I ordered an breaker for an electrical panel online, picked it up from this store but then found a better deal elsewhere so I went to return the item.I had to try and return it 4 different times because Tim Turner didn't know how to do a refund and I eventually had to do his job for him and call the company, get the Retail Help Phone Number for him, and baby feed him how to take care of a customer. He wasn't rude about it, but wasn't helpful at all.He was computer illiterate and all he had to do was type my order number in (yes, I had the receipt), then click the giant red box that says "process a return"Welcome to the year 2000, we have the internet.Plus one star for Ace having a good price for the item.

I’ve been three times and haven’t been able to get what I wanted yet. I love the character of the building and the people that work there but if you really need something specific, I wouldn’t suggest this place.

Found the MOST unique oriole feeder there! Loved the selection of parts electronics to fix my lamps, great price on packaged stakes for my tomatoes and a fun toy! They even added "flea market" booths in back with vintage goodies! Another reson to drop back by!

Always fun going here. This store has many items that I can not find in other locations. Rath one is more like a general store of times gone by. The staff sits at the front desk and can direct you to what you are looking for and if they don't have the item they can recommend where you may find it.

There were a lot of cool stuff in the store to look at, but every time you walk in there they treat you like you're going to steal something. You walk in and they asked you what you're looking for and tell you which aisle is on, then they watch u the whole time ur in there. I understand being paranoid of shoplifters, but I'll never understand treating everyone who walks through that door is if they know you are a shoplifter. I wanted to look around but felt that I needed to grab what I came in for and get out as fast as I could. I also noticed that a lot of their prices were higher than the other Ace Hardware Stores

I love this little a c e store. It always has the neatest things a great price that you won't find it in any other Ace Hardware Store. The people are super nice and the lady at the checkout this just as sweet as could be. It is a jewel for the North Side of Springfield

There always helpful when I go in there, and friendly. The tall guy that works there is very knowledgeable and will help if he can. Check with them to see if the item is in stock before you go. Been there for many years in business!

Went to this store my first time and not even in the store 10 minutes and the owner straight said if we didn't need anything to leave that it wasn't a place to hangout when all we were doing was checking all this store had to offer and after that I was not only hurt but not at all satisfied with this man's customer service.... I wouldn't suggest this place to my enemy's 😡

I love supporting this hardware store. Lots of choices, things you can't find at the big box stores, with good quality and prices. The people are knowledgeable and friendly.I've purchased good garden tools and watering devices here and been very satisfied.

Love this place!! Has a thrift side and second hand tools for as cheap as they were years ago!! He keeps things nice and cheap and suuuper friendly! Best place to go for tools nowadays in my opinion

Terrible customer service and very rude.The woman screaming while she was sitting down checking people out was extremely unprofessional. I walked in without wearing a mask and even tho I am exempt before I could even put one on the man literally forcibly hands on threw me out of the store.I asked if they had my product or if they could bring it to me curbside and the man just said no no no. Whether or not they had the item or not apparently he didn’t wanna make a sale .They will never get another dime of my business.

I just showed up at 3 minutes until 5pm. Locked down tighter than a drum.It must be nice to be able to come and go as you please. Why do you have hours if you don't keep them.Trust that I will never patronize your establishment again ever.Shame you you.

Tried getting supplies last week. I had my child with me. When I walked in wearing my mask, this old lady wearing a, imho a useless face shield, hollered she can't come in here without a mask. I informed her she was under the age requirements of Springfield. She responded I don't know about that, rang her bell for her boss, and I waited, and waited.Finally I just left. My time is more valuable and waiting because staff is ill informed on the local laws. I went to a different Ace and was in and out.I will never try this place again based on her rude treatment of my daughter and I.

Was once a decent hardware store. Now half the store looks like a pawn shop with kids toys, curios and plastic nick nacks scattered around. The prices are 20% over Consumer's hardware down the street and the guy who owns/runs it is rude and creepy treating everyone like a possible shoplifter.

I enjoy browsing through here (usually on my way home from the farmer's market). Such an eclectic assortment. It's a hardware/housewares/gardening/recycled goods store. Swear they have stuff that is brand new from the 70s and 80s in there.. love to find the unusal! 😁

Rathbone is a great hardware store that's been there many many year's and I have never asked for anything he didn't know exactly where it was and how it worked. Verry helpful and pleasant. I feel right at home there.

What a surprising gem. Found a very hard to find product in stock that the major hardware stores didn't have. Also found my Japanese handsaw there also. Wife and I are going back when we have more time to browse.

My favorite store in SGF just to browse - cross between a hardware store and a general store. Helpful and knowledgeable staff if you do have a hardware question. Update 2018: I continue dropping in here with my hardware questions...
