The register is always broken, so customers are stuck waiting forever in a line to use self-checkout. The store is a total mess on most days, many items are never in their correct place for easy price checking, and when something is out-of-stock, you can guarantee it'll be months before it's restocked. Oh, and just like many other DGs, the actual sell price is often higher than the price it's listed as. I absolutely hate going here.

This place is a joke. Can never find workers, unless you go outside to find them smoking. They won’t allow customers to use the bathrooms because “people have been trashing it”. And workers are rude! I get that it is a dollar general and you can’t expect much but it shouldn’t be this bad.

Every time you go in there, employees are talking to friends,and you have to wait until their finished at times,it's a store,not a pub.

No place better for chocolate. Always clean and well lit. And as far as Dollar general goes the only Dollar general I've seen in a 30 mi radius, which is a hell of a lot because I go to Dollar general when it's the closest place and it's always the closest place because they're everywhere, the only better stocked Dollar general I've seen is robertsville Missouri. That Dollar General gets 6*. I haven't seen one yet that is below 4*.

This is going to be the best DG for its its always stocked shelves. The new management seems to be working out!....Just don't ask to use the restroom its never clean. That's why it's ☆☆☆☆/5

This one is my go-to when I need something fast. They are usually better stocked than the other ones in the area and have the best staff of the three regarding attentiveness, helpfulness, and work ethic. I even had an employee chase after me when I forgot a bag! It had my Snickers bar in there, and really would have made me sad!

I was buying food with EBT. After I swiped my card the cashier said there was $2 and change left to pay. I asked her to remove whatever didnt count as EBT and she told me it was because I didnt have enough money on my card. She wouldnt believe it was the system and not me being poor. Eventually she canceled the whole order and I had to go to self check and pay for everything one item at a time. Eventually figured out it was a turkey and cheese cracker lunchables. Walked over to cashier and told her I figured it out, this is the item that is coded wrong, and held it out to her. She just stood there and stared at me, arms at her sides, and would not take the item from me. Just stared while I held it out to her until I just sat it down and left. The whole check out process took like 30+ minutes! My ice cream was melted by the time I got out to my car.

I go to a few Dollar Generals throughout Franklin Co. Mo and I have to admit the employees and management are more friendly and are always quick to help out with anything even before you ask the questionAll store employees at DG in Villa Ridge are constantly stocking or performing other task every time I go in there. Clean store and best management by far, not to mention the outside of store looks cleaner than most.

this store has been recently updated and expanded which is nice as far as variety goes. but sometimes it smells funny. not funny haha, funny kinda uh uh... it also seems as though there are very few employees at any one given time so if you see a bunch of cars there you're gonna be hanging out in line for awhile. if you can, just go to the one in Robertsville.

Store is never staffed accordingly, merchandise is always stacked in the isle, shelves empty. Ten to fifteen minute wait to check out. With out fail there is always a price discrepancy, needing the manager who's standing outside smoking. Dollar general has been a benefit to the rural community, but in the time it takes to get checked out , I could have gone to Wal Mart.

Located next to the old Diamonds restaurant on Route 66. Shopping here saves a trip from Villa Ridge to St. Clair, Union, Washington, or Pacific. The staff here is helpful and the store is kept clean. This is one of my favorite Dollar General Stores to shop at. And because it is located less than a half mile from the gas stations and bank at the I44, Missouri Highway 100 West it makes for a quick stop before going on East on I44 to six flags or St Louis.

Isles always blocked. Usually smells like spoiled milk and food. Takes for ever to find someone to check out. Guy that has been there all summer still takes forever to check you out. Always has to get someone else to do part of it. Any other store is so much better than the Villa ridge store.

Love the soda prices!!You can grocery shop here too. Alot of lunch and dinner products. Also the bread is so fresh!!

Store is not managed well nor very clean. Since the original manager moved on, this store has really gone down hill. It saddens me, as this not only looks run down but as a community looks as we don't care about our little town. A store really reflects the people who manage it. 😒

Whoever’s working the register this afternoon treated my sister terribly when she attempted to ask about clearance items. My sister is the nicest person you’d ever meet. The employee was bitter and rude to her when she replied and it wasn’t necessary at all. Horrible customer service.

Always a helpful store. We frequent here a lot. They just had a remold as well so it’s pretty nice. I’d recommend this place. Just like any other DG.

I love DG but, my DG has a male working there who is not the least bit personable, doesn't know how to bag, and should you ask him a quesrion, he grunts. If it was not for him today, I would definitely give my experience 5 stars.

Our own little Walmart.. The store on Highway A T recently got a major update inside. They have a lot more freezer & refrigerator space, (LIKE THE WHOLE LENGTH OF THE STORE) !! And it's a nice change to the way it was set up before. They've brought in more & different items also !! Took a while to find out where everything is again, BUT, that's OK. WE LOVE THE NEW CHANGES. MS. TINA IS STILL DOIN A FANTASTIC JOB AS USUAL !!! SOME NEW PEOPLE WERE HIRED ALSO. WHICH IS ALWAYS GOOD FOR THE ECONOMY !!! THEIR STILL DOIN THE $5 OFF OF $25 ON SATURDAY'S & IT'S ON THE DOLLAR GENERAL APP OR IN THE SATURDAY COUPONS. THE DOLLAR GENERAL APP DIGITAL COUPON'S IS A LITTLE DIFFERENT ( or so it seems to me, I dunno ) MAYBE IT'S ME ?? CHECK IT OUT AND SEE !!!

You waited the cash register for 5 minutes why the employees are talking to their friends when you holler for help one of their Karen friends starts being a Karen needless to say I let them keep there groceries I will not shop there again.

The store is very dirty,box cutters just laying on the shelf where any child could get it. Parking lot trash everywhere and trash can over flowing and store was overly cluttered
