My daughter and I love this place. The employees are attentive and comfortable with reptiles. I appreciate their openness to educate and train employees who are interested but not quite an expert reptilioloigst?... reptilarian?... reptilist?... reptilitorian? As you can see I obviously know next to nothing so I always have a lot of questions and there's always someone there who can answer my question. Until I started coming here with my daughter, I had a very basic level of comfort with reptiles based on stereotypical "facts" and outdated myths. While I have yet to actually hold a snake or lizard, I have learned they actually feel really awesome to touch. I have issues with the feeling of something crawling or moving across my skin, that's why you'll never catch me holding any of the spiders or bugs they have in the shop. But because of the shop's non-judgy, snek question friendly vibe, I might be comfortable enough to hold my first -not so- danger noodle in a few more visits.

Purchased a Reptile Habitat brand enclosure for my beardie Sir Didymous. They were very helpful in explaining where I could get directions to set it up, and the employee even helped me get it in my vehicle.

Wanted isopods for my Fiance's terrarium. We live closer to the St Peters location, and was told by them that they did not have any over there and to go to Troy, where they were definitely in stock. Called Troy location and they confirmed, stating they had multiple species available. Drove all the way out to this store today to find that the employee there said they only had dairy cow isopods (these can't go in our tank), and there were only two little containers. The employee there said there would be some at St. Peters soon. I called St. Peters and they said they did not have any but would ask the owners for more info and call me back. They never called me back.I drove an hour and a half total, left with no isopods, and just had to order them online. So much for trying to support the local business. Being actively misled and none of the employees being consistent led to an incredibly frustrating experience. I do not recommend this store.Edit: if what the reply said is true, the employee that was there at 5:30 on 2/6 needs to be trained on that because she told me they only had the dairy cows up front. Thank you for the response.

I walked into this shop today hoping to find an avicularia avicularia. I not only found one but they in fact had two for me to choose from. 😁 They have a super friendly staff, great prices, healthy critters and they even let me keep the critter keeper that she was kept in! I'll be back for sure. Thanks so much!

Awesome place! I wrote a more detailed review on the St. Peters store. Still trying to figure out who made the doors for the smaller enclosures. Great staff. CLEAN! Best exotic pet stores I have set foot in! Troy or St. Peters are Fantastic!

Awesome place to check and their prices are pretty much unbeatable..the guy I talked to was really helpful and knowledgeable about leopard geckos. Honestly learned a lot and what I thought I knew from people on Facebook turned out to be wrong. Will definitely be returning to this location on a normal basis. Thanks guys!

This place is great. I'm glad they opened in Troy. Now I don't have to travel great distances to get a reptile or amphibian. The workers there are polite and professional. I wish them nothing but success.

Decided to finally check out this shop as micky puts on amazing reptile shows and this did not disappoint had allt of great animals at amazing prices had everything from snakes to spiders tegus and a bunch of supplies was nice to also see snake racks 😀 😊
