An amazing place to stop during your travels on Hwy 13. A large variety of plants, outdoor metal art, Adirondack made from authentic material (no rot). Blankets from Mexico. Color glazed creations from Mexico as well? Pies, chocolate covered candies, taffy, Amish goods, and a variety of odds and ends.

Dutch Valley is awesome. Family owned. Beautiful flowers, indoor lighting, Signs, waterfalls, CBD products. They have everything. Great pricing. We go there twice a year.

This is said to be an Amish store and it is not. They sell CBD and a lot of items from Mexico. Yes, they have some items that you would find at a true Amish Community store but they are not what you think.

Been here twice as we traveled through the area and both times the customer services was lacking. This last time the guy behind the counter was on his cell phone the whole time talking to a friend. The first customer in line asked about the price of wind chimes and the cashier didn’t know the price so told her to hold on and disappeared into an office for a solid five minutes. The second customer got tired of waiting and started to return all his items. He made more than one trip because of the number of items he had. He had plenty of time because he was long gone by the time the cashier got back. He handed the woman a catalog and told her to look up the price (she would eventually get fed up and leave so he lost two customers in the time we were there). Mind you he is still chatting away on his cell phone the whole time. After ringing up our purchase he asked if we would like a box for it. We said yes and he pointed to a pile of boxes right beside the till and said we could dig through them while he went back to his phone conversation. I don’t think we will be back a third time. We can take a hint.

My wife and I love shopping there because of the allergy friendly foods and ingredients they have. The younger gentleman and lady have been super friendly and helpful every time we've visited, but the older gentleman is consistently rude. I called to ask if they had something in stock. I was given a blunt "no" and click of the phone before I could even ask a follow up question.

Much too expensive for the quality. I bought 5 tomatoes and wasn't really paying attention until after I arrived home. The 5 tomatoes cost 12 dollars ($12) for 5 tomatoes. And they aren't very good, they taste like Walmart tomatoes. I was expecting more from someone claiming to be a local grower. I don't recommend this store. Go to a farmers market instead.

I've driven by this place many times always saying I wanted to stop in but until yesterday I hadn't. I wish I would have went sooner! The man working was funny, very nice and answered all questions. The prices are amazing, they have a wide selection of spices, candies, decor, etc very beautiful furniture and light fixtures. There is something for everyone in this hidden gem. If you ever get the chance to pop in and take a look I highly recommend you do, you won't be disappointed!

I had been a regular customer of Dutch Valley for several years, but a month ago I had a very unpleasant experience there. I entered the store, did my shopping and went to check out. The young man behind the counter (one of the owners, as I understand it) who was wearing a mask, told me abruptly that I needed to put on a mask. I explained that, per the Johnson County mask mandate, I am exempt from wearing a mask. He said he didn’t care about exemptions, that he wasn’t going to risk being fined by the health department.I have spoken to other business owners in Johnson County who have told me they have received no such threats of fines. In any case, it is a violation of civil rights to refuse service to patrons who are unable to wear a mask due to health conditions. Before paying for my items I asked the young man if he was going to refuse me service the next time I came to his store. He wouldn’t answer my question, so I left the items on the counter and walked out.I have not been back since, nor will I ever again patronize this business unless I receive an apology, along with the assurance that those who cannot wear a mask are welcome in the store. As long as businesses continue to be so easily cowed by mandates (which are *not* laws) and the threat of fines, these totalitarian measures will continue to get worse.Update: The owner’s response contains some untruths. He absolutely DID say that he didn’t care about the exemptions to the mask policy. When I explained that I was exempt, he said, “It doesn’t matter. I’m not going to risk a $2,000 fine. Next time you come in here you have to wear a mask.”And although I was angry, I was not rude to him.I recently went back to the store and talked with the other owner, the father of the young man who behaved so poorly. The father was very nice, and was apologetic on his son’s behalf. I increased my rating to 3 stars to reflect my positive encounter with him.

Short on help...2people were all I seen. It was very busy and there was no one to ask questions to. Lots of beautiful flowers and produce but unless you went inside I did not see pricing outside for the flowers. Great variety of things, mainly just no one to ask questions to.

Stopped in today for the first time. They have some really neat stuff in here. The tomatoes were delicious. The guy who rang us up (the only employee we saw) was a bit rude. That's why a 3 of 5.

Metal art work is eye catching. Lots of Amish handy work. But, prices are pretty high. Got a couple of blankets, only to find them for half the price down the road. Greatest draw to me was the art work, though it was mostly out of my price range

A very peaceful shopping experience. They're taking over the market while Dutch Country Market on 50hwy is closing down. The selection for goods is much better than DCM ever had, and while they don't have the warehouse of furniture, they are more than fulfilling for all the spices, baked goods, and so much more than you even knew you needed! Drop by for a visit and see for yourself just how expansive their selection is!
