Loved this place. It was always my go-to when I first moved here.But recently, there have been multiple instances where I came to the shop an hour after it’s scheduled to open and the doors are locked. I even looked on their facebook page before I left to see any updates just in case, but nothing. It’s almost a consistent thing for them to not be open until late in the morning I guess. If people are short staffed that’s understandable, but I definitely think that there needs to be a better method of communicating that to customers.

Delicious coffee and great vibes! I got a latte with oat milk and it was so yummy. You can taste the quality! I also loved the artwork and overall aesthetic. Fast and great service, too.

Living in the local area for 20+ years, this is my go to coffee shop. Located in beautiful downtown Warrensburg across from the county courthouse, this is a gem! Walking in, you can expect to be greeted with a warm smile from the baristas, the wonderful aroma of coffee and music playing in the background.The baristas here are wonderful and are always willing to offer up some recommendations! They also have all sorts of paninis and the pizza here is phenomenal! They have tons of latte flavors including hazelnut, brown sugar, vanilla, caramel, mocha, white mocha, hawaiian salted caramel, sugar-free vanilla and sugar-free caramel. Those are just a few flavors including seasonal options! They also have merchandise including T-shirts, coffee cups, stickers and more!The management is very involved with their customers and their business. Being from here, it’s nice to see owners who care so much and put pride in their buisness. Katie and Stephanie are always willing to answer any questions you may have or have a conversation and get to know their customers!Whether you are wanting to grab a quick pizza with your family, study for a final, work on a group project or just relax, THIS is the place to do it. If i could give this place 6 stars, i would but unfortunately that’s not the case. 5/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.

We miss the old, Old Drum. It used to be the best joint to come get food, coffee and study. Now, they're always short staffed, out of something, and the interior is no longer the cozy vibe it used to be. Rather it's a clashing attempt at being modern which creates an awkward atmosphere. Christmas decorations still up in April. Lights are burnt out. Windows are a messy haze from fake snow painted on from Christmas 4 months ago.

Man, I love this place. Staff members like Kalista, Maddie, and Gavin are very welcoming! The manager, Rachel, is always there to greet me and always recommends the best options if you're ever unsure about what to order. The people here love Warrensburg and it shows! There are a few things though that have gone without fixing and they're slowly tarnishing the feel of Old Drum.1. The hours of operation vinyl on the front window is destroyed. At first I had to guess when they were open and rely on Google.2. There are flies ALL OVER THE PLACE on the front window tables (it is not unusual to have to wipe off a fly or two from a table before sitting at those tables).3. The top Vinyl banner at the front window states that this is a bakery, but they don't bake their goods, so that must be from before the ownership switch. They don't bake fresh breads anymore. That's old.4. There isn't much of a theme to the coffeehouse and the decor has become pretty bland and plain.5. Finally, the prices from the chalkboard menu and what one officially pays for are different. If you order a drink from the board, double check the price. It seems that their machine doesn't match up with the board and one could be paying more or sometimes less than what is posted.This may look like a negative review, but it's not. I have been coming here since arriving in Missouri and I have never had a negative experience. They deserve 5 Stars and they do a lot with the local community of Warrensburg. I list these items because I care about the place and want to see it succeed. I can't wait to see what comes next for Old Drum!!! ❤(Photos taken last year)

So delicious, sad I didn't discover this place sooner. I really like that they offer a refreshing variety from the ordinary selection of drinks, compared to most other coffee shops. Their food is delicious too, my new favorite spot.

From the time you walk in to walking out it is a warm and welcoming feel. A good place to order coffee and a pastry and just hang out for a while. Coffee is good and better than a Starbucks. Will definitely be back.

I'm in town for business and this place is a short walk from my Airbnb. Great place to just sit, sip & catch up on my email. Excellent coffee, small but nice selection of pastries.

Went today on the opening day of the farmers market, so naturally they were busy. We had the sausage breakfast burrito and my daughter had the veggie burrito. Her only complaint was a lot of onion, which is easily fixable. Everything was reasonably priced. Our coffees got delayed coming out and one of the ladies brought them to us and was kind enough to give us 2 cards for free drinks on our next visit. Very generous! It was our first visit since the new ownership and renovations. We'll definitely visit again on our Saturdays downtown.

Coffees pretty good, atmosphere is great, and friendly staff....tried to order a waffle breakfast sandwich, was outta waffles mix, dang it.So I went with smoked chicken on what I thought was a breakfast sandwich, but got only chicken and cheese on a soggy croissant...with cold chicken in the center.Wouldn't say a bad spot, as the food and coffee taste great!Could work on the quality of service(correct order verification, and actually hot food all the way through)Will visit again, when back in MO, to try again!

Two days in a row came in about an hour after opening for a cold brew. Both days was told that they are working on it. First day we left without buying anything, second day we settled for an iced americano. The iced americano was undrinkable, we didn't end up finishing it. Sad to throw two full drinks away.Was a very disappointing experience because both of us are in a master's program and looking for a coffee shop (preferably local) to study in. If a staff member explained when to come back for cold brew, that the timing we came in we should not expect it, or offered an alternative would have understood. Sadly, we did not receive any feedback from the staff. Would have loved to support a local business nearby, but after two failed attempts we will not be coming back. We ended up driving to knob noster both days when we want to support Warrensburg business.

Update! Not disgruntled! People deserve to know where their money is going and considering you can't delete reviews, I'd report it too! Nothing I said is inaccurate, just ask at least ten of the former employees!If I could give zero stars I would. The owners of this place don't care about their staff or the quality of their products. Just their appearance. They laid their staff off with 3 days notice and then shut down for 4 months and strung them along. They leave 5 star reviews on their own businesses that they don't care about and have multiple legal cases against them. If you wanna support a good local coffee shop in Warrensburg go to Java Junction. They've been a staple for 25 years and deserve your business much more than these out of touch people.

This is a lovely coffeehouse inside and out. I got a brown sugar latte which was delicious but did take quite a while to receive after ordering, and we were the only customers at the time. They did end up giving us free drink coupons for next time but I live in KC so not sure those will get used.Also got an egg biscuit sandwich with bacon - which unfortunately I would not recommend. The outside was really hot and the inner egg was cold. It was basically a microwaved sandwich.All in all I would go back for the coffee for sure. Also there is an adorable little shop across the street to browse while you are drinking your coffee!

Walking into the warm shop, the fragrant smell of coffee and pumpkin spiced drifted over to me and I couldn't keep the smile off my lips. I went to place an order but had no idea what I wanted- the staff there gave me one look and created such an amazing drink that I figured there was some magic going on. They knew exactly what would appeal to me and the staff was all so polite and conversational, really making me feel welcome. The barista who made me my order, I think it was Gavin, I was shocked to find out he wasn't the manager because he knows the place and the people so well. Five stars! And I'm definitely coming here again!

I've been here twice and every time I've been amazed. The service is wonderful and the coffee is outstanding!Update: this review was left when the establishment was being ran by the previous owners. I went in a couple months ago and have not returned because when I got my coffee it was all milk (it was even tinted white) and looked like it had maybe 1/3 of a shot in it. I explained to the employee and she said “if you want more coffee and less milk you can order a bigger size.” I was confused and tried to get my order remade and after that I just straight up gave up on this coffee shop. I’m not sure if they have improved since this time.Edit #2: I have seen today that it is under new ownership again. Will update review.

I'm not sure if I went on a bad day or what but the coffee was not good. My iced latte taste awful. It was like a cup of coffee watered down with milk. There were espresso/coffee grounds at the bottom of my cup. 3/5 because it's a nice vibe inside and the pastries looked great.

Much room for improvement.This coffee place manages to ruin even the simplest of drinks. The espresso tastes like it was roasted weeks in the past and that it's being pulled way too hot. I can't attest to the actual methods being employed by the baristas, but a place with such an excellent and small town vibe should be expected to produce better coffee than Starbucks.The service is excellent and more than friendly. I just wish the quality of coffee met the quality of atmosphere and service.

Good food, the drink specials are super creative and good. Chill vibes. The only gripe is the amount of flys in the place. I wish I could've sat and enjoyed my coffee without swatting away a fly every 10 seconds.

A lot of things to like in a coffeehouse: friendly service, personable baristas that don't rush you, quality coffee, clean environment. They were out of the cookies I would have opted for because we visited late in the day, so we went with a day old cinnamon roll. It was better than many places "fresh" pastries. I look forward to an earlier visit and really trying their baked goods.

LOVE the lattes here, the best in town. I always look forward in coming here. Very warm atmosphere, great staff and service. Good variety of baked goods. Wonderful place to meet up with friends, do a little light reading, homework or just a quick stop for a caffeine recharge.

Absolutely amazing place, from the staff to everything they serve is phenomenal but my favorite is the chicken salad, you cannot get a better chicken salad sandwich anywhere. Like my kiddo says, Dad can we have this every night for dinner LOL 10 out of 10 would recommend.

I didn’t go inside here but my husband did… we both had yummy paninis, I had the Chipotle Chicken and my husband a BBQ one. They make them with a chewy artisan like bread😊 coffee was yummy as well, we had a mocha and and a vanilla latte, oh and the chips they serve with the paninis were so yummy as well! Kettle cooked!
