Some of the managers act very unprofessional by yelling at their employees and accusing them of things that are not true. Some of their employees are allowed to act very unprofessional without any repercussions to their actions. Major changes for how their good employees are treated are needed. The large turn over in their staff says they need to improve the way they treat employees. They will only loose all their great staff to be left with all the problem staff. I have witnessed first hand how some of the staff were treated so unfairly while others got away with things I never would have in any job I have ever had.A concerned client

They are amazing! My husband and I had a trip booked before we saved an incredible pup and were very hesitant to put him in a kennel. The tour eased a lot of anxiety, all of the employees truly love animals! The general manager even approached with us after noticing us sitting on a bench. They were happy to answer any questions and were so kind everytime I called to check on him, which was a lot. Thank you so very much for everyone's patience and understanding. I definitely HIGHLY recommend!

Had my dog here for 10 days for boarding. He is a great dog but with this being my first experience with the staff here at Westin I was a little disappointed. It took 10-15 minutes of being on hold every time I called to even talk to a person regarding my dogs care. I was told to come pick the dog up by the Westin staff when you guys were closed for lunch causing me to wait for an hour in the parking lot in which I was still charged for late pickup. They also said that the package I chose would include a report card and extras in which we also did not receive. Won’t be coming back. Was also overcharged exponentially more than what I was originally quoted.

They great my dogs by name when we arrive, and genuinely care about them! They threw a birthday party for one of my dogs while they were boarded, and sent pics. Best Place EVER for pets!

We have taken all of our dogs for the past 18 years there, and they are the best. They take good care of their animals and I have never had one problem with their services. My dogs have all loved going there.

We had been going here and doing daycare for a couple months until we had a few poor experiences in a row. I reached out and emailed the company and asked for a manager or owner to discuss these concerns with me and no one bothered to discuss the concerns with me. So we discontinued going here. In a nutshell, there were a few times I brought my dog here during daycare hours and daycare wasn’t actually happening — lights were shut off, no staff was present in the daycare area, etc. Also, we had a poor 1st time grooming experience (miscommunication on our dog being in a kennel the whole day, then when we showed up to pick her up, the whole facility was locked up, no one was answering the phones, etc). I’ve been meaning to write a review for a while but just now getting around to it. I tried to reach out to discuss the issues and resolve them privately but no one ever returned my email so I thought I’d leave a review in case other people had the same concerns.

Very clean. Employees are very friendly and caring. Anja (dog) and I love coming here. Anja loves to come to daycare to play with the other doggies. She loves the employees and they love her. It's also a great boarding place. I'm comfortable leaving her there, when we go on vacation. ❤️❤️

We love the classes. Especially for beginners. Splitting two different activities in one class time. This way you can get a feel for what you and your dog might be interested in advancing in. Another really nice thing, all the classes are indoors!

We toured their facility after we adopted our puppy, Dixie, in May. She has stayed at Westinn several times overnight with daycare, bath & nails. Friendly staff & reasonable prices. We've been very pleased with their service.

We came to town due to a sick family member that subsequently passed away, and had to bring our little dog Rico Suave with us.Westinn Kennels was a god-send for us, taking him off our hands on the weekend and with late pickup, allowing us to be at the hospital in our time of need.Prices were VERY reasonable (compared to what we pay in CA) and the service was great!Much thanks to all the staff!!

There is no where else I would trust with my Mini Aussie for daycare and grooming needs. The Receptionist Manager and front office staff are so kind, friendly, welcoming, and always ease any concerns I have about my fur baby. Top shelf facility for all your pets socializing, training, and grooming needs!

They have the greatest team who truly care for your dog. Domino is excited to get there and is exhausted when the day is done. We also love the convenience of asking grooming to daycare session.

We came to the kennels on a Saturday afternoon about 2:30 for a routine nail clipping. There were a million cars in the lot for an event. The front doors were open for the grooming/kenneling side of the building, but they actually closed at 2:00. The two gals at the counter were extremely nice, and one of them took our dog back and clipped his nails herself. We offered to come back the next day, but they insisted on taking care of business right then. Very very kind. We’ve been going to this establishment in Wentzville for many many years. No complaints here! Thank you.

Our dog recently stayed at Westinn Kennels. From what I can tell they took good care of her. They have tons of activities and services for the animals. This visit we took advantage of the "day care" that gave her time with other pups and socialized her a bit. They also gave her a bath and trimmed her nails (for a fair fee)

We’ve always had a good experience here. I will say, the customer service has gone down hill a bit the past few years. They just seem understaffed and/or overworked. Our dog loves coming here and they’ve always been good to her.

It was nice that they offer a free puppy play date program up until six months. I am very particular with my puppy so I asked numerous times what the structure of the day would look like. The only time they mentioned that they would be in a kennel would be for rest time and eating which was approximately an hour and a half. When I went to pick my puppy up she came out of the kennel. I asked the young lady why she was in a kennel and she mentioned to me that they go in their kennel after being let out for a little bit. So obviously they are in their kennel more than an hour and a half. I don’t mind that they are in a kennel that is just not the place for me as I don’t want my puppy locked up in a kennel for a majority of the day. So if you have been to the puppy play date just make sure you understand what the agenda for their day is.

Great overnight boarding faculty!We have used them a few times they are always so helpful on the phone and in person answering questions and helping everything run smoothly. They have a great online data base easy to use and very helpful.Their prices are good and they offer many different add ONS to help your dog with overnight boarding from older dogs like ours to younger dogs that need lots of attention.Great place nightly recommend.

AWESOME folks here at Westinn in Wentzville. They treat every dog as their favorite and every customer as the only one that matters!Update to my review:We have been using Westinn Kennels for better than 7 years. The fine folks there have always treated us with respect and have taken the utmost care of our dog. The staff is first-rate, well trained, very friendly, and respectful, and we have never had any issues whatsoever. The facilities are clean and our dog looks forward to visiting with Westinn every time we take him. We often bring him in for daycare - sometimes multiple times per week. And we always board him there whenever we are out of town.Westinn Kennels was recommended to us by our Vet, friends who board their pets there, and former employees. As dog owners our entire lives, we would not be bringing our dog to Westinn if we weren't 100 percent satisfied with the care and treatment of our dog. He is happy to go there, and happy when we pick him up.We absolutely recommend Westinn Kennels when you need to board your dog.

The staff was very nice and the facility was nice but when we took our puppy there for puppy kindergarten the class size was just too big with about 10 -12 participants and folks less about or less than 10 feet apart. It was way too distracting for my 12 week old puppy. On top of that at the lesson we went to they crammed in over 8 concepts to try to train in a week which is too much. Good to get your money's worth but not if you don't give your dog time to learn. Better to either have smaller less distracting classes or fewer concepts. Just not a good fit for us. Went elsewhere and it's working out better.

We took our puppy here for trick class with Jaime Heberlein. It was amazing how many tricks were taught about 4 tricks for each class . After explaining and demonstrating each trick, Jaime would come around and give each participant individualized tips for their dog. This was a fun class and Jaime's tips made impossible tricks possible.After trick class session we headed over to the Weldon spring location of Westinn for beginning obedience with Suzanne and Kay. There were a total of 5 dogs in class. Even though Ive been through obedience class with my other dogs and he knows much of the basics already, there was plenty new ideas to make it definitely worthwhile. Suzanne and Kay give individualized attention to each dog and trainer after instructing on each new lesson. Very happy with this class.

The main reason we use Westinn is because from where we live, it's convenient. We like the fact they let our dogs out multiple times a day for bathroom breaks at no extra charge. Grooming and other amenities are reasonable and they do a good job. The facility is nice and very clean. The negative aspects we have experienced are that we have never seen them even attempt to take the extra step to accommodate our needs or our dogs needs. We feel the policies and procedures are set and that is it; at least from one person we have dealt with most times. Just the thought, attempt, or recommendations would be nice. We disagree with how some of the rates are implemented. We had our dogs stay the night that was actually less than 24 hours (22 or 23 hours) and were charged for a day and a half. Other kennels will charge their full day after 12pm meaning you can drop your pets off at any time during the day and pick them up before noon the next day charging only one day. Westinn used to be the cheapest around, but not so much anymore. Westinn now seems to be within range of its competitors. This review is not meant to degrade the business and its operations, and hopefully viewed as constructive criticism by other readers and staff.

I’ve taken my dogs here several times for a nail trim and lately I really don’t think they have been trimming them at all. I took him a few days ago and they still looked very long. Took him to another groomer and the difference was mind blowing!

I take all three of my dogs here! One is in training and the other two go to daycare once a week. When my dogs get in the car they are so excited and when we get here they are excited to get out of the car. I have also boarded them for a week and they were well taken care of and loved. In addition, I have used the grooming services and they did exactly what I requested. After coming home from a day of daycare and training all three dogs are exhausted. This is well worth the drive and money spent. Every staff member is kind and patient and I appreciate them all!

I drive 55 minutes each week to attend classes at Westinn Kennels. I love them so much and have learned so much about how to effectively communicate with my hyperactive Russell Terrier mix pup. Ashton and Suzanne are amazing and I have had nothing but wonderful experiences here!

Update 6/20/2022 - My German Shepherd, Violet, has been staying at Westinn on and off for the past four years. She doesn't like being away from home and up until this past visit, I felt the service at the facility was good. This recent visit was different. It was outstanding. I will highlight a few of the items below:- Phone call needing a modification to my visit due to an unexpected closing - the lady that called was polite, straightforward, listened, and adjusted the schedule/kept me informed. Proactive in my book, is the right way to handle it.- Check-in - usually the easiest part of the process, but as always, spot on with review, hours, suggestions, and more.- Pick-up (Check out) - the individual was attentive, engaging, and knowledgeable. Adjusted 1 day's rate due to having to bring her early, due to a closure.- Pick-up (Kennel Associate) - Absolutely spectacular. She didn't want Violet to go and for the first time my dog turned around to essentially thank her and say goodbye. I've never seen her do that before.I'm writing this because the pick-up was out of the ordinary for my dog. She always tackles me with love, hugs, and kisses and runs to leave as quickly as possible. Today, she did not. She also said her own little thanks to the associate who brought her out.Previous review - Our German Shepherds second home. She loves playing with other dogs at the daycare, the bizzy bones, and the employees. She's always treated like family.

This place is huge! It is super clean, the people there are really nice, and I felt much better leaving my dog here than at other big kennels in the area. My pup was only there for a bath today, but we will definitely use the for our kennel on the future. They also have a nice shopping selection on the main area and their training facility is right next door..it looks like something that would be on TV.
