We stopped in here on our way to Washington. We'd been driving for hours and were so grateful for a place to stretch our legs and pick up some snacks. This place was straight out of a Hallmark movie; they have all the basics you'd need including cleaning supplies, tackle and a decent amount of shelf stable groceries. While browsing someone came in asking for beef jerky and the super friendly worker showed them the 5 different spots it was in. Super friendly service, super neat little place.

My brother lives in Alberton (I live in Seattle)and he called me the other day to send him a label from a certain kind of chili he wants. This would require me going to my store here and finding it. Once he gets the label he was going to go to Valley Grocery and show it to them so they could try and order it for him. Rather than going into detail with him about google, cell phones, the cost of mailing said label, me having to buy a can of chili I most likely will never eat and the convenience of FaceBook, etc, lol, I contacted the store directly through messenger. They responded to me immediately with an apology that their two suppliers couldn't provide it for them (or my brother). I spent years in the Food/Beverage and Guest Service industry so I know great customer service when I see it or experience it. This was great customer service. I read a couple negative reviews on here but I always take those with a little grain of salt .....no one can be perfect all the time. No one can satisfy the public all the time. Sometimes you get employees who don't know what lines they shouldn't cross....such as the review with the mask. But for me, I highly recommend them because they like my brother and they try to accommodate him and his , what I can only imagine are numerous, requests. Thank you Valley Grocery for looking out for him, for being kind to him and your amazingly quick response to my message. Great Job.

I stopped in Alberton on the way home to Seattle, Washington. My son and I missed the exit we wanted to go South into Lolo Forest to find a campsite for the night, so we pulled over in Alberton as exit signs showed there was gas there. We took the 1st exit going West, and came into a cute little area. A single gas pump, no store, was on the left, it was a Cen Tex. Across the street was Valley Grocery. After I pumped gas I went across to the store for a soda and hopefully some advice on where to stay. The store is typical low budget but stocked well and clean and tidy. I asked the friendly woman, long blond hair (late 20's?) if she could recommend a place to stay. I will be eternally grateful for her recommendation. She eagerly drew us a map to a place called Kreis Pond, aprox 10 miles? North in the woods. It was the best stay of our 5 night trip, beautiful, quiet, and free. Thank you, for taking the time to give a travel weary lady and her son a beautiful night to remember. Helpful, friendly people go a long way in my book. If I head back through there I will stop again.

There the only store in alberton with gas and u can buy you hunting tags but the normally are closed by 7pm
