Beautiful Motel. We visited a friend there and the atmosphere was very country/woodsy and had a log cabin feel. There's a bar on-site. It's quiet and peaceful and the room was cozy and comfortable and shower is amazing. Beautiful place. Outdoor seating right outside the room door is very comfortable and peaceful and shaded with a table. Very nice place.Nearby activities: Van Buren is a high tourist zone known for the current river. Less than a mile away or anywhere down the river you can float, swim, camp, hike, anything. There's a lot of beautiful natural areas to see in Van Buren. They also have a Zoo I've never been to it though. There's many caves nearby I've heard . There's the 21 drive in on highway 21 to see movies. There's an awesome dispensary nearby. Many good restaurants.

This motel is close to The Landing where we floated but the rooms are not clean. The bathroom was dirty and the shower had black mold on the the shower doors. It looks like the bathroom was not cleaned in a long time. It was nice having the little restaurant/bar right there and the food was very good. For the price they charge for the rooms they should take some of that money on cleaning and doing some updates to the rooms.Rooms: Dirty bathroom. Looks like it hasn't been cleaned in a while.Food & drinks: Good food and good prices.

Very affordable for off season, less than $70 in cash, room was surprisingly really clean for being a tourist town, I use a UV light and check the bed thoroughly, no DNA stains whatsoever or bed bugs were found, very well worth the night the bed is very soft and comfortable, the lady that rung me up is hilarious, her name is Charlie.... they have a bar on site, which is also the hotel office. Plus, there is access to the river, and a lot of beautiful scenery. I would recommend anyone to stay here for at least one night, the room has a very nice closet, the bathroom is a little bit small and it takes a little bit to get hot water but once it's on and going you will get a hot refreshing shower, the room has a cabin feel without the cabin price, has cable TV in the room however it's real staticky, this is the one issue I would recommend they fixNoteworthy details: Off street parking, private parking lot you will be able to park directly in front of your room with no issue

Despite arriving around 11:45pm, the check-in process was an adventure - it's at Cabri's Bar, across the parking lot. We made it to our room after filling a registration card and getting the key. The memory foam topped bed was exceptionally comfortable and the clean sheets ensured a restful sleep without any bed bugs. The small microwave and mini fridge were convenient, although the fridge lacked a freezer section. The shower, while unique and characteristic of a roadside motel, had decent pressure/hot water and added to the overall charm. If you're looking for affordable comfort and a touch of nostalgia, I recommend staying here.

This hotel is horrible. The check in lady assured me it was clean and no smoking. I took my grandson and we floated , after getting off river went in. Smelled like smoke. I have asthma, mold in shower area. Floor was sticky and disgusting. TV would not work, to toiletries. This has to be the worst dump ever. I ask for half my money back and they refused. We got in car and drove home 3.5 hours as we had no where to stay. Our adventure was ruined by the lying staff. And the dirtiness of this room. I'm currently contesting with credit card co. To get my money back. If your a one tooth, cornfield. Party head, that doesnt practice hygiene this is your place. Otherwise stay far away from this dump.

This place is trash. The bedding that was supposed to be white was yellow and also had blood stains. The room smelt awful. This place is conveniently located near a DG where I was able to buy new sheets, a throw blanket, and air freshener. If you stay in room 11, I highly recommend glade apple cinnamon plug ins, as they were strong enough to cover the smell for the weekend. I will never stay here again. That is all.

From our friendly encounter on the phone booking our room, to our check in to check out, we could not of asked for better service. Barbie and David and all the other lovely ladies that run this little piece of heaven get away are fantastic! The room was perfect for us! The food was great, and once again the genuine care and kindness of the staff there was way mind blowing! We will definitely be coming back to stay here again!

The person who described the nasty, horrible room was spot on. You could get dirty trying to shower here. I like giving my business to locals vs chains but the locals need to invest in cleaning and emptying the garbage. From the looks of the place I was afraid the banjo would start anytime...

Was not impressed with this place, I expected better since it was rated overall well. The bed was comfortable and clean and the lady that checked us in was nice. Other than that the room smelled, the A/C did not work well, large spiders and spiderwebs inside and all around the entrance, bathroom faucet just sprayed water everywhere (this would be a $5 fix but clearly hasn’t even been considered by the water staining everywhere), curtains didn’t close all the way so street light was shinning in on my eyes all night. The worst thing was the checkin counter in the bar. There was personal information including copied credit card and id information laying around on the desk for anyone to see. They asked for information I don’t even have to share with big chain hotels and there was no need to share it here either. I knew I should walk out when I saw the state of things in the bar, I regret not listening to my gut.

The room was a hot mess, bottom of bathroom door broken, toilet seat worn through, no light over bath vanity. Drapes terrible didn't cover window and window glass broken. Shower head corroded and shower stall dirty. Vanity facuets broken and did not work properly . No and I mean no hot water!Bed not bad and did have a tv. this room should never be rented out like this!

Rolled in just in time after a harrowing drive thru a heavy storm with broken wipers! The lovely lady at the desk, also bartender & cook tonight, got us a cheap room and her son on the grounds gave us emergency mechanic phone numbers for the next morning. Super-cozy bar with late night food (great burgers!) lovingly grilled by "Mom" was just what we needed! Totally saved our lives that night. Thanks Big Spring Motel!

Home away from home!That’s the best way to explain this motel!The bar is located in the parking lot, and they have the best atmosphere, and food!I forgot my contact case and solution, and the closest store is SUPER far away, especially after driving for 4 hours to get there! The sweet lady at the bar came to my room and brought me a brand new contact case and solution of hers! I couldn’t have been more grateful!The rooms are super clean and they have the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in!I wish I could give it 10 stars! 🖤

07/19/2018 My husband and I came here to stay and float down current river. We got a motel room, which was extremely clean. The bar is conveniently located across the parking lot. The staff, including the manager, Debbie, was wonderful. My husband and I had a blast! She made us laugh and totally catered to us. We came back the day we left to get a cheeseburger, and they are awesome. Felt like I was home away from home. Wonderful room, good service and awesome food. Be happy to share,...went to check in and had seen posted that they didn't allow pets but thought I would go in and confirm and she said that they did not allow pets. As I was leaving and searching for another hotel two women came out walking their small dogs, only got a picture of the 1 women. How unfair and rude of them. Wouldn't stay here because of unfair practices.

This place was very clean and in good repair. The downsides in my opinion was that there don't seem to be any non-smoking rooms, and there wasn't any WiFi (or at least it was broken). Otherwise it was fine and kind of cute in a log cabin kind of way.

This place stunk, the rooms were nasty, the beds were hard an not sure if they were clean, the bathroom had mildew an mold on the shower. I lightly bumped the nightstand and then 💡 blowed. I do not recommend this place. -1star

Horrible had a family emergency and wasn't able to make a float trip. I called to cancel my reservation 3 weeks in advance and was charged 80.00 fee that would not get refunded. When I spoke with the owner who reserved my room he became very hostile on the phone and told me that I could dispute the charge with CC company and he would be more than happy to take paperwork to them and charge me dispute charges and handling fees!!!! I will never stay at this hotel and the 20 of the friends that was also going to stay at this hotel will NEVER book another stay at Big Spring Hotel. Sadly he got 400.00 from us for booking our hotel rooms.

Stayed a week ago and it's still a good place to stay. Clean rooms, rustic feel. You don't need anything more or less. This is my 3rd time staying here and will be back.

Easy to find once you have the address, but if you try to do a reservation with the number you find on the internet you won’t be able to complete the reservation due no body answer, once you are at the place the phone number they have is totally different, cabins are clean and staff is gentle, normally one person is attending the front desk and the bar, so if you need to wait at front desk while they finish on the bar, is better to go to the bar an order a beer to make the waiting pleasant LOL
