What's better than an ice cream after a day of playing in the river.Jolly Cone is the place to be. It's been here for a long time, even been through the great flood.Ice cream is great, didn't try the food but I'm sure it's great too.Wish they had more places to sit, place gets busy.

What a great little place. Cash only if you are from out of town. The ATM was out of service so make sure you have cash with you when you go. Cheeseburger and fries were delicious. I had a sundae with hot fudge and carmel.....mmmmmmmIf you are in the Van Buren/current river area it's a must!

Nothing is better than a good dive-dinner experience! This outdoor burger and ice cream dive has something for everyone. The burgers are char grilled and the onion rings are crispy. They have a variety of treats for everyone. I recommend The Godfather! The facilities are clean and the workers were really friendly. The seating is spaced out and in the shade (they had fans when we were there). Prices are great too. Just a fun place to stop with a great history.

Nice, larger shaded area with seating so you aren't standing in the sun waiting on food or eating. My malt was great! My son enjoyed his banana split (very big portion, by the way). Friendly staff. Order taking was a bit slow but they were also very busy so I understood the wait, just keep in mind when stopping here that it isn't fast food.

The atmosphere was great. Ice cream and bar food was pretty standard, but who doesn't like a standard ice cream cone or a good old American burger? Doesn't really stand out as exceptional, but it tastes good.They could really use a dedicated "order" and "pickup" window. Poor kid who made ours stood there for 5 minutes, ice cream in hand waiting on someone to finish their order before he could give us our order.I'd definitely go back if I find myself in Van Buren again.Kid-friendliness: Super kid friendly.

The food is ok. The management is awful. I ordered a cheese burger with specific instructions. The girl who took my order and misunderstood the instruction. They remade the cheeseburger properly after explaining to the manager several times how I would like it made. I got up to the window and she asked me to pay for it. Just wow. Your mistake and I payed for it. Needless to say I wont ever come back here. Your loss not mine.*warning* make sure you explain in great detail if you have dietary needs*****

Their ice cream was very good. Service was with a smile. Small place but was ok. You will be waiting in line for awhile, we waited for 20 minutes to order. We then waited another 5 minutes to get our ice-cream.Parking: Small parking lot, for all those people going there.Kid-friendliness: If you can find a seat for the whole family it would be great.Wheelchair accessibility: It's all out side. No problems here!

Update hours of operation on Google.We like to search out local small buisness resturants while on road trips.This was one of the few that showed open on Sunday. Upon arrival it was closed. We are really bummed cause it sounded good based on other reviews.Still on our list to try next time we are in the area but it would be nice if the hours were correct.

Super clean restrooms, good burgers, great shakes and more.Our party of eight tried most of the menu. The Jolly burger (a sloppy joe, chili type of meat) was incredible. I wanted to order a pot to go for dinner tomorrow!The cheese curds were also surprisingly good, and they even have marina for dipping.The only miss was the nachos, it was concession stand cheese.We will definitely stop here anytime we are passing through, even if only for a nostalgic ice cream pick me up reminder that there is still hope for the world.

I always enjoy coming home and seeing family. I wait to eat food the entire day so I can devoure some Jolly Cone! I have eaten here for over 20 years and it's still my favorite place to eat!This place is a "local legend." Anytime I am asked where I'm from, the Jolly Cone is mentioned.I am happy to see this place thriving. With a wide variety of food selections, there is something for everyone to enjoy! Today, I'll be eating a Pizza Pocket, Cheese Curds, and a Strawberry Vanilla Mountain Dew! 🍓

I am a Carter County native and been going here all my life as kind of a summer tradition, and the last 3 times I have stopped here I was very disappointed with price versus quality of food and service. Yesterday I stopped and they was not real busy and I stood at the window for at least 10 min waiting for someone to take my order and there was no line might I add everyone else was either waiting on their food or eating at the tables. I ordered 4 small shakes and a plate of nachos which came to 25$ or a little less, and one of our cups had a hole in it which we did not realize til it was leaking all over the truck and the nachos we got were stale and the cheese was cold and there was literally nothing else on them.Better off to go up the hill to subway or McDonald's I won't be stopping here anymore which is a great disappointment to me as I hoped my kids would appreciate the tradition butthey are scalping prices for food that is not that great.

This is a wonderful place to enjoy good food, and friendly atmosphere, but thier was no way to pay by debit card. There was a lot of Flys at this facility as well.Kid-friendliness: No playground but there is a dog pack here.

Jolly cone is a tradition for us. It has been for many years. Every time we go to the river, the trip is not complete without a trip to the jolly cone. We have always enjoyed good food at a decent price up until our last visit in June. There were five of us. We ordered 5 cheeseburgers ,3 orders of fries, and four large drinks, one milk shake, an order of cheese sticks and an order of onions rings. The total rang up to 67 bucks and some change! I didn’t think I heard the girl correctly, but yeah we did. Come to find out they’ve added a gratuity tax of 18% to all orders. We were told this was to recover losses caused by covid. Sorry not buying that story. We were there 3 times last summer after float trips and each time it was packed! I hate to break tradition but the jolly cone is a bit beyond my floating budget, and for nearly 70 bucks, I’m sure we can find something else.
