Very rude employee named Julia will just stare at you but never ask you if you want any help or need anything. Grade FI recently can’t walk well and Kim, Cassidy, and Amy have ALWAYS been friendly and helpful when I walk in and ask if they can run and get something for me because they know I’m not feeling well if I am having trouble walking. A+ for them 3 girls.This is a small town we live in so everyone knows everyone. I’m not from here so I don’t know everyone yet but when I’m just followed around and not said anything to or asked if I could be helped in anyway gets on the creepy side..someone needs to say something to her.

Great place to get cleaning supplies,and other food items at a decent price. Also got a new store in Laddiona that is bigger and has some new items. Love shopping at Dollar General!!

We shop at the Vandalia store location at least twice a week and the staff is very helpful and friendly, especially the manager she is very friendly and goes the extra mile when needed. 5 Stars

The store is pretty clean but the aisles have too many things in them. If a person in a wheelchair were to go in, I dont think they could get down the aisles. On the upside, it is very convenient for a quick trip, prices are pretty cheap and there are friendly clerks.

Thank you ladies...you guys were so swamped tonight, yet the both of you were as courtesy and helpful as always.During this time of the year especially people tend to be so on edge and in a hurry, and are not always so polite.You guys held it together, kept everyone happy, got them out with only a short wait.At one point one line had over 7 customers, but Makayla quickly called Jenny to the front and everyone was out of there in no time.It's always so nice to see great customer service!Thanks you two, keep up the outstanding job!HAPPY HOLIDAYS.

The workers are all really polite and have no problems helping you find whatever you need and they will even help out customers to get their purchases to their vehicle. I love shopping here its good deals and great service.

I love having a Dollar General Store in Vandalia and all the employees are so sweet. The only thing I hate it's so small inside not much room to move around. They need a BIGGER STORE!!

It is messy and crowded.. Very difficult to get down the aisles and very unorganized.. It is not a place that I would recommend to people.. The checkout is slow.. Staff is not always friendly and courteous..

This Dollar General is still arranged the old way. Shop here quick, because they're building a new one and it will probably be all black and yellow and convenience stored up...

This is where I get most of the items I need if I don't want to leave town. Reasonable prices, a little bit of everything, but customer service is hit or miss depending on who's working.
