This store is seriously neglected on multiple levels. They are understaffed, and apparently pay very little, so no one stays working there long. There is a lot of disorganization throughout the entire store. I've seen buckets in the middle of the floor to catch water from a leaking roof. The floor is disgusting. I've found multiple items that were tagged for sale and had Goodwill price tags on the other side! A large amount of items are damaged, and they still don't mark them down. The dressing rooms are sketchy with how they don't stay locked, and they are consistently full of torn-off tags and piles of merchandise on the dirty floor. It's a shame corporate has not addressed these issues.

They have a good selection of things here. There are lots of inexpensive clothes if you're looking for something simple. We found a couple of wall hangings that we liked enough to buy. Prices are reasonable and we enjoyed our experience.

Would post negative stars. On a busy Black Friday Tina voided my over $170 transaction. Then wants to charge me $170 again since the void was an “accident.” I tell her no I just paid. She then proceeds to tell me to step aside so she can assist other customers and wait for my money to come back (as if it wasn’t obviously Black Friday, one of the most obvious banking holidays of all) if I wasn’t going to pay again. I wasn’t able to take my merchandise and out of $170 until Monday. Then given an absolute piss poor excuse by the general manager Rhonda who was also even more clueless than Tina. No where else would have tolerated this or even thought of doing it. A normal friendly manager would have worked with me on it or figured out a solution. Rhonda instead tells me she can hold my stuff until the money comes back. (Which would absolutely void all of my black friday deals since it would then be monday instead) Not to mention Rhonda and Tina (the firmly educated) are the only two workers at the store I can see on one of the busiest shopping days I have ever seen in my lifetime, Makes it funnier that they have a table with applications saying can start asap. Never shopping at Ross again. Absolute embarrassment. Will happily dance in front of this Ross when it goes out of business.

I was there for hours looking for clothes and accessories to take on vacation the following week. Since I was there so long, I was watched and checked on a number of times. It was the same person each time. Had she appeared to REALLY want to assist me, this would not have bothered me. But, she never smiled or seemed friendly, and I got the feeling she was a supervisor.I work in retail, and I truly enjoy watching customers walk out smiling/laughing because they had a great experience!

This is the most frustrated place to shop they have so many empty racks because they do not have enough employees to stock what they have them back so you go in there there's hardly no shoes racks and racks are empty because it's all in the back of the store. What a way to run a store. They said it's because they don't have enough help two stock stuff. But one thing they put on their application that is illegal they ask if you're a convicted felon you are no longer allowed to ask that on a application it is illegal. You can run a background check if you want but you cannot ask the front. And it's not me that was trying to get a job there there is a few other people and I noticed they made comments about it. So maybe you should change your policies to get some clothes on your racks for your customers instead of having very little to choose from are hardly nothing there is nothing for little girls for pants I found one pair and that whole store. I'm not even going to give this place a star.

Honestly very disappointed in how unprofessional the two employees working tonight treated customers. We walked in over a half hour before closing time, and were immediately greeted with an announcement over the loud speaker that they would be closing in 30 minutes, and to please bring up any final purchases. Having worked in retail for a majority of my younger years, I am very well familiar with the fact that you do not close until the last customer leaves, not that I would ever stay past close. We continued to shop, but then 10 minutes later, the same employee came across the speaker again and said "we are closing in 20 minutes, bring all of your purchases up to the front to be checked out. ... Please bring all of your purchases to the front... We would be more than happy to check you out right now. More than happy." I then heard laughing among the employees and heard someone in the store say "that means get your a**es out." We began to make our final selections and started to walk to the front, and made one final stop by the shoes, where the same employee came over and loudly told us we only had 10 more minutes. We told her okay. She then walked over to the other employee at the register and snickered, got on the speaker again, and began to once again make the announcement, but was laughing too much to finish. She apologized and tried again, and said they were closing in 10 minutes, and the registers would close at exactly 10 o'clock. We got in line behind the only other group of people in the store. We checked out with no issue, but as we were, a woman walked in. The employee informed her they were closing in 2 minutes which I do understand. What I do not understand is telling her fellow employee in front of customers that if the woman wasn't at the register in exactly 2 minutes, she would kick her out. A little compassion goes a long way, and it's important to understand that if you are open until 10, that means you are open until 10, not 9:30, and it's perfectly reasonable to expect customers to shop within that last half hour, not make their final purchase 30 minutes before you close just because you don't feel like working.Side note if you're interested- we went into Home Goods at the end of the complex 30 minutes before they closed as well. We were able to shop and make our purchases with about 5 minutes before they closed, and as we left, the manager bid us farewell with a big smile, thanked us for coming in and welcomed us back soon. It was very nice and we will definitely be visiting there again.

I can't say I've had a bad experience here. I usually buy more than I need.My only complaint is that they need more people at the registers. I know I'm not the only one tired of waiting. I hear others talking about it.

We spent hours in the store over the weekend and found so many great buys. After checking out and scoping out my receipt, I realized the cashier scanned something that may have been sitting on the counter that wasn't mine so that was a nice surprise to find sugar cooking icing in my bag. It was $2.99 so I wasn't going back in to return it. Plus one of the shirts I bought for $10.99 rang up for $2.00! Next time I'll pay more attention to what is being scanned.

The store associates are very friendly. I only complain is that you have to watch the items you purchased here or some of them have flaws. I return two items one was due to a piece missing on the cuffs of the pants. Another one was returned because the shirt was stitched wrong. I did purchase two other items which seem to be okay. I didn't realize they would sell products that had flaws that were very visible.

We were shopping and the associate (who clearly wanted to get out of there rapidly) came around to everyone that was shopping and said " I hate to be that person but we're closing". It was exactly 8:45pm and the store closed at 9pm. We ship at Ross's often and are well aware of the time that the store closes. Most stores make a PA announcement and that usually does the trick but the snarky tone of this employee clearly meant " get the hell out so I can leave". All 20+ customers wrapped up their shopping (most just walked out in disgust) and all because of some needy employee. She was rude and cost Ross a chunk of last minute cash. It's a good thing that I can shop elsewhere because I think I will.

The Wentzviile store is suppose to be open until 10pm everynight except Sunday but every time I go the store is closer way before 10pm. I always feel like the Wentzville location has the best selection, at least in my experience. I've never really had a bad experience with staff either. I left my debit card here on one occasion and the manager found me on social media to send me a message within 15 min to let me know, which I greatly appreciated. I hadn't made it far and his quick thinking helped avoid me going into a panic whenever I would go to use my card next and realize it was gone. The only reason I chose 4 stars instead of 5 is because it seems like they're short staffed on registers and on multiple occasions have only had one open during busy times, but that's not the end of the world.

I love the value and deals at this store. It is always well organized and divided up with easy to see ceiling banners. The drawback for me is the lack of selection in pants that are my size. They have bigger and smaller, but there are usually only 2-3 styles to choose from in the size I wear. Guess it's time to drop a size... :-)

One of my favorite places to go bargain shopping. They have everything here from shoes to make up the cell phone accessories. They do it. All I can't say enough about these people. They are great. They got a great selection of shoes all kinds of things for guys gals kids great place to shop love this store will shop here for many many many more years to come friendly atmosphere. Great people. I love Ross! I always find a bunch of things every time I come here; whether for myself, family, or my kids. Today I needed a dress for a wedding--tomorrow! I looked all over Amazon, Target, and Kohl's; but I should have gone to Ross first. I actually had a tough choice between a few of them, and wound up with a great dress for only $30.

On 4-21-18 I had a return with receipt. The receipt was 32 days old. I spoke to the manager and explained I lived 50 min away and had been unable to get there at 30 days. I asked for an exception and she was very stoic and said no. She said store credit only and save it for Christmas (this is Apr). I later asked her for a price check on an item and she pointed me to a sales person while she herself was at a register and in between checking out people. Again her flat stoic actions are not appropriate for a store manager.
