My pups have never been boarded before and I heard wonderful things, so I decided I’d give it a try on a weekend getaway. My pups were nervous at first but the staff was great at helping them get settled and calming their nerves with pets & rubs! I love that they post pictures of outside time and I even called and check on them (yes I’m that dog mom lol) and they were happy to go check on them for me and let me know how they were doing. I would recommend them, and I will be using them again in the future!

Just the best to take care of our Bella. We used to board our GSD in Lebanon, but that just was not a very good fit for her (or us) for SO many reasons. First time boarding Bella at Rocky Top and couldn't be happier with her care while we were gone for a few days. Highly recommend the staff here - they are so attentive and caring. No regrets leaving our previous kennel to go out of our way to have Bella stay with Rocky Top! Thank you all so much for taking such good care of her.

We boarded 2 dogs with them for a weekend. I asked that they kennel them together, which they did. I asked that they do not touch or handle them as the oldest did not like strangers touching him. When I picked the dogs up, the guy who took me to the kennel grabbed the oldest. I told him to leave the dog alone since he was terrified. He tried grabbing him again and laughed. When I finally got my boys, I saw a big cut over the youngest dogs eye. What did they do to my dogs? They ignored my request to keep hands off. My dogs were both frightened and abused while under their care. Since their kennel guy wouldn't listen to me while I was standing right there, it makes me wonder what they did while I was gone. I would never recommend Rocky Top Kennel. Horrible people who refuse to follow directions and harm dogs.

We choose this place after reading the amazing reviews it has. My dog hasn’t ever stayed in a kennel before and the reviews and a friend recommendation made me just go for this one. This is my personal experience.First impression: clean, nice and well equipped place, you feel confident when you dropped your dog off. They make you fill a form with all the information and special indications to feed your dog, if needs any medical treatment or if you want play time for them. Saw photos of my boy while his play time and apparently having fun, which gave me tranquillity. He spent there 3 nights and was the time to pick him up on Sunday afternoon. First thing I noticed my dog wanted to leave the place ASAP, didn’t put too much mind on it and got him in the car, all the way back home he was whining then I noticed he had fresh blood in his neck/chest area. I started examining him and looked closer I realize he had a huge lump with 3 nodules. I Thought that he might had hurt himself or something but then I notices at home he was scared of barking and when he did it he sounded different, like hoarse throat. They just mentioned he had diarrhea but we assumed it was normal due the stress for being in a different environment. Next day he didn’t want to eat his food, continued with diarrhea plus the day after that he puke twice, is when we decided to take him to the vet. Test were negative for bordetella virus and we were told that might still been the stress colitis. We asked about the lump in his neck and the first thing the vet’s assistant asked was if we use e-collar with him, WE DON’T! we haven’t even considered using anything like that bc we haven’t experience any issues on training our dog. I know my dog whines and howls when he gets sad when we’re not around or excited for seen other dogs and/or ppl but that’s not an excuse or reason to try on him something like a barking shock collar, especially if WE (the owners) weren’t asked for, notified of or hadn’t approved anything like that! My husband called to the place and of course they denied using an e-collar on our boy, but we did our research, we went to the vet and the injury, my dog’s hoarse throat pointed that he was on a barking shock collar.Can’t say how disappointed I’m with this place and how terrible sorry I feel for leaving my dog there! I would NOT recommend this place to anyone bc honestly Idk what my dog should have done to “deserve” such mis-treat, whining and barking?! No wonder why the stress colitis was so bad, my dog got abused there!Never again!!

I have been taking my dogs her for several years. Great place to board your pet! Beau and Ringo is always well taken care of!!! Both dogs are excited to go when we get there. The do a great job allowing them to play and run. It's nice to know that my boys are in a safe and loving enviroment when I have to leave them. Another great stay at Rocky Top!!!

Always patient with our shy puppies. Appreciate the play time in the yard. Update: Our pups stayed with the super folks at RTK again this weekend. The staff take pics of play time every day and post them on FB where we can see our babies. So reassuring to see them having fun and feeling comfortable.

I cannot say enough good things about this business! We needed to board our two small dogs on very short notice. Our dogs were adopted from a shelter and had never been boarded. I was nervous about boarding them, but the posted photos and the reports upon checkout proved that they had a great time, and even made a new dog friend. When we picked up the pups, they were clean and very happy. The facility is extremely clean and organized and the staff is professional. Highly recommend!!

This was our first time using this kennel and we were super impressed. Staff was great, facilities were clean and well maintained, the value was excellent. Love the fact that they post pictures on Facebook and you can see your dog playing. Most importantly was our Ozark was well taken care of and had a great experience. We will be back.

This I by far the best boarding experience we have ever had with our three dogs! They are the most responsive and caring boarders. They knew our dogs well and their specific needs. They took tons of photos and called us to update us on the dogs if there were any issues. I am incredibly thankful and grateful for this boarding center. I am so pleased and happy we found them and they were very reasonably priced for above and beyond service. Wish I could give them more than 5 stars!

We booked boarding this weekend for our dear little Zelda, and definitely recommend this business! She loved it so much. I also love how on their Facebook page they post pics and show how each doggy is doing! We booked again and would never go anywhere else. Our anxiety of leaving her somewhere has finally subsided. They took such great care of her, we were very pleased. ❤️

This is the first time we've ever kenneled our dog. It was very stressful for everyone, but I felt comfortable leaving Sam here for 3 days. I came in a few days prior and took a tour. That really eased a lot of my anxiety. The employees I met seemed to really love animals, and that also made me feel more comfortable. I left some personal items with my dog, and upon picking him up, they had washed and dried his pillow and blanket. Sam did very well overall. He was a happy boy when we picked him up.The only thing I'd wish for more of next time, is more updates and pictures.Very reasonably priced, friendly and professional staffing. Great location, and most importantly, clean!If we ever need to board again, we will be back. Thank you to everyone who took care of our good boy.

This place is Amazing! Owners and staff are all very friendly and professional. They kept my 4 big dogs while I was on vacation and they were all happy and doing great when I returned. The place is completely spotless. So clean and sanitary and did I mention professional?? I’ve used other boarders in the past and this is my new “Go-To” . Incredibly happy with our experience!! Highly recommend !!!

I am from Dallas, TX and I work in a very big emergency and specialty hospital for animals. I was in town to pick up my boyfriend from basic training and was worried about taking my pets on the army base. So I called Rocky Top last minute and they made room for my babies. They were only there for a few hours but they seemed to have a great time. My dog was happy and my cats who usually just ignore each other were cuddling in the same bed (I was amazed). The employees cuddled with my kitties which they are super needy so that was much appreciated. These people are very nice, the prices are super reasonable and the facilities are fantastic!

I have used Rocky Top Kennel for daycare and for boarding a lot this last year and I am very happy with each time I have used their service. I trust Rocky Top Kennel with my beloved but very wild German Shepherds and my elderly Maltese. Jessica and Jennifer are wonderful, attentive and patient (even with wild ones like mine). Grooming is wonderful. My dogs are happy when they arrive and happy when they leave. I am very thankful to have a safe, fun and caring place to kennel our pets.

My girls are SO cute and SO happy when I pick them up from Rocky Top Kennel!This place always smells good, is clean, and all animals are secure.The animals stay separated enough that my little dogs do not get stressed.They have the neatest place for cats separate from an area with plenty of space for large dogs.The staff is friendly, animal-lovers. Their grooming is just as ordered and super cute.

We’ve boarded our 2 big dogs for many nights, and they still wag their tails when we pull in the parking lot to drop them off! (Which has never happened before, it’s usually a lot of dragging involved) one of our dogs has a medical condition & they seem to do great with his meds as well! Thank you rocky top!!
