This Walgreens denied me of my medicine for 4 dosing periods(2 days) of my mental health medication (not a controlled substance),that both my insurance provider and psychiatrist's office had already given the go ahead for an early refill override. I now am suffering from immense stress and migraine, as well as mood instability due to my missed doses.Clearly my stress and concern were too much for the pharmacist. One of the workers put me on hold to speak to her...she answered, put me on hold again, and then hung up on me. After that the pharmacy staff were very short with me and quickly got off the phone with me. I had my husband present for every one of these moments.Every time I called, it was because I had missed a dose and just wanted an update from the actual pharmacist to get specific reasons as to why my medication refill was being denied until the 31st of January, even though I needed a refill on the 22nd of this month. If I went that long without my medicine, I would have to restart at a very small dose and would be mentally unstable for far longer.I legitimately had to call my insurance's pharmacists administration line to confirm that this wasn't an error on their part. They told me it was this Walgreens pharmacist that was not approving my script/not resubmitting for approval.I have been on the same dosage for this medication since August of last year. I was even on a warm call with my psychiatrists prescription manager and heard the pharmacist insist that it was my insurance having the issue with the refill. Do not try to fill your meds here.

This place is the worst. I get calls and texts repeatedly telling me my prescription is ready to be picked up time and time again I go to pick it up and they say it hasn’t be filled yet. Why does this happen everytime? It is beyond frustrating!

I have a primary insurance and a secondary insurance. I accidentally clicked to refill an extended release tab that my primary insurance didn't cover. So INSTEAD OF THEM ASKING ME IF I HAD SECONDARY INSURANCE, they used a Good Rx card. Cost me $100. Had they done their jobs, it would have been $10.Contacting the BBB on three Walgreens around town.Horrible, horrible communication and zero empathy or inclination to solve the problem."OH,gee. Just because the last person did there job, doesn't mean we all can."Getting my last few prescriptionss and will never fill a another one at Walgreens Pharmacy.Their screw up ended up costing me $100 I don't have. The kicker is that I'm not even going to use it.Horrible business/healthcare practices. This is going to the top, with each call with them recorded. I hope they gave the ONE person who was working hard to resolve it some major kudos. This has been going on for 5 days. Each day it's something different. And the new pharmacist? Not warm at all. "This is the way it is, period. You should have, blah, blah, blah."Suggestion: Hand out a rules/responsibilities book before you do this to someone else.Shame on you. Expect bad reviews everywhere and a contact from BBB.This won't happen to someone else if i have anything to say about it..

I went to pick up my prescription. They said they didn’t have it and had to order it, I then went 3 different times over 2 weeks and each time they said it had been ordered so I gave up. I asked if there was anything similar? She physically went and checked the shelf and came back with a similar medication in her hand and told me they have that kind and then in-front of me sent a request to my drs office for approval.Next day my drs office called me and told me they spoke with the pharmacy and approved the request for the medication they had in stock and that the pharmacy told my Drs office they would fill it that day and I could pick it up same day. I went to pickup and the pharmacy tells me they don’t have it and are waiting for approval. I explain it was approved and my drs office called me and told me they approved it. They then tell me they don’t have it in stock. The pharmacist that day told my drs office they did have it on the shelf and I also saw it the day before when the tech showed me. I still don’t have my script. It’s deeply concerning how rude all of the encounters with this pharmacy have become.

My Dr sent a prescription over on 1/30 went to pick it up that same day. Got to Walgreens and was told it wouldn't be ready for another hour. I told them I would be back Tuesday or Wednesday. I came back Wednesday 2/1 and was told it was put back on the shelf because our insurance denied it and I would have to wait for them to refill it AGAIN oh and per my insurance it was only $8 out of pocket. Why would you put a medicine back on the shelf without asking your customer if they can pay out of pocket for it. Not to mention the last time I had medicine filled you weren't even using his insurance and never told me and I was just paying out of pocket for that and didn't know it.

I don’t understand what has happened to Walgreens, but I dread having to get a prescription filled now days because I know it’s going to be a horrible experience. It used to be that my doctor would submit an e-prescription or I would request a refill via the app and I could pick it up a few hours later. WHY IS IT NO LONGER THIS SIMPLE??? Now every time a prescription is requested, I have to hunt it down and figure out why it’s not being filled. This entails calling or physically going to the store to ask, an employee giving me a lame excuse, and then having to return a second time to actually get the medication. And there’s a long line every time I go because there’s never enough staff, even with the new drastically reduced hours. It’s the most absurd system I’ve ever seen and it’s happening AGAIN right now. My doctor submitted an Rx yesterday, which was a Tuesday. The app said it would be ready by Wednesday. Today is Wednesday and I check the app to make sure it’s ready. Of course it’s NOT ready, that would have been too simple. Now the app says my prescription was received and I can request it to be filled, but the earliest I can request a pick-up is Friday. WHY WASN’T IT FILLED WHEN MY DOCTOR SUBMITTED IT ON TUESDAY? So now I have to drive to Walgreens to figure out what the issue is and go without my medication for 3 days (and no, it’s not a controlled substance). I’m done with this mess and am having everything permanently transferred to CVS. I’ve been a nurse for 30 years and have never seen such a poorly designed system. Your new call center and off-site services are a disaster. I work for a large, world renowned academic medical system, and I find myself instructing my patients to go anywhere…except Walgreens. I’ve seen multiple patient safety issues lately and you’ve lost my trust. Walgreens is on a downward spiral and it isn’t going to end well.

Went through the drive through. And started telling the little girl that the emergency room sent our prescription to the wrong place. Automatically she calls me rude and had a very bad attitude. So I asked for a manager and got a young tattoo up guy who was no help either. He said I'm sorry. Well just to let you know she should have came and apologized not him. Very unprofessional

It is understandable the pharmacy staff may be stressed due to being understaffed (like many other businesses at this time). However, IMO, it is quite disappointing to see such lack of customer service skill when faced with this challenge. While I was waiting for my appointment, I encountered multiple instances where, not only the techs, but the pharmacist as well raised their voices at customers, slammed phones down and were extremely condescending when questioned about status of an order…all without offering any sort of apology (regardless of fault)…even to the man waiting for a prescription for his MIL at home on hospice! No sympathy whatsoever. Walgreens needs to offer more training in this regard. This location has lost a family of five as customers today.

The pharmacy is severely understaffed for how busy it is. The service is good, but they simply just don’t have enough help.

Made an appointment to get a flu shot after work today for my husband and I. Apparently they don’t even look at their appointments and only do walk-ins. They said at 530pm their wait was 45 minutes so they recommended coming in between 11am-3pm....which is during my work hours. What’s the point of having appointments then? They apologized and were plenty nice about it, but I just wasted my time for no reason.

This pharmacy is AWFUL. Unacceptable for a prescription to take over 7 hours to be filled. Sent from the doctor at 8 am and not ready for pickup until almost 4 pm. This isn’t the first time we’ve had to wait longer than 4 hours, but never this long.

I should have written this review years ago! There is a woman by the name of Debbie who now works at the Wentzville Walgreens 24hr store and used to work at the Florissant store and the pharmacist who is working tonight (forgot her name sorry), they are by far the most helpful and caring people I have ever come across in a pharmacy. Debbie has been with Walgreens since I can remember, all the way back 13yrs ago I believe when she first helped me. Debbie makes sure everything is in the correct order and will bend over backwards to help anyone with a reasonable request or problems with the script your picking up. The pharmacist always makes sure the meds I'm on are there or will have them by the next morning if stock is out. I'm on a maintenance med that's expensive and can be hard to find at other pharmacy's. These two deserve a raise for going far above what their titles require. A lot of people like to complain when their meds aren't filled immediately and talk to the pharmacy staff like trash. This staff has probably the busiest locations in St Charles and have to fill thousands of scripts, make sure they're safe to take with your other meds and then sort them by hand alphabetically. They do all this and get yelled at by countless people. I just wanted to say thank you for doing your job better than any other employee at any other pharmacy! Thank again...

Went to the pharmacy, stood there and waited in line for 35 minutes. I know the drive-through traffic was going a lot faster than that. There were several elderly people in line in front of me and I could see them struggling to stay standing. They should give more priority to the walk up traffic as they are not sitting.

Went on a weekday during the day with two people in drive thru, we waited over ten minutes while all 7 workers behind the counter ignored us and continued to talk/laugh amongst themselves. I am usually very understanding because I know places can be short staffed but when there’s seven workers and one customer in line and two people in drive-through it makes you wonder what their reasoning was for not even saying “hang on just a second, we’ll be right with you”. We ended up leaving because more people started getting in line and we figured we would have more luck at CVS

My husband received stitches at the urgent care at 2:30 pm. Before we left the urgent care at 3 pm the nurse told us they had already sent the prescription for his antibiotic over to Walgreen electronically. She said it should be ready for us when we got there, it's a 5 minute drive. We took a small detour to get something and then my husband went in to get the prescription after about 15 minutes he came out and said that they claimed to have never received it, so he had called the urgent care and had them resend it. I took him home (a 25 minute drive) and then came back as I had some errands to do. When I stopped there around 5:30 I waited in a somewhat lengthy line and then asked for mine. She said she'd never heard of my husband. Um what? So after some searching she found him in her system, but the prescription wasn't yet filled, come back in 15-20 minutes. I'm a fairly patient person, and figured the groceries could wait a bit. So I killed time walking around the store, sitting surfing through my phone. I have them five minutes longer and then approached the counter at 6 pm to be waited on by a different woman than before. I asked again for my husband's prescription and much to my frustration I was told they didn't have it. I said that I was told they had and it would be filled in 20 minutes. The girl went back to the pharmacist, and asked. She told me that it had "just popped up" and it would be another 20 minutes. Are you kidding me?? I asked if it could be sent to another Walgreens or somewhere else where it could be filled in a more timely manner. She said, "I can't send it anywhere you need to call your doctor and fix that." I said, "I'll be back in 20 minutes, thank you." So here I am at 6:30 pm: sitting in the parking lot, writing a review and praying MY FOURTH ATTEMPT to pick up an antibiotic will be successful. Please consider CVS or somewhere else, for your pharmacy needs. If I could give 0 stars I would.

Pharmacy is the least helpful of any I have ever been to. Staff wants to blame everyone else for them not doing their job. Do not ever use this Pharmacy. They put my prescription through for a 30 day supply and then try to 14 day supply when it was only supposed to be a one-week Supply. This totally screwed me up for being able to get a refill or a new prescription filled under my insurance. These people have no idea what they are doing.

The pharmacist at the store is so rude she doesn’t understand that she’s dealing with people‘s medicines that they need very much and every time you call and speak to her she hangs up on you before even saying goodbye or that’s it she just click That’s all you hear it’s very disgusting and I don’t appreciate it and I will be telling her this in person as soon as she refills my medicines what she’s refusing to do even though my app says today at 5:55!!! She said with the app is wrong CLICK!!!

They have absolutely no organizational skills. The prescriptions are in boxes on the ground. 3:15 pm appointment for vaccination it is 4pm and they gave me one piece of paper to fill out. Still waiting for the shot. If you are not able to offer a service in the expected time, do not do it. No chance of coming back here. Horrible experience.

Pharmacy sucks, the other Wentzville location is better. They NEVER call you when it's ready for pickup. And they are VERY slow, even checking people out. The lines are usually around the building for drive thru pickups. And this is partly due to them taking forever to do anything. Inside the store things are "OK" but the main registers chip reader has been broken for over a month (maybe 2 months). At first you could only pay with cash if your chip failed to read. Now you have to follow some trick to get it to work. Something like , insert chip, pull out, cancel, put it back etc. It makes checking out take forever. I mean seriously! Fixed the damn thing already. What mickey mouse manager do they have? Go to the other location, everything is better there!

Wish I could give zero stars. The last 5 times I have been there they say they don't have my prescription. All different docs. I even pulled up on my phone showing it was sent in and to there store. Every time it took my doc to call in multiple times to get these prescriptions. Then they charged my insurance for a prescription that they said they didn't have and my doc had to call it in again. I picked up the second one he called in. Came in today 3 day later after leaving the ER. They didn't have the script that was sent in from the ER no surprise. Tried giving me the script they said they didn't have 3 days prior. So told them I got thT few days ago. I didn't need it now. Then they charged my insurance. The ER doc electronically sent it then called them and they told them they needed to e send it againAnd wouldnteven take the called in one. What a joke. Stay away!!!

This is the 4-5 time this has occurred and finally felt necessary to report it. I have been trying to access pharmacy (and drive thru) for prescriptions, covid vaccine and every time they are under staffed and there is an unnecessary wait time. I scheduled an appointment for 10:15 and am sitting here with 9 others for the last 45 minutes. Hopefully this will reach someone in hope of a change. It is costing your store business and if there were another store in this location I would forsure not come to this location anymore.

Ever since the pandemic service has went down. Technician told me an order wasn't called in. I watched and heard the doctor call it in. This has happened a few times. Then claim they called the dr office for refills. Not. Im getting ready to switch.

Nice store manager and it ends there. Pharmacy does not know what they are doing. Pharmacy manager advised you are able to get 3 month refills as long as your prescription is written for at least that many refills. Thats all fine until you try to do it and the manager is not there. But on a good note the pharmacy manager wanted to know who was giving me a hard time. When speaking to Liz (girl that had shoulder length brown hair now has short hair) she absolutely refused to fill 3 months at a time and also told me I was not eligible for a refill for 3 days so I couldn't get it anyway. She also told me she had no control over that (not refilling it for another 3 days) talk to the insurance company. That would not make any sense, I would have to come in to Walgreens before my breakfast and get my medicine for that day, I would be totally out. So leaving the store I called my insurance company, they told me Walgreens hadn't even attempted to fill the medicine and yes it was approved. Then I asked the insurance company if I can get the medicine for 3 months at a time..again the insurance company said yes and my policy said I could pick them up at a store and did not have to mail it in. Again just like the pharmacy manager told me. But the insurance company also gave me a help number for the pharmacy and they could call them and they would explain how it worked to the pharmacist. The pharmacist refused to take it.I called the Walgreens back and talked to the same wonderful employee explaining this to her. She said that my prescription was pending being filled awaiting doctors approval. Which when I left I had told her not to bother earlier. I would speak to her manager the following day.Problem no 1 She does not know what she is doing.Problem no 2 She sent it off to my doctor when I knew it did not have to be sent and told her not to.Problem no 3 When I called her back and told her everything the insurance company. I also told her what her manager said about people giving me a hard time, and I had already complained and her manager said ohh. SHE TOLD ME I WAS LYING.Really Wentzville Walgreens you need to weed out your pharmacy and get new people. Some that have been trained correctly and know how to work with people. People that are polite and know there job. Not just a manager who knows her job she can't be there 24/7...oh wait.. the guy that works at night has filled prescriptions correctly.

This really is the worst Walgreens around, I get my RX’s filled in LSL or Warrenton just to avoid it. The wait times are ridiculous, even when you are the only one there and are waiting for your infants meds and they know you are a priority, they just don’t care. I just got to use their take care clinic for the first time, I got there 10 minutes after they opened, their computer that should have checked me in had an error and asked me to speak to the invisible receptionist. So glad I left and went to Our Urgent Care, within 20 minutes they got me in and out with a strep throat diagnosis and treatment plan.

If it was possible to give negative stars I would. They tell you they will order your RX but then they don't. Now it's Friday and I have to wait until Monday for a RX I needed yesterday. They counter help was clueless with everything and I guess they can't do their job either if they tell you it will be ordered but it never showed up was the answer I received via phone but then right after I got off the phone with them about it not showing up I got the email about it will be ordered. I guess that email was lost or it was never ordered to begin with yesterday. Worst pharmacy ever!

I went to fill a prescription I was waiting for and was told it would be 20-25 minutes. I say in a chair right in front of the pharmacy and was waiting. They were extremely busy so I figured it may take a little extra. After 40 minutes I went up to ask about it and it was already put away in the bin. No one even bothered to say a word. I asked if it said I was waiting and she said yes, and it even said it on the front of the prescription. She said they don’t announce on the overhead anymore, however, I was sitting directly in front of the counter the entire time. Was it too much trouble to ask me?? Check on me??? Nothing!!!!! Terrible Customer Service!!
