My husband took to deer to y’all, we picked one up yesterday and we’re cooking stakes tonight. I’ve never in my life smelled something so rancid it smells like rotten flesh. He will be contacting them first thing tomorrow morning if not I will. We even got some sausage it’ll be dog food now. 🤦🏼‍♀️

I had two deer processed here had jerky made and summer sausage when we got it home opened it up it smelled rotten would not recommend this place to anyone I have been a butcher for over 30 years and have never seen anything like this

If you love liver, and the liver you get from WallyWorld falls apart on you because it's so thin, you'll love Barnetts liver!I put the pen to give you an idea how thick it is. The stuff I've gotten from WW wasn't even as thick as that pen!

Very disappointed. Drop off 12-15-22 Took over a month to receive my deer meat. We paid $100 up front & was told it should be done In a week. Cause it's going for Xmas. I had called to check on it several times. Was told several dates it would be done, which wasn't. I asked for sausage, Jerky, and grounded deer meat. Didnt get it in time for xmas. Very disappointing. 9lbs of meat is all we received today 1-23-23. On the receipt only showed Jerky & sausage. Owners dad was nice. Never met the owner.On paper only had Jerry and sausage. 9 lbs

Want to say that I was very impressed with the service. Got cow in for processing on emergency basis. Cow was hung for aging a decent period of time. Packaging is fantastic. Heavy plastic bags that don’t leak blood when thawing meat.

I purchased pork from this company. When I placed my order I requested my bacon and ham CURED. Nothing was cured!! The bacon and ham has absolutely no flavor! To top it off the bacon is so very thin that it literally falls apart taking it out of the package. I'm extremely disappointed. I'm thankful for the meat even if it's flavorless but will not be making another purchase from this company.

Start counting the weight of your returns - had two does, each weighed the same (minus 2lbs on the one at the other processor’s)… One processed at Barnett’s, one at another place. Barnett’s stiffs you on your return that’s for sure. Not even half of what I got at the other processor! And the quality of packaging isn’t worth it. So if you want what you paid for (literally) go somewhere else.

this is my second time using Barnetts. Two hogs this time that i raised with a special diet.i requested them using some of my store bought sausage meat seasoning in addition to theirs. I found theirs to be superior.Barnett's, in my opinion, took the time and pride to give my family the best product. My instructions were followed to the letter.The meat is carefully cut and shrink wrapped. They have excellent meat in their retail freezer in the store as well. The ground chuck is far superior to anything available in local supermarkets. HEY, it tastes like meat, not cardboard.I will always return to them as long as i am around this area.Customer service is like mine at my shop.Two thumbs up to you all !!!!!!!!!!!!

3rd go around with Barnett's Meat, as you see they get 5 stars once again. cut and packaged my pork with perfection. John went the extra mile and custom made my sausage, brats and bacon to the letter.Two thumbs up !! Thanks !!

I have had several deer processed at Barnett's. Fantastic job done each time. To people complaining about their deer being "bloody" and not "bled out" you are the one responsible for that when you shot holes in it. You can't bleed out a dead animal. All these fine folks do is process it, what you do with the carcass before leaving it with them is on you.

To anybody out there wanting to bring your livestock or deer to this place stop right in your tracks now !!!Unless you want it ruined and smelling and tasting like a dumpster then this will be the place to go !They will tell you 1-3 are bad a year ha ha Ha ha haOr like 3 to 5 per week everybody I talk to says the same thing.I got my money back but I didn’t even get a courtesy 5 pounds of burger are nothing thanks a lot.( could’ve fed the burger to my dog I think )

Never had a deer processed before by a plant and have always done it myself. Well this year I had a deer done and have honestly never smelt or tasted deer meat this horrible. I don’t like to downgrade anyone but this was horrible. Smelt like rotten deer guts in the sun for a few days and you could smell it when you walked into the plant.

First time we have taken a deer to a processor. It took 3 weeks to get our meat and it was excessively bloody and when you tried to cook it it smelled rancid and had to be thrown out. They did refund our processing fee when we took the meat back. So its back to zero like I never went hunting to begin with.

Our deer meet was not bled out, and the deer breakfast sausage wasn't all that great.
