Our service was absolutely amazing today!The new owners have really done a great job. The inside was nice and cool and very clean. Usually our servers are a little slow, but today the girl was perfect and so sweet! The food was hot and fresh and the cheeseballs were freaking amazing! We are so thrilled with the new owners!

I would definitely eat here again. We had the chili burger and a bacon cheeseburger with some of the Wappapello loaded fries and everything was very good! The burgers are not small and use fresh ingredients. The fries were hot and delicious, service was very friendly and prompt enough for a quick lunch. Atmosphere was small with only a handful of booths and a couple tables but all was clean, well lit and well decorated. Prices were also surprisingly affordable given the portion size. The ice cream looked amazing, with huge portions as well but sadly I was too full to get any. Next time!!

Great food and milkshakes. Staff is pleasant. There is a walk up window for a fast order and go. Parking can be a bit interesting when busy. We had to park in the back and walk around.Parking: Can be a bit of a pain when it's busy. There is some parking in the back but it's a mix of gravel and uneven blacktop.

The burgers are amazing and they have fried potatoes that are awesome too. I got a bacon cheeseburger and fried potatoes for like 8 bucks and it was great. I would high recommend this place.

Mom had a Taco salad and it looked really good. It had lots of ground beef on it and a big portion. I had the chicken tenders with fried okra and my food was just right also.Kid-friendliness: The kids are welcome and you can eat outside on the patio if you want to.

My girlfriend and I used to eat breakfast every Saturday and Sunday morning here. We just bought some property not far from there so it was convenient as well. It was such a great experience, that was or go to every Saturday and Sunday morning. Well the last couple weeks service is horrible. We get the same thing every morning we eat there. The waitress told my girlfriend that her plate that she gets every weekend didn't come with hashbrowns lol. Mind you this is the waitress that made a great impression but a different one. Literally before saying let me find out she got the menu and clearly didn't know what she was talking about. This weekend I gave them another chance which was this Saturday. My eggs were over well which I asked for over easy. Once she got my order she disappeared and didn't see her again till I went to pay. She asked me how everything was lol. Little too late now. I will never go there again for breakfast. I tip very good for good service the other girl I would leave a 40 percent because she was so good. Either the owner or the manager better get a grasp on this situation. I used to brag on them. I was even waiting for them to make hoodies. This Saturday they had them but in not going to advertise for bad service and rude WAITRESS AND UNATTENTIVE.

We spent Memorial Day weekend at Lake Wappapello and actually visited this place twice! First night it was for the ice cream and second night it was for the restaurant.This is a great little place! Good variety on the menu, great options for ice cream (I recommend the candy blenders) and really good employees!If you're in the Lake Wappapello area, stop by Speedy Cone! You won't regret it!

The burgers tasted like McDonald's burgers, the frys were basic, the okra was mushy, the salads aren't to bad and drink refills definitely do not come without asking. It is expensive because everything is sold separately. Seems like it should be a family place but really feels more like an quiet place elderly would go when they want eat in silence no children or young people around.Vegetarian options: I saw no vegetarian options other than salad with no meat.Parking: Not a lot of spots but they don't seem busy enough for a large parking lot.

The only reason I'm giving them any stars is because the shake my boyfriend got was really good even if it was super expensive. We could have gotten almost a large one at Sonic for the price of the small one here. He had ordered already and I ordered just french fries with pulled pork on it with some cheese because I can't eat bread due to a gluten allergy. I asked for this last season with no issues whatsoever. Yesterday, the girl waiting on me (who was super sweet) told me "that used to be on the menu when it was Carolina's and the owner said we can't make that"! Seriously??? Can't throw some pulled port on my fries rather than on a bun so I could actually eat something. They did not care that I had an allergy and absolutely refused to do it even though my boyfriend canceled his order due to this issue. I won't be back and I always liked this place. I was very disappointed that in this day and age they refused to do something so simple for someone with an allergy. I have to do something similar at places like this because of my allergy and it's never been an issue before. Ridiculous!

ETA: 2023, these owners are SO much better. Everything is back to the standards we are used to!I'm struggling with this review because I want to give them 5 stars, because I love this place, but this summer has been a rough one. I've gone 5 or 6 times and although the food is great, the transition from Carolina's to Speedy Cone has been rough. The service is usually super slow. One time we went and the cook was a young boy, and he was busy out front flirting and trying to visit with some other people who came in. The waitress called him out right in front of everyone and it was so unprofessional. There needs to be a grown adult in there instead of letting the teens run the place themselves. This last visit on August 11th was the worst so far. It took 25 minutes to get our food, my soda had a film all across the top of it. I asked for another and the replacement had a film as well. I watched some other tables and noticed other patrons that found the same in their drinks. Then I used the restroom and there was NO SOAP AND NO PAPER TOWELS. Yuck! I absolutely hate that the new owners aren't doing any better than this. We will just have to quit coming if it doesn't improve soon, which is sad, because, like I said, the food is great.

We had two piece fried chicken. Mashed potatoes with gravy and green beans. The food came out hot and was very tasty. The breading on the fried chicken was tasty as well as the green beans. We finished off with ice cream with Reese's and bananas. Not only was the food good,the service was exceptional. I would definitely eat here again.

Not at all what I was expecting. It's pretty much McDonald's quality food. Plus there's no house ranch, how do you call yourself restaurant without house ranch? These little ranch containers are gross. I recommend trying the restaurant next door
