One true example of an old time truck stop that still exists. Good quality food, delicious and served hot a fresh. With a smile might I add. Young waitress was friendly. I had hamburger steak breakfast and a slice of pie to go. I’ll put this place down on my list for definite return visits! Amazing and the truck parking is gravel but plentiful, just take it slow as to not stir up too much dust.

Came in an hr before close at the restaurant. The food was good and reasonably priced. The waitress was nice and social. The food came out quick and cooked as ordered.Please also remember some of the staff in the restaurant are younger, so keep that in mind when dealing with them. The staff tonight was very friendly and did their jobs well (even with being young).

This is basic of an old school truck stop as you’ll find. The pictures are accurate but when someone has multiple billboards advertising home made pie, I had to stop. And I’m glad I did! The pie was amazing, with 5-6 choices and a slice was only $4.5 after tax.Stop for a quick piece of pie and grab it to go even if you aren’t hungry!

Terrific traditional diner at this truck stop. Great food, great people, great prices. I pushed on from a bigger name place that I could have stopped at earlier, and I was glad I did. Lots of truck parking, good fuel prices and a well managed place. It's the diner that was the hit though!

The lady behind the counter was nice and welcoming and the highlight of the stop but the men's bathroom was not clean and there were no paper towels or an air dryer to to dry your hands. They did have plenty of snacks and drinks to keep you awake and alert while on the road. I believe there was a restaurant attached to the gas station store but I didn't eat there so I can't comment on the food. The station was easy to access from the highway so you don't have to worry about getting lost. I would say this is a no frills stop but fully functional and sometimes that's all you need.

Amazing waitress with fabulous recommendations. Also, kudos to the best cook ever. My over-medium eggs didn't only look perfect, they tasted better than perfect (without drenched in salt. It's a no-brainer, if you're within 50 miles you must eat here.

Service was horrible. Server should really learn people skills. Ordered country ham, and they brought out city ham, then refused to fix the order, making the comment, “We won’t continue making food,” and told me I’d need to eat somewhere else. Parking lot smells like piss, and the men’s restroom wasn’t in use to where I could even wash my hands.

Stopped here on my half hour break and it’s a small store with no showers but it’s a very welcoming place. The men who were working were friendly and chipper. Bathrooms were fairly clean no complaints from me. Only thing is they don’t have hot water at the moment. So when you wash your hands you’ll have to use the cold water for now. Definitely try the pies. The one I decided to try was their coconut pie. Very delicious and love what seem to of been custard on the bottom. Not too sweet and not bland. You can buy whole pies here as well. Will have to try more of the food in the cafe next time I pass through.

My friends Express envy that I "get to" enjoy random truck stop food all over the country. I usually tell them there are none of those places left. The Romanticism is gone. And if this is what they mean by Diner food, I'm not missing much. $13 (including tip) for a patty melt and fries (just water to drink) was way more than I felt I should have had to spend. But it tasted good.I found this place to be Dusty, Desolate, and Depressing, and decided to spend my 10 down the road at the TA, instead.

Ordered chili to be brought first, burger, fries, and slaw to be brought after. Thirty five minutes later, in an empty dining room, all dishes arrived simultaneously.Chili was hot, fries were warm, burger was on the cool side, but the meat was almost crunchy.Chili recipe was less than average, implementing baked beans. Quite bland with unpleasant texture.Waitress was not friendly, and the dining room was cold enough to make my nose run.Dining room was clean.

Refused to take an old 20$ bill from 1995. What ? Why ? It's good money, and I won't shop here again. I needed some food, and that's all the cash I had today. Here is a picture of the money your competition got instead of you. By the way this 20$ bill came out of your atm. Don't be ridiculous !

RACIST GAS STATION:::If you’re traveling I REPEAT DO NOT SHOP OR GIVE BUSINESS to this store … to this ride unprofessional place!! The lady had very bad body odor very poorly dressed which should have been my Que!! Do not stop and shop here! I was holding the door for my babies and the rude old lady says Close the door like what? then I told her what I was doing and she refused business it’s a gas station the doors are going open and close!! Didn’t even get a chance to change my kids diapers and get gas because this lady locked us out and when I asked for the owner or corporate information she refused !!!Yeah never again

Great family truck stop for truckers and families traveling. The building is split with a store on one side and a sit-down restaurant on the other. The food offerings are very simple, burgers, chicken, hot dogs. The thing that caught our eye on one of the signs prior to stopping was the homemade pies. The apple pie was delicious. I highly recommend getting it warmed up and alamode.

Old school nice people maybe just go there for the pie. I had ham steak dry and tough. Wanted Ribeye steak but only comes with fries no salad. Maybe just rest breakfast there. Good place just not for me

This place is a JOKE. The driveway makes you want to seek a chiropractor and the staff is insane. I went in for a cup of coffee and because I have to cool down my drink because of a stroke I have to get a very small amount of cappuccino and then add ice so I can drink it without burning my mouth because I can't feel it when I get burned. When I complained and said if I was going to have to pay for cappuccino then I would rather buy it, and then was told that I would still have to pay for their old burnt nasty coffee.EXPECT TO GET RIPPED OFF HERE. IT DOESN'T MATTER HOW LONG YOU HAVE BEEN IN BUSINESS IF YOU GOUGE TRAVELERS. I WON'T EVER STOP AGAIN EVEN IF I WAS OUT OF GAS AND WAS FORCED TO WAKK TO ANOTHER PLACE.

We always stop here while by Sweet Springs, and sometimes we make the trek from KC. It’s by far worth the trip. Great food and fantastic pies with amazing service.

Good little old truck stop. Good area for parking. Restaurant food was great. Betty was our waitress this evening, very pleasant lady. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the ladies restroom does need some attention, only 1 stall worked and needed to be cleaned the other 2 were marked out of order.

Hit and miss kinda place .. ordered tenderloin dinner at 7:45 pm Saturday but they were out of it as well as the coleslaw. Ordered chopped steak dinner instead which arrived with 'not hot' potatoes or green beans so I asked for it to be heated up, and for butter and steak sauce. Steak sauce hadn't been refrigerated and they only serve unhealthy vegetable oil as a cheap substitute for butter .. ? $$? .. Staff seemed pleasant and the Banana square was good so I offer 2 stars but unlikely to return. Most glaring issue is that the ownership hasn't responded to any of their reviews here so I doubt if things will improve.

Betty's is an old truck stop and it shows its age with the wear and tear. The reason it's still here and will be here in the future is it's outstanding food and service. Stopped by in passing to try the pie we saw advertised and we were so impressed we made a point to stop for an early lunch, and yes, more pie. The waitress was warm and bubbly and the food was hot and fresh with portions larger than expected.The truck lot is dirt but fairly level and a good size. Bathrooms are small and need some work and the store had your basics with friendly clerks.Look past the exterior and give Betty's a shot. You won't regret it.

I come here as often as I can when I'm out this way delivering. The Pie is to die for! FULL STOP! You can't go wrong with anything on the menu it's all fantastic. Everyone is super nice and welcoming. It's hard to find old school truck stops so please let's all help Betty's stay in business. I love coming here. I'm hoping one day they will add showers for us but nonetheless it's a favorite stop of mine and many other truckers. Also don't forget to buy a T-shirt when they are in stock 😉

Omg what a blast from the past!! Fricken love this place!! The food is awesome, definitely old school!!! Betty is an amazing person. The coconut cream pie is a must. As a trucker, I wish we had more places like this.

If I could leave this place a 0 I would !!! We ordered breakfast, the entire order was wrong, and then they REFUSED TO FIX IT !!! TELLING US TO EAT ELSEWHERE !!! AFTER WAITING OVER AN HOUR !!!Not one time were we rude !!! Oh well, we will NEVER step foot in this rude nasty place again.
