Good grocery store in a small town with very helpful and pleasant employees. Well stocked but things were pricier as compared to the east coast, which kinda surprised me. Regular large white eggs were $2.50 a dozen as opposed to $1.25 in PA, vegetables were $2-$3 more, but it's the only place for awhile, so it's to be expected. The meat was well priced. Anyway, has everything you need and great staff just don't be surprised if the bill is a little higher then you might expect.

Once again we went into hyvee and shopped around some, and when we went to check out and the ONLY thing the cashier said was " do you want your receipt ". The other gal that bagged my groceries didn't say one word...other than talking to the cashier.... and didn't even put my groceries in the cart or offer any help out. I've complained before and this continues. And yes I have complained to the store manager. The weekend is the worst time to go to this store, always young girls that talk about getting time off and where they are going. I really miss the other manager ( Chad ) and the older employees.

What happened to the "helpful smile in every isle"? Every time my husband or I come in...(sure you have the older employees that are friendly)....the check out girls are so busy talking to their friends or another employee about who did what..or what days they want off or where they are going that night or weekend. Sure maybe we are older people but what happened to taking care of the customer first. Hardly ever are we told thank you. I've shopped at Kirksville, Centerville..and clear up in Marshalltown and was always greeted and told thank you.

When you first walk in the door it is like wow beautiful! Everything is fronted on the shelves the produce department looks like something out of a magazine. I was so impressed that I live in Iowa but I will be shopping here for my store on a weekly basis. Everyone was very professional friendly and helpful. You can't ask for better people, produce, meats and goods. Jerry in produce you are the best!

Great store been with hyvee my whole life but their kitchen never gets orders right and is expensive and just saying if you don't like pickles and you tell them you wanted only onions and it comes with only pickles it just ruins the entire burger

It seems that these stores are in a constant change, moving aisles and products and changing kitchen products over and over. The saddest part was the loss of the meat counter and its ambitious staff. Getting fresh cuts of meat and cheeses was a mainstay of my visits, they also removed a huge amount of meats that was sad to see. The stores have reduced help it seems unless your a Starbucks fan where you will find plenty of help!

Our hy vee use to have best cheeseburger you could get anywhere now they are same price but over cooked pre patty. cheese balls $8.oo are you kidding me everyone says shop at home not a chance our only store has turned into a liquor store with convenience store prices..

Nice store, however they are not training their checkout people sufficiently. Bad experience today with Mathew. Had to go back after leaving the store and get charges corrected and fuel savers straightened out.

Nice store for a small town. Nice meat counter with items for grilling and quick meals. It has a deli area and sells seasonal essentials.
