Mr. Ed's Drive-In has been around for decades. The food is still as good as it was 50 years ago, and the service is just as outstanding. The only thing that's managed to change is the price. The people are still great; it's still in the middle of nowhere, and it's a slice of heaven when you don't have anything else around. They offer the typical drive-in type menu: malt shakes, burgers, chili dogs. I had a footlong chili dog loaded with toppings and the onion rings, and they were spot on—delicious! I highly recommend it, and if you don't find yourself driving by, it's well worth the extended drive to get there because it is just amazing. It's like a place where you want to hang out with your friends when you were kids, and then when you're adults, it's just the place to be. It's the best little roadside walk-through food shop with about four bench seats and a parking lot that'll hold half the town that you'll ever come across."Parking: Parking lot big enough that why was there eating my chili dog and onion rings over the tractor trailer pulled in and parked to grab something to eat

My family is on a road trip, and decided to stop in for lunch after seeing the sign. The decor is super cute, and the food was exactly what we were hoping for. We all got burgers and fries, and were not disappointed! My mom got a coney dog as well, which she raved about. It doesn't say anywhere inside, but they sell shirts, so we had to get one. Definitely worth the stop, and I'd love to come again if I'm in this area.

What a great little hamburger shop makes you think of the old days.... But you can get it to go, eat it there from a nice selection of sandwiches and ice cream.Go ahead and get the fried cheese or mushrooms.I had the cheeseburger and it was great.

This is one of those stops that has become a tradition in my family. We go to the lake every summer & boat, camp, fish, etc. Mr. Ed's is a delicious treat after being at the lake all day. If you're hungry, their food is quite tasty. But typically, we stop for the ice cream! The small cone is actually quite a big serving. They are not greedy with their servings at all. My family orders cones usually, but I love their shakes! Today, my daughter ordered the Java Cooler & I got to try it. Mmm, it's all so delicious! Don't pass by their tiny little building. A lot of great food & treats are served here. Also, you can order at an outside window or indoors & sit outside at their cute little tables overlooking a pasture, or you can eat indoors in the AC. Whatever you do, give Mr. Ed's a try. It may become a traditional stop for your family as well.

Must try curly fried crispy and right amount of salt perfect. Enjoyed shakes and burgers they were fresh. Establishment is traditional burger car hop food located out in middle of no where surrounded by fields and cows. I will be visiting again on my next trip to Urbana for buffalo mo.

Get to the point. I ordered a Double Cheese Burger. I ordered it with no mustard. I waitress told me that the double Cheese Burger does not come with mustard.Well, I got my Burger and it had mustard.So in short, I ordered a Burger that does not come with mustard, I specifically asked for No Mustard and I still got a Burger with mustard.

Stopped by Ed's after a long day hiking and could not be more satisfied. The bacon cheese burger was hot and fresh and the beef is high quality. The breaded mushrooms are great. My wife had iced cream for desert with the marshmallow cream on top and loved it. Even though they were busy the took our order quickly and had had our food out fast. We could not have asked for a more satisfying meal. Btw they do have pup cups so even our dogs got to enjoy Ed's quality service. Highly recommend stopping if you are in the area.Parking: Flat wide parking lot that can handle boat trailers.Kid-friendliness: Room for kids to play while you eat.Wheelchair accessibility: You can take your wheel chair all the way up to the order window.

The banana spilt was to die for. The chilli cheese fires was amazing. The chicken sandwich looked plain jane but it tasted super good as well.
