a convenience store, restaurant, community showers, coin operated laundry, along with cabins, rent camping, and RV spots. All of the staff were kind. Very happy with the heated bathrooms and showers! They are currently renovating but everything is up and running! They have a few dogs and cats on the premise but we didnt mind them at all. We would highly recommend this small campground to others!Restrooms: Woman’s bathroom has 3 showers and 3 toilet stalls. There’s also a family bathroom as well.Picnic area: Each campsite has a picnic table

Very small campground with sites very close to each other. Kind of like an RV park would be. We tent camped and didn't have much privacy. Sites come with small fire pit and picnic table and mostly level spot for a medium sized tent (7x9). The showers are $6 pp for 10 minutes (pay inside the store). There are laundry facilities, a convenience store, and a restaurant on site. Bathrooms were very clean. WiFi available around the building - password was Glacier23 when we visited. One note, there are large dogs (I think I counted upwards of 6?) and two goats (Harry & Lloyd) that roam freely through all campsites. We are animal lovers and have both dogs and goats at home so this didn't bother us, however if you are not into aggressively friendly animals, this may be a very off-putting aspect of this stay.

Triston and Annie were excellent camp hosts. They were flexible with my arrival and easy going during my stay. Both were kind and helpful during that time, Annie even going so far as to pick some berries at a nearby bush for my enjoyment. The site is affordably priced considering the ease of access to the park and it being one of the only camping options for non-tribe members. I highly recommend staying on their site and enjoying a hot shower. It's the perfect spot to overnight before or after a visit to the Many Glacier part of Glacier National Park.

Small place in a remote area (especially in the winter) that also has a convenience store. The food is good and the service was very friendly and accommodating.

There are a lot of campgrounds in this area, some with magnificent views but after a long day cycling against the wind this one had a cafe and grocery store attached to it and I ended up staying. Modest little campground with clean bathrooms and showers. A little cramped tent camping area but fortunately for me there weren't a lot of people that night. I'm riding the Northern Tier Route via bicycle from east to west and this mornings ride was magnificent! Had to stop several times to capture the beauty the best I can with my camera. At the time of writing this, they seem to be expanding so by next year there will be more camping options. I enjoyed my visit. Tent camping sites were a little expensive, but I guess that is to be expected being so close to Glacier.

Camped here for a few nights in August. Only downfall was not much shade at our campsite specifically but we were out hiking in the NP most of the day anyway. All the sites seemed pretty small, too. You can't beat the close location to the Many Glacier area of the park. We loved our short drive in. It was helpful to have laundry services there. The restaurant didn't seem to be serving meals at least while we were there.

Nestled just a stone's throw away from Many Glacier, Leaning Tree Cafe offers more than just a meal; it's a warm embrace. With steaming traditional cafe dishes that comfort the soul and invigorate the senses, this place is a delightful refuge for the hungry traveler. The ambiance subtly complements the natural beauty outside, making every dining moment genuinely special. A definite must-visit for those seeking authenticity and warmth.Restrooms: Immaculate

We stayed at a campground about 7 mins from Leaning Tree. This store is perfect if you are camping, backpacking, hiking, really anything you are doing in Montana. The staff their are very friendly and there is a restaurant within. Food is delicious. We ate here two days in a row. Chicken tender plate was great- salad is amazing, tastes very fresh. Mushroom Swiss burger and fries are yummy too. Not far from Glacier National Park and does not have the tourist prices! Looks to be genuine and family owned even. Down home.

Stay at this campsite! We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived after staying at so many just okay campsites during our road trip. This place is different. Bathrooms are in great condition, showers available for campers 24/7, a 24/7 laundromat, a water spigot for us tent campers, a small store on site that has everything you could need, plus a cafe in the morning. The staff/people running this campground are helpful and friendly and the sites are nice. Not to mention, super close to Many Glacier. Traffic can get a bit loud with the road close but it wasn’t a problem for us. Nothing fancy but EVERYTHING you could possibly need. We hope to come here again!

People were nice the campground was very small and I would not recommend a large camper because the sites are very small. It has 3 showers but one of them was out of order and the other 2 both had stuff wrong with them. It has NO dumping stations. There is 2 dogs and 2 goats that wander around the campground and are nice. But if you're going to glacier and just need a place to sleep it's good.Playground: There is no playground here.Restrooms: It has restrooms.Dog-friendliness: There are dogs wandering around the campground.

HiGreat little find 2 minutes from Babb MT.We were assigned a spot for our tent and got set up.New shower house (2 of 3 stalls open to shower in the men’s), small but well equipped store and a restaurant open year around. The lady running the restaurant is 2nd generation and her son is operating the campground.Very pleasant visit with a down to earth hard working gal. Fabulous breakfast served by our wonderful waitress too.Coffee, espresso and specialty coffees available. We will return.Brad and Tammy

Great spot for hammock or tent camping. Bathrooms were clean with multiple showers. You do have to pay extra for showers but for the location being right outside of the best parts of glacier it's still a great price!

This was a good place to stay near Glacier when unable to get a campsite in the park for the night. There are bathrooms and showers, and a cafe and small store. There are a few trees, but not much effective shade when the temperature is hot. The campsites are very close together in an area similar to a small city park. Staff were pleasant and very helpful; the person who checked me in walked out and showed me where my site was.Restrooms: The restrooms are in a building that also includes the showers. There are a few steps to get up to them. Clean.

The food is home cooked, generous and inexpensive. Hidden gem! Staying at East Glacier for two weeks so they will be seeing us often! Addendum: Ate there for four meals (ended up only staying a week due to smoke) and everything, especially breakfast was excellent!

Paula and crew do an outstanding job of greeting folks to the cafe, grocery store. Don't let the size of the small store fool you they have everything you could possibly want or need! Food is great, coffee and tea absolutely hit the spot!

Peaceful campground and fantastic breakfast served at the restaurant, try the fresh biscuits!!!Only hiccup was my dog's bowl holder magically disappeared in the night. Put everything away at night or you may invite mischievous fairies while you rest 🧚‍♀️🧚‍♂️

The cabin is very nice and cozy. Staffs are very friendly and helpful. The lady bathroom is very clean, spaceful and modern but the water is not hot enough, i felt very cold when i took shower. I hope this could be improved. The only one thing i didnt like about the place is there are too many wild dogs around, before i rented the cabin, i was camping on the ground and i couldnt sleep very well at night because of the wild dogs kept scractching my tent from outside:( and they were some big dogs, i hope the owner know that not everyone is dog person.

Newly remolded showers and bathroom, washer and dryer available. Was easy to find a camping spot even showing up late in the day during peak season. Has everything you need, just off the road. Spots are close together as most roadside campgrounds are but I had a pleasant stay and enjoyed the hot shower in the morning

The owner is very nice. Our cabin was clean and cool. I did know we had to use a bath house for the bathroom and shower, but I did not know there was one shower and one bathroom for the whole campground. I do believe she is working on adding more toilets and showers, the building is in progress, but as of July 2022, it wasn't completed.

Small town diner with amazing food & friendly staff! Asked for crispy corned beef hash & shredded hash browns & was totally happy that I really got golden crispy just like I'd make it for myself!

Nice small campground next to Many Glacier and St. Mary entrance. Glacier campgrounds are always full and you have to wait in line for hours to try to get a spot. This campground was nice, has lots of shade, showers, and a nice cafe for the same price as the ones in the park. Owners, especially Doug and his brother, were super nice and introduced us to some new food from the area. They are remodeling and everything looks great. Cafe had great food for a good price. There is only one bathroom with a shower for women and same for men, but there are plenty of vault toilets. We had no issues and enjoyed our time enough we stayed extra nights. Doug showed us the different wild berries that we could eat on the property and gave us good tips for seeing wildlife in the area. Great people and great spot. Will definitely be back again.

I loved my stay at the Leaning Tree campground! I called to get some info before arriving and the friendly staff picked up right away and answered all my questions.I paid $25 for a site and $5 for a shower which I thought was a fair price for a beautiful, clean and quaint campground close to Glacier national park. There is a small store and cafe on site that offers tasty treats as well as some staple camping gear and foodstuffs. The building is rustic, authentic and clean 👌

The campground is right on the road so cars buzz by all day. They charged me more when I arrived then what they quoted on the phone when I tried to make a reservation. I liked Breaking Bones better.
