We have an English Bulldog, who loves going to see her friends at Alpine Grooming. The staff is professional, courteous, and kind. Our dog loves the staff and doesn't want to leave. I usually end up carrying her to the car. I would highly recommend Alpine Boarding and Grooming.

I was regularly boarding my dogs there for a week at a time. Paying to have my dogs walked 2 times a day.Was obvious by the odor when I went to pick them both up that they were not walked. One of my small dogs had cuts (puncture wounds)on his neck from a apparent fight. No one told me that but discovered that when I got him home and took off his collar. Then, both dogs had kennel cough too.I haven't been back since.

Great business!! Camilla and Spencer took great care of me and my doggie Willie Nelson. He loved them so much. It's so nice and clean in their main entrance and you can tell they really care about all the animals. I finally found my permanent groomer!!! Thank you to the girl that groomed Willie. ♡♡ Before and After photos.....

We picked our dogs up this morning after being out of town for 8 days to them covered in poop and pee, our german shepherd has poop matted into his fur and they came out looking petrified and running out the door. With as much money as we paid for boarding I expected so much more, I did not expect to come home to my dogs being neglected. All we were told was “You didn’t pay $6 for a walk, so if your dog has poop or pee on it than that’s their own fault” and that we could just bring them back and they would bathe them! I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone ever.

We have our dogs boarded here whenever we're out of town. They have taken terrific care of our fur babies.

Pet Parents Beware:We boarded our two healthy, happy dogs at a place that we thought we could trust. Little did we know the nightmare that this would turn into. On January 20th we received two phone calls (which we didn’t answer because we were sleeping) and a text message shortly after telling us that our 1 year & 3 month old puppy was dead. We didn’t even know there was anything wrong. We were told Tuna had stopped eating two days prior, and that they didn’t call us because they “didn’t want to bother us”. Those of you that have dogs and love them like your children will understand how ridiculous of a comment this was. Nothing in this world is more important than the health of our dogs to us. Had we been called, they would have been instructed to take her to the Vet immediately and the blockage in her intestine could have been found. Instead they let her sit in her kennel for two days with blood filling up her abdomen, in excruciating pain.I cannot in good conscience recommend this place to anyone. They obviously think they know your dogs better than you do. Had we been called at the first sign of trouble this may have been a very different story.RIP sweet Tuna girl - 10/31/20 • 01/20/22

We always board our dogs here. The owners TRULY love your animals. They are the BEST! We also use the grooming services. They make our pups look amazing. I refuse to go anywhere else. We have since moved away and I drive back to Warrensburg for Alpine grooming and boarding services.

Camilla is so kind and an excellent groomer! She took care of our cocker spaniel, and he turned out looking so dapper. Very friendly place! When we travel I will feel very confident leaving Winston in her care for boarding as well. Thank you Camilla and alpine grooming!!

To begin, I want to say that I was a manager of a doggy daycare for 2 years. I understand dogs bark. But I live in one of the townhomes located directly next to this facility, and I would never board my dog here. The dogs are outside or in their kennels alone left to bark at all hours, constantly. I have woken up almost every night for the last week at 3:00 to 4:00 in the morning to the dogs incessantly barking and howling. It is next to impossible to get a decent amount of sleep anymore. I work from home and they bark and howl all day every day as well, and the staff does nothing about this. As someone who used to manage a doggy daycare, that shows neglect. Dogs do not bark and howl for hours and hours at a time for no reason. Clearly these dogs are being left alone for hours at time both inside and outside.

I think this facility is absolutely a joke. They say things like “we run an indoor/outdoor facility…” where they leave the dogs outdoors at all hours of the night… My housing management office released a statement today condemning tenants with loud barking pets. However, the barking is strictly produced by this facility, located on the property next to us; as it's, "dedicated to giving quality pet care."If you read other reviews this faculty has a history of neglect and irresponsibility that in turn has led to the passing of loving pets. I will never condone their business principles, their inability to legitimately respond to community complaints of poor business practices, and actively produce measures that evolve their horrid business and make a place of worth and pet safety in our community.

This was by far the easiest grooming and boarding place we’ve ever dealt with! Super sweet ladies answering the phones and setting appointments and reminders. When they called to tell me they were finished with my two pit bulls (one being very large, strong and hyper) she said he was very strong but so happy. They came back smelling and looking amazing! Also, very good prices!! Very well done. We will be back! Thank you, thank you!!

Phones are never answered, voicemails are never returned.I actually feel like they unplug their phone sometimes because I'll call, refuse to leave a voicemail that will not be returned, and then call a second time to get an automated line without a single ring saying the number is not accepting calls (when, not 30 seconds prior, they let it ring all the way to voice mail.)Taken my dog here a few times, they do a good job with grooming, it always looks good. But honestly it's not worth the customer service hassle we have to go through just to make an appointment. The boarding spots look rather lackluster too. Would not board my animals here. Though if you can get in for a groom, it's pretty good.

Took my Lucy to get groomed at 0930 via appointment. The lady, not sure if she is the owner but talked down to me in a demeaning way when she asked how I wanted Lucy groomed. I said keep the coat the same length and a teddy bear cut. She said you want the same length? I said yes. And she said we do all pets teddybear cut. Then why did you ask me? Rude demeanor. I mentioned to my husband and he too said she talked down to him.. He thought maybe she had a language barrier understanding.. Afterwards, The lady who groomed her called and said Lucy is ready at 1115 . She said if I don't pick her up in 30 minutes she will charge a daycare fee. My husband called back and said he would be there in 5 mins. This is an unprofessional tactic. I will take my Lucy to another groomer.

Very professional, gave me a tour of the kennels. Showed me the outside summer and inside winter ones. My dog was in the inside ones. I am protective of my girl and when I came back to pick her up she was excited to see me again, but she also seemed sad to leave. I know she had a great time. I left her with 4 different toys and I picked her up with 4 toys. The will provide food and give an option for 1-2 walks a day.Great pricing and great staff! Will absolutely use this company again!

I was in town for my son’s college golf event and my 12 year old morkie needed a place to relax at while I attended the golf event for 2 days. Looking online for reviews of a good - safe place for our puppy to go during the day. Both Steve and Camilla were so professional - happy and assisted in getting the required documentation within a few minutes so I could bring our puppy and watch my son play. I would highly recommend Alpine to take care of your family pets. Darryl

CLOSED ☹️ Doc was the best, but he retired and sold property! He is all about the animal. He has been so kind and thoughtful taking care of my dear friend, Rory, who thanks to Doc's care at this clinic, lived to be nearly 15 years old, way past life expectancy for his breed. Prices are reasonable, but waiting time can be long. Without Dr. Means and the reasonable prices there would be many a pet in this part of the world without any veterinary care. Thank you, Dr. Means & staff.

Doc is awesome and really cares for his animals. He keeps things simple and doesn't have all the new fangled technology that other vets charge high prices for. He is very reasonable on all his prices and all his staff work very very hard trying to help everyone out. I always make an appointment so I don't have to wait in the walk in line, so that helps. Everyone there is very caring and make owning a pet very reasonable!

They are wonderful. They let me bring my 3 dogs in before work and then pick them up after work. All were very clean and taken care of. She even cleaned their collars. If you need your pet groomed see alpine pet grooming for your needs they are great.

I drive an hour and half from Kansas City to Warrensburg for Dr. Means. I had probably been to every Vet in the KC area until I found out about Dr. Means. He is truly the most amazing Vet ever and to be honest I would drive many many hours to his clinic just to know that my pets are in the best care possible. For those of you who say he is not a people person...Not true. He just doesn't like idiots who don't know how to take care of their pets and don't put them first. I have never had a bad encounter with Dr. Means. He is always respectful to me and easy to communicate with. He doesn't strike up a conversation with me as soon as I walk in, but guess what? He isn't there for me. I could care less to talk to him about how the weather is or tell him about what I've been up to. He is there for my dog and that's all I care about. He will give your pet the absolute best care in the world. I'm serious. As for his pricing...well, he is super affordable. In the city, it normally costs me $60-90 for a normal check up (not including any testing) and maybe some medication depending on where I go. I can usually get most of my services that I need done for my pets under $30. He is so incredibly affordable to the point where I have my dog checked multiple times a year for everything! (Yes, I am an overprotective pet parent and I admit it).I know the other reviewers have complained about his clinic and the smell. But think about it, he sees more pets in a day then most Vets in the area. Of course his clinic isn't going to smell like roses. He doesn't care to have the newest technology nor the fanciest clinic because he would much rather provide you with quality care that is affordable. Get over it. Your pet is more important than you and your comfort level. The wait is long also. But once again, he is busy because he is good. So you will have to wait your turn if you care about your pet. I once waited for 2+ hours and it was well worth it.

My husband and I recently moved to the area and needed a place for our cat to stay while we got settled. It is our cats first kennel stay and We chose to go with Alpine and were very greatful for our choice! The staff was extremely friendly and very flexible with our hectic schedule. We can most certainty tell that these people truly get to know the pets that are staying with them and give them the best of care. They even let us come visit our fur baby and see the facility during his stay. We highly recomend these great people to look after your pet(s)!!!

Please - be hesitant before you board at Alpine. My son and daughter-in-law left their 2 dogs there for 10 days - only to receive a call on day 9 that one of the dogs had passed. The negligence comes because they never called them to let them know that she stopped eating. Had they been contacted they would have had her taken to the vet to see what was going on. A necropsy showed that she had a blockage. The vet would have been able to see what was going on. PLEASE - if you are using ANY kennel - make sure they call you if your pet has stopped eating!!! That is a huge red flag!!!!!

We have been using Dr. Means for over 10 years. He has called us after 10PM to let us know the status of our pets are while doing his rounds. Very affordable but high quality care. He doesn't believe in price gouging. He will not tolerate idiot owners that let problems go for a long time. How will you know? He will tell you and you may not like it..... This may be where some of the negative reviews stem from. He takes great care of your pet and he believes us as owners should do the same. He is very personable and respectful to me and my wife. We engage in conversations every time we are there. He is very focused and may not initiate a conversation with you as he is fully focused on your pet. You have to understand that he works endless hours even checking on pets during the night if need be. He is super intelligent. When I'm talking to him I personally feel I'm in the presents of greatness. I mean the city should construct a monument to his achievements and contributions to the community and beyond. Sincerely, Kenny and Carla

GREAT place to board and groom your pets !!!The owners, Steve and Camilla, have continued the tradition of Dr, Means and give nothing but love and care to all the furry family members who come for short or longer stays. Before we moved away, we used Alpine every time to board our pets andhave nothing but the highest praise for the whole staff. They cared for our pets like they are the most important animals in the world, which to us they are. Even when we had special dietary, exercise, toy or grooming requests Steve and Camilla were happy to comply and made sure the animals received the best possible care. All our pets were happy when they arrived at Alpine, even our temperamental chihuahua, and sometimes even seemed reluctant to leave. We highly recommend Alpine and would have given 10 stars if possible.

Dr. Means has been our family vet for 30+ years, he is absolutely wonderful. Cares for animals so much, when I moved I took my cat to two different vets due to a recurring abscess, but it did not resolve until Dr.Means saw him and did a minor surgery. My cat is 12 years old and fully recovered. Thank you so much Alpine!!

Dr. Means is the best vet we've ever had through 12 years of pet ownership and 5 different cities. He truly loves the animals and has their best interest in mind. He always tells you what a test is for, what you will learn from it, and how much it costs so you can choose what is best rather than simply running a bunch of tests and charging you for all of it. He shows great compassion and even makes suggestions for home remedies.

Removed a tumor from my dogs leg, spayed her, and got the shots for my other dog.The total cost to include keeping her for 2 days and additional equipment (bite guard) was 150$. Insanely cheap and my dog made a fully recovery and can run just like she used to.I recommend this vet over anyone else.

My wife and I highly suggest Alpine Boarding! Our two dogs, Alaskan Malamute and Lab mix love them. Our dogs are always happy when we drop them off. They even made sure we could drop them off and pick them up past open hours, very friendly and always try to help!

good prices, but my dog is not a fan of the vet and cries while he is there. And since their phone line is ALWAYS busy, the only way to get his shots is to go in during walk in times and wait for hours (the longest I've waited was 4 hours once) and during one of my visits he started to get scared and nervous and I was asked to leave the pet clinic because my dog was crying. I was not impressed with how they handle their service and customers.
